12dp5dt, v. faint line on urine test after positive blood test

I've name changed for this.

So as you can tell from the title I'm 12 days past transfer (FET). I had a positive blood test on Thursday and today I took a pregnancy test because I also like to see the positive for myself. It came back positive but the line is so, so faint - I feel like it should be a lot darker by now. I should add that I realised I didn't have anything in the bathroom to wee into so I did it's directly on the stick, even though it's a dip one (hence the username!). So what do you think user error, faulty test or should I prepare for another miscarriage? I've had 3 prior miscarriages at 17 weeks, 10 weeks (missed miscarriage) and 6 weeks but with all 3 the pregnancy test was much darker at this point. Today's is barely there at all. Could it be because I got wee above the max. line?

What were the results of your blood test (the exact number)? And what is the sensitivity of this test?

It could be user error - either as you said, or because you didn't actually get much urine on the right part.

I feel like how likely that is (Versus impending loss) depends on what your results were the day before. If they were very low for 11dp5dt I would imagine your hcg is dropping and it is a sign of loss. Conversely, if they were pretty high, it's more likely to be user error. That is because hcg usually doesn't drop so fast that it would go from a strong positive to a faint line in one day.

Sorry, I should have said: 130.
Just read the test packet: 10 mIU/mL

No worries at all.

Hmmm, that's quite a tricky number - it is on the lower side for 11dp5dt, which could indicate at a higher chance of loss (the study below puts your chance of loss at 46% although you are at the very top of that category, so probably closer to 34%).

However, it is a long way from 10 - I really doubt something could drop from 130 to faint on a test with a sensitivity of 10 in one day, which does imply user error.

Are you getting another blood test? I really hope it works out, you deserve it so much after all that loss.

Next blood test is on Monday.

We're actually currently trying for our second. My 3 year old was the result of my 8th embryo transfer (first 5 failed completely, then 2 miscarriages - my first miscarriage was an IUI pregnancy) so I have managed one successful pregnancy. Honestly I wasn't expecting this transfer to work at all so I feel like I should be grateful I even got as far as a positive pregnancy test!

An update. I took another test this morning (properly this time!) and the line still seems faint to me but is more definitely there. I then poured my wee on a supermarket test (doesn't say the sensitivity, just can be used 3-5 days after a missed period) and that looks darker. I guess I'll find out after my blood test tomorrow.
