I told my boss (who is nice and I knew would be sympathetic) I took the scans as medical appointments and works the time back where I could but without killing myself. My boss has actually been in touch with HR to request that we write a fertility policy so that was a good outcome.

My job is fairly flexible though- it must be incredibly difficult if you are working shifts in a hospital or similar.

Unpaid
holiday

scans / in person appointments were minimal
ask for zoom or telephone appointments to help

during treatment sick as needed

This worried me as I’m quite private at work and didn’t want to share. However my clinic did all the stims monitoring scans and bloods first thing in the morning so I’d ask for the 7am appt and go on my way to work. For the EC I called in sick and I didn’t need to provide a drs note as it was just one day. I managed to get a 4pm appt for the transfer and I just said I had a Drs appt and needed to leave early.
