IVF girlies - when did you stop taking your IVF medication after a successful pregnancy?

My clinic has told me to stop everything at 12 weeks but I'm curious what guidance other people had. I'm on Lubion, Crinone and Progynova.

Hi @BellaRosex i was asked to stop Oestrogen at 12 weeks and progesterone (Lubion and Progynova) at 16 weeks. Currently 23 weeks. Hope that helps! And congratulations 🥳 xx

Started to taper from estrogen from 10 weeks until 14 weeks when I stopped everything. That was after a medicated FET so I was reliant on meds until the placenta was established.

14 weeks, will continue aspirin untill 36 weeks

14 weeks for oestrogen suppositories and aspirin until 36 weeks, same as previous poster.

Oestrogen tablets at 12 weeks, progesterone pessaries at 16 weeks, aspirin at 37 weeks. Currently 29+5 after a medicated FET

Stopped estrogen , lubion and crinone at 9 weeks after medicated fet. Stopped aspirin at around 14 weeks. I thought it was early to stop but everything seems ok at 30 weeks.

I was told by my clinic to stop progesterone at 7 weeks but then I had a very heavy bleed at 11 weeks so I went back on it. Not sure when I will stop now.

It seems like the majority were told 14 weeks. I'm a bit nervous about going off cold turkey at 12 weeks. I was a fully medicated FET. Anyone else go off at 12 weeks and everything be ok?

Sorry @BellaRosex i was told to stop progesterone at 16 weeks which is maybe a little longer than others so don’t think I can help with your question. I stopped Progynova at ten weeks as instructed (I looked back and checked). Haven’t been on aspirin but will starting blood thinner injections from 28 weeks, currently 25. Can’t wait for more injections…not!

Yes fully medicated short protocol. Progynova tablets and Cyclogest pessaries twice a day (I know some people are three times) x

Oh and Lubion injections after I had a bleed until 16 weeks as well x

I had a FET and I was told to stop both oestrogen and progesterone cold turkey around 10 weeks. I was nervous so talked to the clinic and they said there is no harm in continuing if it made me feel less anxious and so I continued until 12 weeks and then tapered. All was fine with the pregnancy.

Hi @BellaRosex I recognise your name from a November 2024 thread about low progesterone and your clinic weren’t going to give you extra. Did you end up testing privately and if so what was your level? Is that the FET you’re pregnant with in this thread (if so, congrats 🌈 💕) or did you have success with an FET after the one you were preparing for in November 2024? Thanks for any response.

I was off Lubion, cyclogest and progesterone by 12 weeks. 2 week taper. Aspirin until 36 weeks

My friend was off everything by 8 weeks

Both of us had fully medicated frozen transfers

Hi @VioletHaze24 , I ended up insisting that my clinic give me extra progesterone and they did! I was given lubion injections which resulted in my 11 month old daughter who I'm currently trying to put to bed lol. I don't know if progesterone was the reason the transfer before failed but it certainly does no harm getting extra!

Thanks so much for responding @BellaRosex. That’s great to hear. Do you happen to remember what your progesterone level was by any chance? Before transfer or/and after transfer if the clinic actually checked it? Thanks and congratulations again on your baby girl.

So my clinic was a bit cr@p and never tested my progesterone at all, at no stage of the process! So I'll never know if it was truly low. All I know is that what they gave me seemed low for a fully medicated FET. I had friends doing a natural FET (with their own cycle) that were on more!

Thanks @BellaRosex So was it just 1 x 25mg Lubion injection and 2 x 400mg cyclogest pessaries a day and that’s it?
