Any peeps having IVF/ICSI/FET in Dec.
I am due to start meds 1st Dec this will be my frozen transfer from my 2nd cycle in August have stocked up on beetroot and pomegranate juice, looking for any tips 🙏🏼

I'm try and find someone that does it private too. Did you get your results pretty quickly? And what days did you test and check. I'm not even sure what the levels should be for it to be deemed okay. Thank you for replying x

@charja100 mine in the UK didn't check it for fresh or my frozen I've been overseas this time they didn't essentially check mine but they put you on a high protocol of progesterone (injections and pessaries)
I'm in total agreement that the UK don't monitor enough or prescribe enough meds for the first few rounds l, I lost mine last year at 4/5 weeks I believe it was due to progesterone but they never admitted it just basically said it's another £9k for a new round and we may try something different no mention of progesterone, as soon as I went overseas I was put on progesterone so sad that they are willing to 'play' like this in the UK

@camelinastorm @charja100 thank you that’s really helpful. My OTD is 15 Jan. I will push for answers re how they know whether my progesterone is ok now. I find it odd that they’ve casually offered 3 options to increase levels without any guidance re the effect on levels becuase I don’t believe they can have an identical effect. I am also annoyed because they tested the day of transfer not the day before so feels like it’s been a wasted day without enough meds. Hey ho, obvs not fun being in TWW so my mind is going to run

I see, thank you! It’s a shame you had to learn the hard way - you would hope that for the money these clinics get paid they would be more thorough with these things.

In other news, just had the results for my first blood test which was at 4+5 weeks. It showed HcG of 1571 iu/l. I know the standalone value doesn’t mean much so now just waiting for the results of the second one I had on Friday… then scan on the 14th finally.

So I caved but only caved by 99p 😂 bought a test to just check if I still have a line and it came up before the test had even finished processing 😂 this is it compared to my first cheepies last week, I can finally see progression, was going to get the boots ones again but for 99p thought I'd go this route 😬

@Sherr33 they normally come back within 24 hours. I got my last private bloods on the same day.

@camelinastorm it's so bad really with the amount of money we pay for treatment. A few extra blood tests could make such a difference to many people. I'm sorry that the same thing happened to you too.

That's great news @AMMxx congratulations. Seems to be a value around where it needs to be. Do I recall correctly that we had transfer on the same day (18/12)? I'm so confused with where I am supposed to be in terms of weeks. An app I have says I am tracking 4w4.. but I can't work out how that right.

@camelinastorm well that's a definite positive! What's next for you now? Will you get any private bloods or scans? Where is your clinic (what country? I know you said you travelled)

@charja100 I have no idea I'm looking to book a scan at a local place, hopefully have bloods done at the GP I'm hoping they push stuff but doubt they will, feel more reassured that I have a positive test so dark today I feel so much more at ease

@charja100 my transfer was on 17/12 and on 30/12 my clinic said I was 4+4 so I calculate it from that. I have no idea how they got to that though, I think it is calculated from when you were meant to have your last ovulation… I would double check with your clinic but you must be about the same given we at our transfers a day apart.

@camelinastorm my transfer was the 18th and my Premom app says I’m 5+3 today . Approx due date would be Sept 5th

Need some sort of hand hold I guess. I started my prednisolone 5mg tablet today. Will increase to 10mg in 4days and then continue on this dose till positive test (fingers crossed) I'm scared of being on them. My tummy was itching me today and I googled side effects and it's terrified me all over again. 😭 on another note I have my scan on Wednesday to check my lining. And then will get a transfer date (hopefully). Thus journey has tired me out physically and mentally and makes me so upset especially with issu3s it bring in my relationship. I hope everyone 3lse is doing well x

Hi all just wondering if anyone has managed to buy progesterone injections, I have them but unfortunately my hubby has been deployed and stupidly taken the case that had some of my meds in the front pouch and it's these I literally need to somehow get some boxes of them and have no idea how 😭

Is it the lubion injections? Is there no way of getting a private prescription from your g.p or an online Dr? X

@Sherr33 well mine are progestan Dex but the same as lubion, my GP isn't very forth coming with assistance for private treatment

Hi everyone, how are we all today?

So I got my results from my bloods taken yesterday this morning. My HCG came back at 2699 yesterday at 19dp5dt. Clinic is happy it's doubling (was 567 on 15dp5dt) so now I have to wait until 23rd Jan for my scan. It's seems forever away I think I'll be about 8 weeks by the time they take it.

I asked them today about weeks calculations etc as I was all in a muddle as my apps was saying something different. They confirmed I'm 5w4 today.

@camelinastorm I'm so sorry my dr has been no help either. I would contCg both your clinic abroad - can they not issue you another prescription? And also local dr and say you need prescription. Can you make a private apt worse case scenario of you need to?

@charja100 that’s brilliant news!! Its definitely kept you on your toes but sounds like everything is looking positive.
How come they are making you wait until the 23rd? Mine is on the 14th which puts me at 6w+5 so I would have thought they could scan you earlier.

I got my blood test results back - increase from 1571 to 2912 in 2.5 days which apparently is good and my clinic have no concerns.

The waiting is the worst part… I’m trying to keep busy with work, running and gym but at the same time trying not to overdo it !

Your bloods are good. Especially for when you had them taken as I got 567 at 4+6 and only got the 2699 yesterday at 5+3.

I had to get my clinic to tell me when I am. The nurse told me today I am 5+4. My apps all had different dates and hadn't calculated it properly. I feel more confident that this number is right. We had transfer on the same day didn't you? Was it a 5 day blast too?

I am 5DP5DT and have no symptoms so feeling pretty pessimistic and fed up of being on the meds. Will try to hold off testing for a couple of days but tbc!

@charja100 yours was 18/12 wasn’t it? Mine was 17/12. It was a 5day blast too. I’m 5+6 today according to my clinic which aligns with yours so there must be a method to how they calculate it! my Flo app was wrong but I’ve now set it so it aligns with what the clinic told me.

@Whysitsohard91 the TWW is so hard isn’t it. I wouldn’t stress too much about the lack of symptoms - they do say some people have them and some don’t (which isn’t really helpful when you’re just looking for some sort of sign!). Also you’re still very early, it’s sensible to hold off testing as it won’t necessarily be accurate. I was too impatient and started at 4dpt 🤦‍♀️

... and just like that as I had dared to relax and think maybe it might just be my time. A gush of bright red blood when I went to the toilet. Starting to cramp now too. Looking like it's yet another chemical for me.

Called the clinic and they've told me to go in for bloods again tomorrow.
