We’re not at the IVF stage yet but been working with a fertility clinic for a while, I had a review recently but I’ve got more questions that I forgot to ask/have come up after reflecting on the appt. Including whether some other tests are appropriate. It feels reasonable to ask if these are possibly, particular if they agree and could happen before next review, but I also feel like I’ve got my next appt booked and is the expectation that I wait for that? I guess don’t ask, don’t get! I also had another chemical pregnancy since the review so it seems reasonable to share this too?
(Probably just looking for reassurance as it’s all so loaded and hard to navigate!)

If private, sure
if nhs, go for it but don’t expect a quick response, and quite understandably

Yes nhs! That’s the thing - does the consultant review things like this outside of allocated appointments?! Last time I called between appts with an issue, the secretariat did actually book me another appt to discuss with the consultant sooner, so maybe that’s the process.
it does feel like we’re just wasting time between appts but I totally get that is the NHS system as it stands, sadly

I imagine you'd have to wait for the appointment but no harm in asking/seeing if you can speak to them sooner - my policy had always been don't ask, don't get, and you've sometimes got to be a bit pushy in this process!

Thank you. I did email and got almost immediate reply back from the lovely secretary. I didn’t end up asking about the additional test but I did ask a question which was answered and has reassured me!
