Syringes and vials in carry on bag - travelling

Hi all, i’ll be taking a short flight (less than 2 hours) for a pre-booked holiday and need to take my meds (vials and syringes) with me. Flying with BA. I checked their website and looks like they’d only ask for a copy of prescription if anything. I want them in my carry on bag because i’m so scared of losing them! Do i need to prepare anything else or will it be straightforward?

@Ivf4203 I have travelled many times with mine and have never been asked any questions, security even allow many extra 'liquid' bags for the vials, I've used easy jet, ryanair, BA and Qatar, flew from Heathrow and Manchester and never had any issues

Same here, I’ve travelled with work a few times during various ivf rounds with my meds and I’ve bagged them in the clear bags for security but never been asked about them by anyone. Also travelled with BA several times among others.

Likewise @Ivf4203. My hospital gave me a letter to say I’m undergoing fertility treatment and therefore need to travel with meds / syringes. I had no issues at the airport.

Travelled to Morocco with meds in hand luggage last cycle. Took a letter but nobody batted an eyelid either leg and I never had to produce it. Definitely don't check them in - because of the loss risk you mentioned and also potential temperature changes.
