Ivf/ICSI top of list but have to change gp will this impact us being able to start

basically what it says in the title!! After waiting what feels a life time we finally have reached the top of the nhs list for ivf however the letter I got today stated our addresses are both different and they need to be up dated at our gps! However my new address with my partner is out of my gp catchment area so it’s likely I am now going to have to change gp practice however we still fall under the same trust! Does anyone know if this will now impact us being at the top of the list if I have to change my gps due to an address?? Feel so upset and constantly facing hurdles and feel we will no longer be at the top of the list.

Hi, I think you’ll be fine from the list point of view as your are in the same trust. Not sure whether you need to move gp or not though sorry. When you say you are ‘top of the list’ how do you know that?

I moved after my gp referral went in but it meant I had to move trusts as well, so my original trust hospital wrote to the new one to get me on their list. I was worried that I’d go to the back again as it was a different list (I had low ovarian reserve so time was a big issue). I therefore also wrote to the new hospital’s PALS team to ensure this didn’t happen. So you could do that if needed once you’ve made the address change. Details should be on the relevant hospital/clinics website.

@Zypig hi I have had to change gps so waiting till the registration is complete now in am hoping it will only take a couple of days and we are basically ready to go I spoke to the clinic it doesn’t affect the position thank fully or the clinic but it’s still caused me so much stress!! And we got a letter saying we are now at the top of the list. Hope you get sorted too x
