Hi,

My partner has results of low all sperm.
We already have a son and are so grateful, but have been TTC no.2 since aug 2022 and have now have DH results back.
Would look to go private for further tests/ possible IVF options.
Can any one give best recommendation for clinics around Leeds/ Manchester.
Thanks

You can search through clinic ratings here: https://www.hfea.gov.uk/choose-a-clinic/

We are with Care Fertility Leeds and they’ve been good, and Care in Sheffield is also really good but I’d recommend doing your own search and visiting a few/joining their webinars etc. Everyone will have different experiences - my friends didn’t have the best one at Leeds Care, but ours was good and worked first time (but the clinic likely had no massive impact on the result, it’s down to the eggs and sperm health really).
Definitely do your own research before committing to one. There’s not loads in the area to be honest.

A great fertility clinic isn’t just one that can give you effective treatment. Find out about how to choose a clinic, and what to do if something goes wrong.

We are with Manchester Fertility but I'm not sure I'd recommend them.

Found I was having to chase the patient co-ordinators a lot when we first signed up with them. Nurses are lovely. Doctors/embryologists don't seem to have a lot of time during conversations, I always feel like I'm being a pain for asking questions.

That said, we have had a better outcome in terms of number/quality of embryos vs our first round on the NHS.

Good luck!

@HopefulllHolly @IWouldRatherBeOnHoliday
Thank you both for your responses.
Yes I will do my own research and look on the website you sent.

We're with Hewitt Fertility Partnership at the min and really liking them so far. They have satellite locations in Wigan and Knutsford, and then egg collections and embryos are all dealt with by their Liverpool Women's hospital site I think (maybe you can have connections and transfers at Knutsford too).

Prices are reasonable, no long wait times and they include as standard things like embryo glue etc.

I'm currently in the TWW with my first embryo transfer with them.

@lemonyfox I know this is an older post but please can I ask how you got on with Hewitt Fertility? 🙂

lemonyfox · 04/02/2025 11:16

@waitingforourmiracle hey! I'm 35 weeks pregnant with our first transfer, which I know is very lucky, but Hewitt were great!
