@camelinastorm could you pay private?

camelinastorm · 29/12/2024 08:52

@ivfjourneyandme I'm going to look for local ones tomorrow as you say just to ease the stress x

@camelinastorm In case helpful, I know e.g. UltraSound Direct do them and they have clinics pretty much everywhere in the country. It's about £60 for the test.

I have my OTD tomorrow and my tests show a strong positive which I'm still finding hard to believe but starting to feel cautiously optimistic. Will be asking for blood tests ahead of the first scan just to get some peace of mind (in case they don't offer it without having to ask).

Fingers crossed for everyone on this thread that yours stick! X

Had to get different brands as we are away but cautiously optimistic, let's see what the next few days bring! xx

Ah brill, glad they are sorting you out. Everything crossed for you xx

charja100 · 30/12/2024 11:56

@Laura2301 congrats on your BFPs looking really great!

@camelinastorm great news re GP and booking in scan and bloods. Have they agreed to do an early scan?

I'm in limbo and not too sure why to think. Tests not getting lighter but not getting much darker either. Had some brownish spotting this morning. Will stop doing pessaries up front and see if that changes anything. I have this weird strict h like feeling on my left. Desperately trying not to jump to convulsions and assume ectopic but wondering if that mike explain everything... OTD at 13dp5dt tomorrow. Wondering if I should call the clinic today and tell them about spotting or if it's going to even make any difference?

Can you post a photo of your tests? x

They are definitely getting a little darker which is good and your boots looks exactly like mine. It's so hard isn't it, I'm petrified what the next few days have in store for me x

camelinastorm · 30/12/2024 12:50

Your boots look like mine, I've had no real progression I'm seriously doubting people really get these really dark tests 😂😂

@charja100 so I have to register with the midwife service they will then book a blood and scan asap due to my age so probably will be after new year now, but have decided no more tests as no progression but the line is exactly the same on them all

Do you mind me asking how old you are? I'm wondering if I ca ask for something like that because of my age. I'll be 40 in February.

camelinastorm · 30/12/2024 15:10

@charja100 sure no problem I'm 41 so will I'm guessing be classed high risk

Ours is strange or it's just new my other child is 9 so it's been a while 😂 it's like an online portal they then allocate like a midwife or a team not quite sure waiting for them to contact me

Got my scan booked for 14th January. They don't do blood tests so I have booked some for tomorrow and Sunday (the only other day they could do), cost £99 in total which I didn't think was too bad. Some places were close to £200. I'm not sure if the blood test will actually be of much use given the scan is so soon but I thought I may as well do it.

This was today's test at 13dp5dt and there's been very little change since 10dpt. I think I'll stop the daily testing now and just wait for the bloods and scan. Still terrified it will all go wrong !

Definitely!

Also I keep thinking should I feel something? As in should I "feel pregnant" if that makes sense?! Because I don't - I just feel normal albeit very healthy and energetic (most likely due to cutting alcohol and being off work for 2 weeks!). Not having been pregnant before there's nothing to compare it to...

charja100 · 31/12/2024 09:44

Morning everyone.

So 13dp5dt and OTD for me today. Surprisingly I still have a line and it does look like it is still progressing. Two strips are from this morning. Boots was from last night all pics taken before 5 min timer. What do you all think?

I'm not getting lines anywhere near as dark as some others on here.. which does cause me some worry. But I guess I'm not out yet. I had some spotting yesterday and have this on off pain in my left so I'm cautious. On my way for private blood test.

I can definitely see clear progression from your earlier tests. If you google line progression there's quite a few examples where their lines are similar to yours around the same stage so I wouldn't think it's anything to worry about.
Can you ask your clinic for their thoughts? I don't know if you're private or NHS but if private, they should make the time to have a look and have a chat with you.

Good luck with the blood test!

It’s definitely getting darker ❤️
Remember you should really only be comparing them 48 hours apart (which I know is almost impossible to do) but if you do, you should see good progression. Also I think peoples hcg ranges really vary quite a bit so I wouldn’t necessarily be comparing it to others as long as it’s getting progressively darker ☺️

Sherr33 · 31/12/2024 17:43

Hi all. I am going to be having my 2nd FET (2 failed transfers) in January and was wondering if anyone knows when it comes to progesterone pessaries can we alternate between doing them vaginally l/rectally? Also what way are most of you doing it? X

SamVan · 31/12/2024 18:50

@Sherr33 either way is fine! I do rectally only though because it’s cleaner.
