Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, have had 3 egg collections with Create (2x natural modified and 1 x mild) and am about to go through my first FET following embryo banking and after having a Hysteroscopy and discovering I have thyroid antibodies...joys of fertility challenges.

Tagging as follows from previous chat, please tag any others I may have forgot.

Thank you @Sunflower360 it was so great to follow your story through the three parts of this post and congratulations!

I think my gut is saying 3 mild cycles - and you have really reassured me.

Plantymcplant · 07/01/2025 14:26

@1forward2back I did one cycle of mild at create. 8 eggs, 6 fertilised and 2 embryos. One baby boy!

muddlingthrou · 07/01/2025 17:34

@1forward2back - I did 3x cycles of mild IVF egg collections at Create Wimbledon. I got a total of 12 mature eggs overall, 7 embryos and two little girls ☺️

Sunflower360 · 19/01/2025 10:07

@jolly86 congratulations! Did all go ok with your birth plan?

I'm due this month, so hopefully will know what we're having soon!

Hi all, I hope you wouldn’t mind me joining. Thanks to @Sunflower360 for sharing this thread, much appreciate it. I am 41 years old and had a few failed ivf cycles. I fell pregnant following my 3rd cycle but miscarried soon after. These were all conventional ivf cycles. I am now considering natural modified cycle at Create Wimbledon. Is anyone getting treated here please? Thanks!

1forward2back · 03/01/2025 19:25

Sorry - that posted early!
i am hoping some of you will be able to reassure me that it is possible to retrieve a reasonable number of eggs with this mild ivf?
the consultant said up to 10 per cycle? Is this even possible?
when I search for mini/mild ivf online, most people get 2-5.

It might be late for your decision but on my first mild round with Create I got 13 eggs, so more than 10 is definitely possible :)

GingerRCD · 07/02/2025 14:39

Hi all,
I'm not sure if it's too late to join this thread!

I turned 40 in January. I'm experiencing secondary infertility and it's been a rough journey. I lost a baby in 2022 through TFMR due to Patau's. I found out just over a year ago that my AMH is very, very low at 0.4. And, have been through some low lows with that news after the trauma of our 2022 loss.

We're on a 6 cycle plan with Create St Paul's, and I just had my 4th egg collection yesterday. I had 3 follicles, two contained mature eggs, and we currently have 2 embryos in the running. My next update will be this Sunday. We've got a day 3 embryo on ice, too. The ivf journey has been hard...we started in March 2024, but have experienced significant delays and cancellations due, primarily, to cysts and sometimes my estrogen not being high enough. I'd lost hope in autumn last year, as I felt everything was telling me my body had shut down, but one embryo banked before Christmas and the positive results of this cycle so far, have given me hope again.

I've not been able to get up to date with all of your stories as the thread is so long, but I'd love to join the chat and have yhe support. X

@GingerRCD Hi 👋 There are a mix of different experiences on this thread, but mine has thankfully led to the birth of our DD recently. This was after 3 ECs with Create with an AMH of around 4pmol (will be lower now I would imagine as that was 2023). Over those ECs got 14 eggs and 8 embryos frozen. 3 FETs later and 4 embryos transferred (last one was a double transfer) and we got our DD. I was 38 during ECs and FETs. We have 4 embryos still frozen, albeit lower grades, which will be revisited for a sibling, they were not tested so not sure if any are chromosomally normally, but we'll put them in and see what happens when it comes to it-if it doesnt work then that is that and we'll be more than happy to close that chapter in our lives.

It was a long road but I would say keep strong and hopefully you will get the news you're after soon. Good luck!

@Sunflower360 congratulations on your new arrival!

@GingerRCD I'm so sorry for your loss with Patau's, sending love ❤️

My story is probably the most bizarre here because I haven't had any IVF with create at all!

I had a standard NHS cycle with Care (I think @Sunflower360 did too prior to her create cycles). My cycle didn't go 'well' as they only got two eggs but those eggs seemed to be good quality as both fertilised and against all odds we did have something to transfer. Unfortunately it didn't stick.

I found this thread so helpful (and the previous two) whilst I was going through that and we were considering alternative options for private IVF and had heard of CREATE. In the end we decided to go with CARE again because they basically said we could just go again and they did change the protocol a little bit and we didn't want to do all the testing again.

