I’m currently 8 weeks 2 days pregnant and my clinic said to stop taking Progynova this evening and that it’s done its job after my viability scan last week. Has anyone any experiences they can share of when they stoped taking this?

Thank you @Btowngirl I am a little concerned my clinic told me to stop taking tomorrow. I have enough so I may just take it a little bit longer x

It feels a big step to stop them doesn’t it, I felt hesitant even at 14 weeks to be honest. Double check this but I believe it doesn’t do any harm continuing them if they’ve said stop!

I was 16 weeks and currently about to go into 37 weeks pregnant! I very much believe in the power of progesterone! We had a bleed/haematoma and a consultant (not our usual one) told us to stop taking everything as it was over for us. I said if I chose to keep going would that be a problem and he said no it’s fine, wouldn’t affect me. I just felt I wanted to keep going and lo and behold turned out to be a haematoma and here we are!

Yes I am scheduled to take progesterone for another while but this is for the Progynova/Femtab (oestrogen) . I agree with you @MrsBP15and I will be on this for a while longer.

You can stop the oestrogen, you dont need to continue on them. If you have progesterone support, then id continue with those instead until at minimum 10 weeks when the placenta takes over and produces its own hormones.

@Miraclemuma03thank you so much. I had a bit of a panic attack looking at my calendar last night and it said to stop them today but online was seeing different thoughts. I am questioning everything and so panicked x

Sorry @Miraclemuma03 my baby brain kicked in there. I meant to say oestrogen which I stopped at 12 weeks! Hope that helps, wishing you so much luck for your pregnancy x
