Hi ladies,

Starting early with this thread in hope some are on a similar time frame!

36yo, been trying to conceive for 2yrs. Severe MFI as well as AFC of 3 and AMH of 1.9pmol/l

First IVF cycle with ICSI ended with a total failed fertilisation - 4 eggs collected, all mature but no fertilisation.

We have now switched to long cycle and added in DHEA, COQ10, melatonin, vitamin D, omega 3 alongside our fertility vitamins.

I should start my period end of Jan; and then start down-regulating February with transfer hopefully late February if I’ve worked it out right!

Anyone else on this mental torture of a ride?

Had a scan today and have 3 folicals over 17mm (didn't get told the actual measurements), 1 at 15mm and 1 at 13mm. I am triggering tonight for collection on Wednesday. She said the 15mm might catch up by then but was doubtful that the 13mm one would be big enough to have an egg. So it's looking like 3/4 eggs. I'm a little disappointed because at my scan back in December before starting the ivf the counted 19 folicals so not many have responded to the meds 😕.

@Raegs amazing numbers, I can’t believe from 3 fertilised eggs you got 3 embryos. That’s so unusual! You’re right it’s definitely the quality that counts.

@LuckyFlash I had a faint positive at 6dp5dt and a stronger positive at 8dpt but it was twins so the hormones might have been higher. I said I wouldn’t test until otd but then by 6 days I had such strong pregnancy symptoms that I did. I didn’t test out the trigger though. So you might be ok to test Friday but it’s still early so a negative might not be conclusive.

@Allnew2021 I only had 3 big follicles too and I was so disappointed as my baseline had also shown loads more. But they retrieved 4 eggs, 3 of them fertilised and 2 are top grade embryos at day 3 so stay hopeful!

@captainsmal riighhttt 😂 Any sign of AF yet?Hardest thing to do is not think about it but stress can delay if too x

@RainbowFluff hope your EC goes well & the follicles collected fertilise & get to blastos!🤞🏼Hope you're feeling better after suffering with a migraine etc x this journey does it take it out of you in so many ways x

@Nads2210 its not here yet but the cramps are insaaaane! So it must be on its way I hope! I hate the waiting part of all of this lol, even though I felt crap on those tablets last two weeks at least I was doing something 😂

@Nads2210 its definitely all going so quickly and I’m sure I’ll probably just start getting used to injecting myself and then it’ll be time to stop 😅 it’s actually scary to think if all goes to plan this time next month I might be testing? 😱

Its so bizarre because there's parts where you'l be like huh where did time go & plenty of times where the wait feels like foreverrr!Oh yes deffinatly the case with the meds soon as you get the "hang" of them it's time to stop lol eekk it's all so exciting isn't it!I've never had a fresh transfer (risk of ohss) so do you have EC then in the same cycle ET?as in you wont wait for a bleed (sorry might be a silly question) it was 4+ years ago when i started but it was FET so dont remember xx

@Nads2210 yeah so all being well as long as a) don’t get risk of ohss, b) actually get some embryos and c) blood test on day of EC shows good progesterone levels, I’ll have transfer 5 days after EC which atm is booked for the 17th but will probably change depending how follicles respond etc 🤞🏻

@ivfjourneyandme me neither, so frustrating isn’t it! Especially when it’s meant to have come because of the meds 😭

Just an update: I joined the February thread, but might as well stay for April too.
I had the embryos frozen 2 weeks ago, last Monday we paid for next medicines for FET, and we signed the form. Today! they messaged that they booked in 20 March for nurse planning. By then I'll be through my second period since egg collection, we have to wait two months before FET possible...
It would be a tiny bit better if they'd mention any of this after the egg collection or any time really.

@ivfjourneyandme that’s so annoying for you, I hope AF comes soon! Are you having any symptoms that she’s on her way? My clinic told me they would still do the scan even if I’d not had a period yet.

@captainsmal fingers crossed your cramp comes to fruition soon!

@RitaDsZ there’s so much waiting about and delays in this process, isn’t there?! It’s so frustrating at times.

I'm on day 7 of stims and not getting any symptoms, was told I’d maybe bloat or have heavy feeling pelvis etc. but I’m not feeling a thing, now I’m wondering if the meds are even working for me 😫

@KayEmmSquared hopefully the follicles are growing just fine! When is your next scan?

