Any other IVF long haulers out there?

I started IVF two years ago after 4 years TTC. 3 ECs and 6 transfers later were still TTC #1. I’m now 40. Watching all the threads progress and I’m so happy for every positive as it gives me hope, but filled with heartache when it inevitably fails.

I guess I’m looking for a tribe who understands how hard it is to pick yourself up after every fail and keep going when all the odds seem to be against you…. Anyone else out there going through / has been through this awful experience?

@LimeBird I am sorry you are feeling down. It doesn’t help to receive baby photos from your colleagues, it always feel like people close to us are falling pregnant or having babies at the same time as our bad news.

I also have a lot of unhelpful thoughts that we should have tried earlier. I think if we are not successful in the end it will be difficult to live with that regret.

What has helped me is to try to focus on all the great things that we can still do in our lives that don’t necessarily involve kids, such as buying a house, travelling, going on date nights, trying new restaurants…

I have also tried the counselling offered by my clinic but it hasn’t really helped.

Hey all. Can I join? 4 ivf cycles. 3 transfers and 2 early loses. I’m doing my 5th and final round next month but not feeling hopeful at all. Praying for our rainbow babies xx
