Fertility clinic or Gynaecologist

Have been with a fertility clinic for a year now, for ovulation induction. During this time it was noted I had a fibroid but I was told it wouldn't cause any issues. During the past year I have ovulated from my left side 9 times out of 10, which I have flagged as not being normal but no one has said they are concerned. My right ovary is much more polycystic than the left, and can be seen very clearly from scans.

I recently had a miscarriage, and the hospital flagged that the fibroid was 5cm and therefore quite large but said it was unlikely to have been the cause of the miscarriage. Although they did say it was causing the gestational sac to be off centre from where they would usually see it.

Am I right in having concerns regarding the polycystic ovary, only ovulating from one side and also the fibroid? The fertility clinic do not believe these to be issues. Would I be best visiting a gynaecologist who specialises in these issues? I don't want to get any further into fertility treatment just to have more miscarriages in the future, obviously it's always a risk but if there are issues I could look into now I'd rather do that

The ovulation being dominant on the one ovary isn't a concern. I don't have pcos but I only seem to ovulate on the right side and infact with ivf treatment my mature eggs only come from the right side 9x out of 10 but this has not caused me any issues with natural pregnancies and ivf pregnancies.

As for the fibroid, this is definitely something to look into further and there have been a few woman who have had issues with implantation failure because of their fibroids. I would definitely get this investigated further just incase there are more you don't know of.

I have a fibroid but gynae and IVF clinic claim its not an issue

Always good to get a 2nd opinion but yea

Thank you both. I think I will get a second opinion, and discuss with a gynaecologist. The fibroid has grown significantly in the past year so I think it's probably best to have it looked into properly.
