Frozen Embryo finally transferred

I had my embryo transferred yesterday and now I’m on the TWW which I will be suprised if I don’t lose my sanity by then. 😄 I’d like to know if anyone that hasn’t got the patience of saint like me tested early? And if so how many days early?

Ohh not too long to go. It is so tough. I totally empathise! Mine is 13th so we are in this together! My husband is also out of the county with work on my test date so I’ll have to do it alone and break the news to him which I’m not loving the idea of. Sending a virtual handhold to you! We are on the count down together.

are you working or anything at the minute? My job is super busy right now which is helpful as I’m distracted all day but evenings is where I go a bit mad!

@Ubergood no updates yet. Havnt retested and still waiting for tests to be delivered. The delivery service where I live is a bit ridiculous. Il probably have my beta before my tests arrive hhaah but im 7dp6dt today.

@Krystalrose55 some woman have very closed cervix so sedation to losen everything is all that you can do. I actually dont really feel anything with a fet. I feel it but its not painful if that makes sense? Wow 8dpt and you havnt tested yet? I miss the days when I had that much discipline lol.

@Ubergood thats a shame that your husband won’t be with you when you take the test. yes we definitely are in this together only a day apart it’s crazy iv just been trying to keep busy. I work weekends 12 hour shifts.

@Miraclemuma03 hopefully a BFP for you and we are close together too with the test dates,yeah that makes sense, the doctor said I have a tight cervix 😣 so I’m not looking forward to future FETs. Iv just been keeping myself busy but my boyfriend wants me to take a test tomorrow I don’t want him to get his hopes up.

Sending good luck and strength to you all. I’ve never tested early. I have had one successful FET (unsuccessful fresh and a few frozen). I actually felt like I wasn’t pregnant on the one that worked. One of the other times I was convinced it had worked and so was poor DH. It’s a horrible rollercoaster.

@Ubergood do what works for you re the testing and sharing with your husband - perhaps advise him that you might just text him and preferably not when he’s with others (obviously up to him to let you know his schedule). Either way it goes it’s emotional.

I did retest later on today. The test is still light so I dont know . Guess im technically pregnant so i think il just wait for beta from here and hope for the best. Testing has just made me regret it and more anxiety.

That’s good you have a faint positive @Miraclemuma03! Keep us posted. I don’t actually have many tests left which might help with the discipline. But a faint positive is still somrthing. Hopefully that line keeps getting stronger.

Thanks so much @LongerthanMrTicklesarms. he’s going to be in a totally different time zone so most likely he will be sleeping when I test, but he sees totally unbothered about how I break the news. I did ask him how he wanted me to tell him and he wasn’t too bothered, so I think I’m just making this into more than it needs to be!

@Krystalrose55I admire your discipline! You’re an example to us all. I can imagine you are struggling if you’ve nothing to distract you at the minute, but those 12 hour shifts at the weekend will give you a break from your thoughts hopefully!

I would ask re sedation if you can next time (hopefully you won’t need to do it again), as the whole idea is that it relaxes everything as @Miraclemuma03 says, so I didn’t have any pain afterward and I would normally be cramping at a smear test even.

@Ubergood Thank you just been trying to keep away from the tests to be honest but I can see today as definitely being my testing day. yeah my shifts definitely distract me when I’m not at home. I hope not but I will ask if I can be put under next time if I do need to do a FET again.

@Miraclemuma03 I hope that faint positive that you currently have gets stronger each day and have a successful beta on your test day.

I am on day 9 and still negative. Appreciate I’ve got a few more days of testing left but I’m pretty sure that this hasn’t worked. I just knew that it wouldn’t. Everyone I know doing this had it work first time but life just doesn’t go like that for me.

On 10dpt I got a yes on a frer digital and a stronger line on a frer line test. Im now 12dpt and have beta tomorrow morning.

Honestly I don’t have the patience of a saint, I’m just usually reluctant to test and go from PUPO to ‘otherwise’. I don’t get excited to test, possibly self preservation.

test day and Im getting darker positives!! 🥳🤩

My test day is tomorrow but it was negative last time I checked and all my symptoms have stopped about a week ago. So it’s not worked for me this time, but I’m doing okay. I just knew in my bones it hadn’t worked before we even transfered.

@Ubergood Thank you!!i think i started testing on the 7th it was a very faint line to start with, I’m so sorry that it didn’t work out for you.

Do you do a beta hcg blood?

I see all these mention of betas but my clinic hasn’t mentioned it at all so I don’t know if my clinic does that. When do they normally do them?

Our clinic does them between 12 and 14dpt.

Im going well, il be 5 weeks on saturday.

Congrats! That’s so exciting 😀I’m doing good, I just knew it hadn’t worked so I am not feeling deflated or anything. But I am so happy for you both!

@Ubergood whats your next steps now?

I have no idea! I am supposed to retest on Saturday which I will do but there’s no chance it will be positive now. And then speak to the clinic. We have three frozen embryos left, but it’s just if I want to go through another FET or whether I give myself a break. I’ve just done two rounds frozen and a FET so I’m sure my body could do with a break. Any advice?

No real advice. You have to do what you feel is right for your body. After a failed fresh transfer in august we waited until October to do a frozen embryo transfer of our last embryo and so far that has worked out for us. Of course I have no control over what happens from here but I got the positive test after a long year. I did not want to transfer in september, I just didnt feel as though I was ready so id also say go with your gut instincts