Everything was paid for in October and we were hoping to fit another cycle in before Christmas. First cycle was in July and my periods suddenly got loads more regular after so I was convinced this would be possible. Unfortunately my period didn't come before their December cut-off and then on day 39 of my cycle I decided to test even though cycles that long weren't that unusual for me and IT WAS POSITIVE! I genuinely wasn't expecting it to be. Cue massive anxiety on both our parts that it would all go wrong and multiple GP trips.

I'm now 15 weeks. We're still a bit anxious but much better. I think the point of my very long rambling post is that do the cycles with create and if you have embryos you have hope! But don't forget you could fall naturally. We'd been trying for 5 years and as far as I know never been pregnant, I'd told myself it would only happen with IVF because it was easier. It seems a bit too much of a coincidence that having started trying at 33 I fall naturally at 37 a few months after IVF? So for me IVF probably treated my infertility but I didn't get pregnant from IVF directly.

I'm 38 in a couple of weeks, my AMH was 5 this time last year (not sure what units or what units yours is but if yours is in the ones that are more popular in America ours are actually the same 🙃).

I hope you don't find my post insensitive I just wanted you to know that there's always hope!

HopefulElle · 08/02/2025 15:44

Congratulations @Sunflower360 & @JenRi!
@GingerRCD I was 34 and had no children when I was also told my AMH was 0.4, so I know how hard that is to hear unfortunately.
We went ahead with a 3 cycle package at Create and very similarly, had lots of cancelled cycles due to cysts and hormone levels. We only ended up with one frozen day 3 embryo after the 3 cycles, and I had no hope whatsoever, but miraculously that day 3 embryo is now my 10 week old son ❤️
Best of luck for tomorrow’s update x

GingerRCD · 08/02/2025 22:21

@Sunflower360 Congratulations on the birth of your little girl! How wonderful. I hope you're all settling in nicely to family life. That's great that you have 4 on ice, too, as you know there's a chance at having a sibling.

@JenRi Wow, what an incredible surprise after such a long wait. Congratulations, you must have felt a while host of emotions when you saw that positive result. I'm so happy for you. I hope you're feeling well and that all the scans etc are ticking along nicely. It won't be long now, and you can have heartbeat checks with your midwife, which are so reassuring. I was anxious in my pregnancy with my son because I'd lost my first baby (MM) and the midwife did fortnightly heartbeat checks for me from 16 weeks. That helped me so much. We also had a private scan st 15 weeks to bridge the gap until the 20 week scan.

@HopefulElle Congratulations, how wonderful! I hope you're settling into family life and enjoying the baby bubble. Your story honestly gave me goosebumps. My AMH and all the cancellations etc. made me feel like a lost cause, but stories like yours prove it really does just take one good one. What an absolute little miracle you have!

GingerRCD · 08/02/2025 22:23

Thanks so much for replying and the best wishes for tomorrow. It all helps ❤️ I'll let you know how I get on. Going to attempt to sleep now... x

Thanks @Sunflower360 ❤️

I think I'm still in shock and disbelief, but we got the call this morning to say that we have two top quality embryos!!! I'm stunned. This ivf journey is one hell of a roller coaster!

We've elected to freeze them both. So, that's 3 in the freezer for now, and two cycles to go xx

GingerRCD · 09/02/2025 11:12

Needless to say, we're over the moon!!!

JenRi · 09/02/2025 14:12

@GingerRCD congratulations that's such good news! And you have two cycles more to go so am sure you will get more! X

RainbowFluff · 09/02/2025 14:20

It’s so heartening seeing everyone’s stories, I’m on a 3 cycle with Create and already had 1 NHS cycle with them, and had the first of the 3 cycles in December. All looked fine on day 3 with 4 fertilised out of 5, but ended up with no embryos. Hoping for a better outcome next cycle.

GingerRCD · 09/02/2025 20:08

@JenRi Thank you so much. I can hardly believe it! I'm trying to focus on this huge win and not worry about the odds of the next stage, but it's so hard isn't it! X

GingerRCD · 09/02/2025 20:26

@RainbowFluff I'm so sorry to hear that about your last cycle. I know that must have been crushing. Wishing you all the best for your next cycle. When is that likely to start? Have you asked them about freezing on day 3? X

On my NHS cycle in the summer I had 4/4 fertilised and 3 make it to day 5, one too small to freeze, one frozen and a fresh transfer. So at the moment they’re treating the recent cycle as an anomaly. I hope they’re right! My fresh transfer resulted in anembryonic pregnancy so the plan for these three was genetic testing, I’m not sure if you can do that on day 3? I can definitely ask.

Sunflower360 · 10/02/2025 12:33

@GingerRCD that's good news!
