Therapie Fertility Clinic Dublin

Anyone have any experience of using Therapie Fertility clinic in Dublin? Looking into it at the moment, and would love to hear some experiences of it.

It will involve a couple of hours travel to and from for us, so really trying to weigh up if it's worth it.

It seems much cheaper than other clinics - is that a red flag?

I had 2 terrible rounds with them, I asked to change my medications if I was to do a 3rd I wanted lower meds because I had low amh, Dr. J laughed at me, I changed clinics who actually tailor your protocol instead of one size fits all, currently 15 weeks pregnant with fantastic results

Daniki · 07/03/2025 17:37

Hey we've used them, I'm currently 7+3 on my second FET. First FET was a success but miscarried at 8 weeks. Good egg retrieval we ended up with 6 top quality blasts. Defo the cheapest which drew us, but I was also seeing Dr Flood in the rotunda for recurrent miscarriage so had a lot of testing with her which you wouldn't get with Therapie. If you're a straight forward case defo, if not consider using them along side someone else for testing. I also found it handy to use the Dundalk satellite clinic as I could spin up and down myself and only had to go to Dublin for the retrieval & transfer

That is awful he laughed at you, how unprofessional. So do they do the same protocol of meds for every single person? I am so new to this I really don't know what would be normal/not normal.

I am so curious though as to why they are much cheaper than other places.

Congratulations! Also very sorry to hear of your miscarriage, I am sure that was tough being your first round.

You mentioned top quality, but I read somewhere Therapie don't do testing. Maybe this was wrong. It's something I have written down to ask about at my first consultation. Just trying to think of anything else that would be useful to ask.

You mention about straight forward cases, I am really unsure what I would be classed as to be honest. High AMH due to PCOS but no other obvious issues have come to light so far.

@IVFnewbie25 quality is in graded not PGT tested as they don't offer that. Have you had a consultation with them? They will look at your individual case and give you statistics on what they think will work. There is an Ireland IVF facebook private page that is extremely useful I would defo recommend joining! Honestly a wealth of information on there x

Daniki · 07/03/2025 21:31

@IVFnewbie25 sorry just reread your comment that you haven't had your consultation yet 🤪

Ah ok, that makes sense. Thanks for the recommendation, I will have a look this weekend.

First consultation is booked for a couple of weeks time. Considering scheduling an appointment with another clinic too to try and see the different approaches and try to decide which would be best for us.

@IVFnewbie25 definitely, don't limit yourself to one place and ask them what they think someone in your position will need

I sort of just assumed all clinics would be the same, but from reading reviews it is clear that isn't the case. Scared of making the wrong decision. But after a few consultations will hopefully feel easier making a decision.

@IVFnewbie25 yea they're all very different. Try googling the doctors that work in the clinics and see what their specialties are. Could be they specialise in PCOS.

I’m waiting to start a cycle with them (my second but 1st with them) and was hopeful of a fast turn around but looks like it will be next month when I can start :( Does anyone have any insight on the start of treatment - turn around of physical prescription etc? It seems like there is a delay in trying to contact the nursing team.

Daniki · 07/04/2025 15:06

@confused2025i found it quite fast, have you had you had your consultation and paid for the cycle? Once payment is done I find it’s usually up to 3 days to get all your instructions etc, where abouts are you in your cycle? With my recent cycle I was worried the same as hadn’t got my script or plan and was due my period the Monday and this was a Friday. Heard nothing until the Monday but typically my period didn’t come until the following Friday and they were waiting to hear from me so I could begin 🙈

confused2025 · 07/04/2025 15:09

Thanks @daniki.I paid on Wednesday evening and I got the perscription on portal on Friday but I’m not based in the ROI so need the physical copy for the pharmacist. My period is due on Tuesday 15th and should have been starting estrogen tomorrow. Was hoping to start this month

Daniki · 07/04/2025 16:28

@confused2025oh I see! Can you print the script off the portal and give it to your pharmacist maybe until you get the copy. Are you based in Northern Ireland or England?

confused2025 · 07/04/2025 16:30

I’m in NI and they won’t take it - I needed them to email the pharmacy and to also send out physical script. Have sent a message on the portal over the weekend and called this am but no response and before this they have been great with comms so very surprised

Daniki · 07/04/2025 17:50

@confused2025yea they generally are good, I’d say they will be back to you in the morning maybe a lot of catching up over the weekend. What about a GP? It may still work out fine starting a day later 🙏

confused2025 · 07/04/2025 18:17

@Danikithank you so much. They actually got back to me and I flew to the pharmacy. Actually need to start today so it’s all worked out. It’s amazing how this process makes you so on edge with everything.

Daniki · 07/04/2025 18:20

@confused2025oh thank god! Best of luck 🙏🙏🙌🏻

confused2025 · 07/04/2025 19:23

Thanks @danaiki.Sending you all the luck too ☺️

Clara202 · 07/04/2025 21:52

@IVFnewbie25 have you looked into your eligibility for the publicly funded fertility scheme with the HSE?

GamerGirl09 · 17/05/2025 16:32

I know this is an older post but just to say for anyone who ends up here - I’m based in the uk and went with Therapie Fertility as cheaper than the UK and I’m slightly over the NHS BMI limit. Booked first consult in December 2024, they said there’s a wait for the first nurse consult but that’s the only wait they have in the process. Had first nurse consult 4th Feb 2025. From there did some blood tests etc in the UK and booked the HyCoSi, semen analysis and doctors consult with them on 15th April (the wait was down to me not them). Explained we’re from the UK and wanted to start asap and they gave us a paper prescription to take away with us on the day. Dr Kennedy and all the nurses have been so friendly, welcoming and helpful (I’ve messaged on the portal numerous times and have thought they must be sick of me now but they’re always so friendly and helpful 🤣). Managed to source the meds in time to start meds on 29th April (a week before my period). Started stims on 9th May and had scan yest - all progressing as they hope. Another scan on Monday then will be having egg collection 21-23rd May.

Honestly, had a really good experience with them so far ☺️ Anyone in the UK who goes with Therapie - for info I’m on Menopur and my whole prescription was £1630, cheapest with Stork fyi.

Hi I used them and had one round of IVF last year and had one egg retrieval and one frozen transfer and became pregnant.
I would highly recommend.
Today I have an amazing little girl.

confused2025 · 08/12/2025 18:23

@Lulu151282agree. My first cycle/transfer worked out and I couldn’t ask for more. They’ve been amazing 🤩
