IVF/ICSI - TFP Wessex Southampton or, Complete Fertility Southampton

I am a relatively healthy 30-year-old, and my GP is within NHS West Hampshire CCG, which means I am entitled to one cycle of fresh IVF with the transfer of one fresh embryo before I turn 35. My husband and I are currently choosing a fertility unit for ICSI. After touring both, we’re having trouble deciding between TFP Wessex Southampton and Complete Fertility Southampton. We hope to be successful with our first cycle under the NHS, though we understand the success rate is below 50% - so we will not get our hopes up. Which clinic would you recommend and why? My husband has a low sperm count, and I have a slightly higher risk of miscarriage, though my period frequency and ovulation are normal.

Sorry OP I'm with abc in Southampton so can't comment on these, but if you don't get an answer, try the IVF Support UK Facebook group as I've seen people asking about these clinics on there x

And wishing you the best of luck with your cycle! 💖

Thank you so much! Is abc completely private, or was this an option through the NHS for you? I hope your experience with abc goes well 🙏🏽

We've gone private, but I think they're a fairly new clinic so that might be why they're not offered as a choice on the NHS yet but that's just a guess x

Mm true! I have looked at their website and since requested for a tour of their premises - so thank you! x

Hi, it was mixed to be honest. The lady who works at the Southampton clinic is lovely and very supportive. However, I found the support from the central patient support team not great. We had a "suboptimal" failed round and we are now in the middle of our second round with Care in Woking, my egg collection is on Monday and so far having a much better experience with Care, hopefully with better results.
