Hi 👋

A thread for anyone who wants to discuss their Create Fertility experiences.

I'm 38, have had 3 egg collections with Create (2x natural modified and 1 x mild) and am about to go through my first FET following embryo banking and after having a Hysteroscopy and discovering I have thyroid antibodies...joys of fertility challenges.

Tagging as follows from previous chat, please tag any others I may have forgot.

@HopefulElle yep its Dr Ragu! I've been seen by Dr Ragu and Dr Datta, Dr Datta is my main Dr though

@HopefulElle yes it’s indeed Raghu, maybe written differently sounds like this, I also was with dr felix but saw him once. He was good and I preferred actually.

HopefulElle · 04/05/2024 07:14

@Sunflower360 @jolly86 how could I have forgotten the name of the man who got me pregnant 🤣

jolly86 · 04/05/2024 07:20

@HopefulElle so he did your transfer? Mine was Dr Felix, but it was Ragu who did the egg collection. Indeed contrary to during the treatment where she was so pessimistic, she was very optimistic on day of transfer which didn't work though. Was yours a 3rd day embryo?

HopefulElle · 04/05/2024 07:25

@jolly86 Yes, he was consulting with Dr Felix in the lead up to check she agreed with approach and I saw her on transfer day when she wished me luck, but he did the actual transfer. It was a day 3 embryo.

Hello my lovely ladies

Once again trying to catch up with all your news, I'm really terrible at remembering all.

@LittleMissTrying Hello! I wanted to share that I got pregnant naturally at 42, 2nd attempt, baby absolutely fine until a silent infection made me go into labour at 22w.
Got pregnant again at 44, but didn't go over the 6 weeks mark.
Last December, I think I had a chemical. The pulling was there, very clear and very different from period pains (the litmus test for me seems to be sneezing and getting up quickly from a sitting position to feel it..). I had a terrible back pain for days, then super long period.

Obviously it doesn't mean much, but I wanted to share because hearing real life stories made me have some hope, even after losing my first baby. I know many people having natural pregnancies well into their 46, 47, even 48. All healthy babies. Again, it makes me want to scream my lungs out in frustration, but it also gives me some hope.

I'm now what seems to be ancient in ovarian reserve years, so more than hope, it's the "I did all I could" peace of mind behind my drive. And like the very wise @Sunflower360 was saying a while ago, if its fails it fails and if it works it works. It's becoming my mantra these days.

@Sunflower360 How are you doing? Thanks so much for all your answers, and crossing fingers for you. I also have thyroid issues btw, so definitely possible for it to stick. Big big hug.

@Plantymcplant and @HopefulElle, so good to hear you're both doing well. Sending all the positive vibes!

My update: period is starting next week so I'm finally seeing that this is a real thing and I'm actually starting with injections etc. More than the needles themselves, I'm panicking I'll botch the injection and will waste the meds...😬
Any injection tips very welcome! Does the ice cube thing work? I'm all for numbness :D

Also I'm quite miffed with Create admin because they have twice now messed with my final payment - figures wrong, initial estimate missing stuff, not discounting the deposit until I asked them... Has anyone has this? For a couple of days I was sure I was not going to continue with them, that's not ok seeing the huge amount of money they're getting.. But I don't know if I can go through finding another clinic and do everything all over again. Hanging by a thread as I am.

Thanks so much for all your help as usual ladies, and sending positive thoughts to everyone in here!

@JunieS sounds like a lot that you have been through, hope things progress ok for you!

I'm ok just in the tww of my 3rd FET, got a vvvfl at 6dp5dt today but accompanied by brown spotting so I'm not holding my breath. I also have zero symptoms of pregnancy so not looking great tbh

OP posts:
muddlingthrou · 08/05/2024 18:16

@Sunflower360 - that's exciting! I didn't have any symptoms until 6 weeks on the dot. Brown spotting could be implantation. Fingers crossed xx

Sunflower360 · 08/05/2024 18:21

@muddlingthrou thanks, its really hard to know for sure, can only wait to know! In any case its progress after 3 FETs even if doesn't go any further. Will see what happens

