Anyone in the 2ww? 1dp5dt FET at Ark in Athens

I’m 1dp5dt after having my transfer yesterday, we transferred a beautiful 4AB embryo that my Dr said was perfect so now the dreaded 2ww begins.

This is my first FET with Ark in Athens but 7th transfer overall, hoping this transfer sticks and gives us a long awaited sibling for our daughter who was also conceived via IVF when we were at Ninewells.

anyone else in the 2ww?

Not currently in a 2ww. We did a transfer in November and got a faint positive at 5dp5dt and it got a little darker at 7dpt. My hcg beta at 13dpt was 102 but my second beta unfortunately didnt double as it should of had and inevitably i miscarried at 7 weeks. We are hoping to start over with a new cycle end of February or early march so im hoping to be back in the 2ww wait journey in no time at all. I wish you all the luck and send all the baby dust your way for this 2ww and fingers xd for a positive test.

I lost a baby at 18 weeks last year to infection and we had 2 failed cycles at our clinic in the UK before we travelled to Athens - I’m so glad we went and it’s been worth it so far I’m just hoping this cycle has worked but also trying to manage my expectations that it might not 🫠 it’s so hard isn’t it. We have also had a second trimester loss so I am very sorry for what you have been through and I hope your rainbow baby comes soon.
Will you be testing early? Does the clinic you attend do a beta hcg or do you do a home pregnancy test and ring them with results?

@Miraclemuma03 I’m so sorry you’ve also had a second trimester loss, it is a pain like no other and the worst pain I have experienced in my life 💔

I have ordered a few first response and clear blue early tests so I can test from Tuesday when I’ll be 5dp5dt but I will try and hold off. My clinic wants me to get a blood test but not sure I’ll get the results before the 23rd when they close for Christmas so they have instructed me to either get a blood test or take two urine tests.

i go between feeling hopeful and thinking this could be it and want to test as soon as I possibly can to not feeling all that hopeful and wanting to stay in my PUPO bubble as long as possible.

I have everything xd this cycle is the one. I always hated testing early incase it was negative and then my pupo bubble was popped. But still cant help testing between 5dpt and 7dpt.

@Miraclemuma03 i tested today at 4dp5dt and stark negative 😩🤦‍♀️
I know myself it’s far too early and this was a frozen transfer so it can be as late as 7-9dpt to get a positive if it’s worked but I went down the google and instagram rabbit hole and seeing all the bfp at this point made me want to test - wish I hadn’t now 😏

not feeling hopeful for this transfer but it’s not over until it’s over 🤞🏻🙏🏻

Oh no!!! Yeah stay out of the google mine field . I have done that lots of times before. Its only worked once for me at 4dpt but honestly could have also been the booster but that went on to be a successful pregnancy. But I panicked and stressed the entire time .

@Miraclemuma03 ive seen more posts that women have got their bfp later on so I’m feeling a bit more hopeful, took another test and still negative 😩 why do we do this to ourselves?!

my last bfp was a really really faint line at 5dp5dt but it was a fresh transfer, this is frozen, when I got my bfp with my daughter I didn’t test until 12dp5dt and it was a clear positive so I’m going to wait until the weekend before I test again, my OTD isn’t until next Tuesday.

Definitely just stop testing and try to stay in the 2ww happy bubble.

@Miraclemuma03 yeah definitely, even my husband said it’s too early 😅 after all these years and cycles he’s learning something!

I’m back at work tomorrow which I’m equally dreading but also glad of the distraction, keeping myself busy with shopping and organising the house for Christmas. We’re not hosting anyone apart from my mums family on Christmas Eve just to exchange gifts for the kids and then Christmas Day is a quiet day as a family which is what I’m needing this year x
