Please help me whilst I cry over trying to find vaginal probiotics

Why are they rarer than gold?!

I was recommended bio care intrafresh plus by my clinic. I spent ages looking and ordered from two separate websites (which to be honest look like small dodgy sites) as I couldn’t find them anywhere else. Been over a week and so far neither have turned up, despite spending £150 so far.

im due to start my FET probably next week and was supposed to squeeze in 10 days worth before my period comes.

does anyone have any recommendations for vaginal probiotics, preferably ones on Amazon prime I could get next day.

Hi, my doctors did not provide me with an exact brand, but told me that it should contain Lactobacilli from Crispatus family, so I got this:

I was on strong antibiotics treatment that time so I made an intensive program (7+14 days) and then the normal dosage. It worked for me.

I ordered the bio care ones direct from their website and they came pretty quickly?

@NiftyAmberLioni don’t think the ones of their site are the ‘plus’ ones. However my husband just saw something that says the plus ones have been discontinued so I have now bought the normal ones. Wish my clinic had told me from the start instead of me running around trying to find the plus ones

ah yeh that’s true - what do the plus ones have in them that the normal ones don’t? Out of interest have your clinic said it’s ok to just do the probiotics in the fet cycle? Waiting for my test results atm from emma/alice and worried it’s going to mean delaying my fet!

@lemons44 - 7 days 4 capsules/day, 14 days 2 capsules/day and then just 1 capsules/day. This portions were recommended on the package if you are post-antibiotic therapy.

Not sure if useful, but I was told to take Zita West Femceive to support virginal microbiome by my nutritionist. It’s a course and I started it during the stimulation phase.

Was it enough doing just an oral probiotic rather than vaginal then? Thanks

@NiftyAmberLion - It was working for me. I had an infection (kidney from a UTI) with strong antibiotics in Jan, made the FET start of April and I just had yesterday my 12 weeks dating scan. As previously I had issues with my uterine microbioma, I made in every 3-4 months a probiotics treatment using the pessaries (Canesflor), but now for almost a year I could not purchase them in the UK. I think the vaginal is better, but it seems they are barely available nowadays.

I have some extra boxes of biocare intrafresh plus. I was having treatment and ordered quite a few boxes before it was discontinued as this was the only probiotic that agreed with me and clinics say the 'plus' is safe to use when a pregnancy is planned (doesn't contain garlic and rose oil). I know how impossible it is to get hold of now it has been discontinued, so if anyone needs any, please let me know! Feel free to private message me 🙂