OP posts:
HopefulElle · 08/05/2024 20:35

Exciting, fingers crossed @Sunflower360! I had spotting, thought it was the end but turned out to be implantation x

jolly86 · 08/05/2024 22:13

@Sunflower360 all fingers crossed for you x

Maddie23 · 09/05/2024 13:58

Everything crossed for you @Sunflower360

Sunflower360 · 10/05/2024 06:55

@HopefulElle @jolly86 @Maddie23 Thanks all. I'm ok, got an extremely faint positive 6dp5dt (took that test at 2pm) and then tested with a FMU from early this morning (admittedly it was not the full 36 hours gap between the 2 tests but wanted to use FMU) and its still a faint positive, I can't work out if its progressed or not. So I'm concerned its a chemical. Its the not knowing that's the hard part and tbh I shouldn't have tested early as I told myself I wouldn't but I wanted to know if it was a BFN as I had brown spotting on 6dp5dt I thought my period was coming and just wanted to know if it was a definite negative. Now I'm in limbo, OTD is not until Monday now. It was tomorrow but thw Dr has said thats too early-tbh I honest I agree with him, I don't want to be told to stay on progesterone another week if hcg is really low, I'd rather it be out my out my system if its not worked so I can get on with next steps, and thay should happen in a couple of days if its not viable. I'm thinking if it was a viable one it wouldn't be a faint line for 8dp5dt, will know soon enough I suppose.

@jolly86 how are you, have you got your scan diarised?

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 10/05/2024 06:56
  • 48-hour gap, not 36
OP posts:
VenusStarr · 10/05/2024 08:16

I'm sorry you're in limbo @Sunflower360 ❤️ do you want to post a pic? I hope that the lines progress. Are you doing a blood test on Monday, or just home test? Sending love x

How are you getting on @jolly86 ?

I'm back at work now and think my antidepressants have kicked in. So feeling g a bit better in myself. Thinking about doing out final cycle, think I've just ovulated, so going to talk to dh about doing the estrogen prep next cycle. It doesn't completely put the fear into me. Still having weekly therapy which is helping.

Hope everyone is ok x

Sunflower360 · 10/05/2024 08:54

@VenusStarr good to hear you're feeling better and are working towards the next collection. Hope it goes ok for you.

Thanks, photo is below, as you'll be able to see its very faint so I'm not sure what the likely outcome will be but I'm feeling possibly could be a chemical as its light? Only time will tell I suppose. Create said that if the home urine test is positive on Monday their happy to do a beta to see what my blood levels are doing, if negative by then then I won't bother. Which I agree with, if its negative come Monday I want to crack on with next steps planning which was going to be another EC and PGTA embryos from the fresh batch (assuming we got some) before transferring the untested frozen ones.

That's definitely darker @Sunflower360 it'll all depend when you implanted but I think that line seems good for the stage you're at. Keeping everything crossed for you xx

Sunflower360 · 10/05/2024 10:02

@VenusStarr thank you, its really hard to know and I'm pretty sure my eyes are going haywire looking at them! I suppose its line progression that matters, I am a bit nervous about the first test though as it was mid afternoon and I had been drinking water earlier so it wasn't FMU and there is always the possibility it could have been diluted, therefore measuring line progression between the two tests may be a bit difficult. I was originally planning on testing today, if I hadn't done the one on Wednesday I would have been nonethewiser and not over thinking these things now - so its my own fault! Whatever happens though its one step closer, I was beginning to wonder if I would ever implant again after the last 2 BFN FETs so its something to go on, whatever happens

OP posts:
Sunflower360 · 10/05/2024 10:07

@VenusStarr the brown spotting first happened 6dp5dt so I'm guessing I could have implanted the day before perhaps as the vvvfl positive occured on that day too

OP posts:
jolly86 · 10/05/2024 11:23

@Sunflower360 my positive on the frer (the first time i tested) was 11dp3dt so for you it would be tomorrow. I got a good positive that day. It is possible if you test tomorrow you get a better line. It is good sign spotting didn't continue too.

@VenusStarr thank you and I am glad you are feeling better and soon ready to plan the next steps. I haven't planned scan yet, I think I want to do it maybe by the 6 week mark and book for week 7.5-8.

Sunflower360 · 10/05/2024 11:38

@jolly86 thanks, suppose it just depends when implantation happened, if mine was only 3 days ago at the earliest then could be another couple of days to see decent progress I suppose. But will see what happens, so hard to know for sure!

OP posts:
HopefulElle · 10/05/2024 11:41

@Sunflower360 they both definitely look positive and the second darker! If you implanted when you saw the blood then it would take a while from there for HCG to rise..
I felt in limbo until they confirmed via bloods, and even a bit after that to be honest, so I completely understand - but for now I’d say you’re looking positive. Will keep everything crossed for you x

Sunflower360 · 10/05/2024 14:01

@HopefulElle thanks! Hope you're ok

OP posts:
JunieS · 11/05/2024 17:24

@Sunflower360 That does indeed look like a positive getting more positive with time! Thinking of you and sending positive thoughts.

jolly86 · 13/05/2024 11:12

@Sunflower360 fingers crossed for today. Is it a blood test or a home test you are doing?