@RitaDsZ I feel for you, that's super annoying!

Unexpectedly, I'm actually finding myself in a very similar position: even though my clinic is very clear that you have to have 2 bleeds between EC and FET, there still is an unexpected delay which surprised me when I found out about it after EC.

What they definitely didn't make clear is that a side effect of Prostap in my protocol is that this second bleed may be 8 to 12 weeks late in coming 😱

I haven't even had the withdrawal bleed post EC and fresh ET; I think it's coming but I'm already impatient for it. Just want to move on I suppose, both mentally and in actual steps taken.
To think that my next "real" period I need to move to next stages may only arrive after 10 weeks is horrible. I'm reading through clinic FB forum looking for reassurance, there isn't much 🙈

If we're going through another cycle I'll definitely ask for Prostap to be replaced with something else!

@BeSharpPinkDreamer thank you, that's really good to hear. I'm glad you got such a positive result in the end. I'll keep my fingers crossed that any eggs they retrieve are a good quality then.

For anyone who has had a recent BFP after transfer, what day did you get your positive on? My transfer was Sunday but I’ve been testing to get a sense of the trigger line even before transfer, the trigger has finally disappeared today so that’s one thing at least. Thank you xx

also has anyone else had a transfer in the last few days or has got one coming up? This 2WW is going to be longggg, OTD 6/3.

Sod’s Law. Scan tomorrow cancelled as no period. Guess who’s favourite Aunt Flo has turned up this evening 🤦🏼‍♀️ I’ve messaged clinic to see if they can get me in asap.

@Quaver9 no personal experience as never made it past day 1 EC but my friend who has just got her BFP (2nd try), tested 7dp5pt and had her BFP. Her clinic tells them to test very early it seems

@ivfjourneyandme oh no, talk about bad timing! Perhaps they haven't given your appointment to anybody else yet, will you call them tomorrow to see if you could still show up?

@Quaver9 I've tested my trigger out just last week, it never faded completely but line got darker on 5DP5DT, which is what I recognised as a BFP (sadly didn't stick for long though).
Of course I also googled it obsessively, seems most people see it between 4 and 8 days post transfer. Lots of patience for you, hope you see the 2 lines!

@Happibara @ivfjourneyandme thank you both, and @Happibara is so so sorry it wasn’t a sticky one this time round, sending you a big hug it’s just a heartbreaking journey all of this.
I’ve had 3 losses in last 18m, two ectopics and a missed miscarriage at 8w.
With the MC pregnancy I had a BFP at 7/8 days after ovulation but the others were a little later given the fact the hcg couldn’t rise properly so I was just wondering if it’s slightly earlier or later with transfer XX

@ivfjourneyandme I always think AF has a sense of humour, so frustrating, how does she know how to disappear when we want her and then come back at just the most annoying moment!

@Happibara I had disappearing AF with buserelin and also hated the side effects so I’ve gone back to ovitrelle this time. The clinic didn’t seem to think it would make any difference and buserelin made my next bleed come 2 weeks late, plus I didn’t feel like I ovulated that cycle.

@KayEmmSquared I didn’t have much bloating with my December round and still got 7 eggs collected, they said to me that it’s just different each time so hopefully yours will be fine.

Myself: it's been a tough week to say the least & confusing!(FET cycle)

4dp5dt PM the faintest BFP
5dp5dt AM & PM faintest BFP
6dp5DT AM & PM clearer to see but still faint
7dp5dt AM & PM still faint
So all these tests were done on the one step strips (terrible)
Decided to do a Clearblue digital & seen the word pregnant 1-2 weeks!😢🥰
My heart wants to celebrate but my head wont allow it because the line is still faint even on a clearblue early test!
Husband thinks im going mad focusing on the line but i cant help it, I will get a First Response for OTD
Symptoms:
Bloating, Burping alot, Breasts feel full/enlarged, Frequent urination (i feel these are good signs)

Sorry been a bit awol, really struggled badly with mental health with the norethisterone as I mentioned before, but was expecting it to improve when I stopped but actually had a bad withdrawal crash and was much worse for a few days!!
Had horrible cramps for 5-6 days and AF finally made an appearance at 3am today with even worse cramps that woke me up! I’m just glad it’s here and I can now proceed with the stims and my original schedule and I don’t have to mess work around too much but yeah, definitely a much worse period than I would normally get 😬
