Was this a chemical pregnancy

Hi ladies, I’m back.
So after the embryo transfer last weds I started doing some dip pregnancy tests (on a previous post)
I moved over to FRER yesterday night and got a darker second line. This morning I did it again (I feel like a testing addict) and the line looks lighter so now I’m thinking it’s a chemical pregnancy or that I have lost it. I know lines get darker so the fact it’s getting lighter is scaring me that it was chemical (I mean I started testing way early anyway) but feeling a bit devastated. Top pic was last night at 8- bottom pic is this morning at 7.30. Only one glass of water drunk in between

Was this a chemical pregnancy

Arrghhhh that’s amazing! I’m so so happy for you- I know what you mean, but it’s going to be ok- it really really is. I have found lots of clinic do scans at any stage which aren’t too expensive (one is about £40 a go) so if you do feel anxious could you book one of those? But you don’t need to be, it’s going to go smoothly xx I’m so so so happy for you ❤️❤️❤️

Ya I'm just going to go along with their scans cos extra ones outside of my clinic aren't going to prevent a worse outcome so I'm just gonna try relax and do what they say. Is today your OTD? Hope you're doing ok♥️

@mummyofnone how are you getting on? I think today is test day for you if I recall correctly?

I really hope you can find a way to relax a bit after getting the results, as I'm sure it'll be good news. Unfortunately until you can start feeling the baby kick around 18-20 weeks, there is a lot of waiting and having to trust everything is ok between scans.

Wishing you the best for today! 🌻

Thank you so much for your message! I did the test and it’s positive!!! I’m so relieved (but now nervous about the scan) I’m also a little confused by the dates the hospital has given and so wanted to start another thread to ask other women but wonder if I’ll be seen as the mumsnet addict lol x

That's great news! Congrats!!! You are over the first big hurdle now. I guess every scan will be stressful, but it'll get better once you've seen a heart rate and even more when you can feel them kick.

What dates did they give you? I haven't gotten any dates yet?

Thats great news. Congratulations!!! What were your dates that you were given? Did you start a new thread for this?

Thank you so much- now I’m so nervous about the 7 week scan because I have heard about all the horrible things. According to clear blue I’m 2-3 weeks pregnant but the hospital said 4 weeks. I was so confused and so worried that my 7 week scan would be early (and that they wouldn’t see what they needed to) but apparently that’s how the nhs count it - from the last day or your last period, not from the date the egg was fertilised. I decided not to do a new thread as I was worried everyone would get annoyed with me xx how are you getting on xx

Thank you so much- you are so right, I’m so nervous about getting to the 7 week scan- I’m just praying that it will all be ok xx they just said that I was 4 weeks pregnant and I was really confused as it was a 5 day embryo that was put back on 11th June - but apparently they count it from your period. Just praying the little embryo is in the right place and has a little heartbeat x

Great to hear you're doing good. I think the clear blue weeks test you add on 2 weeks so 2-3 would be about 5 weeks. How you feeling? Have you any symptoms or anything yet?

Usually a pregnancy is counted from your last period and by the time you conceive you are 2 weeks pregnant, by the end of the 2ww you are usually classed as 4 weeks pregnant. Hope that helps with your calculations. Try not to stress about the 7 week scan. Enjoy the just now that you are pregnant. Easier said then done i know but stressing about the things you cant change and dont know what the outcome will be will make the pregnancy really stressful and you will forget the miracle of being pregnant in the first place. Celebrate the wins, your first hurdle is over, which is getting that positive test, so enjoy that miracle.
