What brand of supplements to take for ivf prep?

Hello!

Husband and I are getting ready for our first round of ivf in September. We have both been taking Proceive for a year and have both just started taking COQ10. I have also started taking Zita West Inisitol and Folate powder after a friend who was successful in ivf recommended it. I’m about to finish a box of Proceive and wondering whether to get some more or switch to a different brand of pre-natal vitamin. I’m just wondering whether there is a more “natural” option or perhaps it doesn’t matter? I’d like my husband to continue taking supplements as well. Happy to pay decent amount as Proceive is about £30 a pop anyway….oh to be in the infertility industry!! Anyway, any/all help gratefully received 😊

Hiya - I use Wild Nutrition fertility support supplement which is all natural. Not sure if it contributed to my result but I just got a positive after my first cycle 🥹

I take ovum then all my other supps are all different brands

well worth using free appointment with clinic nutritionist

I used ovum and my husband used proxceed men.

I invested in the Zita West IVF pack, which is the same as the egg support pack, and it’s hard going! I think it’s 7 pills per day plus a powder you mix with a drink. I got more eggs this round vs last but fewer fertilised so haven’t seen a benefit yet.

I’m going to switch to Wild Nutrition too & save some money and effort

Thanks @HopefulllHolly and congrats on your positive. I have heard good things about Wild Nutrition and they do supplements for men too so might give it a go x

Thank you a friend took ovum and recommended them. Would this be with a private clinic? Sorry I’m completely new to all this and going private as not eligible for nhs x

Thanks I’ve not heard of proxceed. Did it make a difference do you know?

I saw the Zita West pack and I felt weary just looking at it. I’ve also got the inisotol powder already so I think I’ll just go for a pre-conception vitamin with coq10 as well and I should be covered….hopefully!

Well I am just coming up 39 weeks pregnant with our first round of ivf. It’s impossible to say what made the difference as it’s all contributing factors but I would be repeating the same supplements again if we were ever to go for another round for another child.

I've been using Inessa Pregnancy Multinutrient this time around after reading some positive reviews and liking how comprehensive the ingredient list was! Bit more expensive than your Pregnacare but no complaints so far! I like the addition of ginger - have literally experienced zero nausea so far (I'm currently 6+3 weeks) which I'm choosing to attribute to that but who knows, I'm sure that could all change at any moment though lol 😊
