Anyone else preparing for FET April 2024

1000 replies

blahblahetc · 19/02/2024 15:18

Hello, wondering if anyone is preparing for an FET in April?

This will be my 3rd transfer. 1st one implanted but early loss, second (euploid) and third (untested) did not implant. I'm waiting to do a hysteroscopy next week + an ERA following week prior to transfer in April.

We decided against testing this time, and are wondering whether or not to do a double transfer. Our embryos are AA/ABs so want to feel hopeful but fully aware of the possible failure(s) ahead of us..

@Serendipity24 huge congratulations to you ❤️

Sunflower360 · 18/04/2024 11:22

@Serendipity24 congratulations!

lemons44 · 18/04/2024 11:37

@Serendipity24 congrats!!!! 💗
The BFPs in this group fill me with so much HOPE. Xxxx

blahblahetc · 18/04/2024 12:36

@Serendipity24 so sooo happy for you!!

@lemons44 🤣🤣🤣I am the opposite, I will need to watch my (red) meat intake after the FET. I have had my fix last weekend at an all-you-can-eat Brazilian bbq 😁

Hoping to see more BFPs in this group and also the strength to keep going if it’s not your time yet.

Congratulations @Serendipity24 !

@beachbum85 I tested 5dp5dt and 6dp5dt and both BFN on internet cheapies.

Tested this morning 7dp5dt on an internet cheapie and got a light BFP, within a few mins. Tested twice and same on both.

Hoping the line continues to get darker over the coming days🤞 I did wake up this morning feeling like my boobs felt heavier so hoping it’s a good sign 🙏

beachbum85 · 18/04/2024 14:38

Congratulations @Serendipity24 and @Lasagne30 !! So very happy for the both of you ❤️ I hope everything continues to go smoothly for you, and the joy/excitement is the winning emotion!

Very promising @2024forthewin 🤩 Great to hear! And you too @wildhay , sounds like the lines are coming through. I hope you both see those darker lines over the next few days 🤞🏼

I can see a couple of faint lines there @MotherOfShihTzus ... I totally understand your worry but fingers crossed that it's a late implanter and they get darker. Let us know how you get on xxx

Glad to hear you're progesterone levels were good, safe travels and good luck for your transfer tomorrow @blahblahetc and for your scan @lemons44 - I'll be thinking of you! Well done with the red meat too 💪🏼 I felt exactly the same trying to get eggs into my diet pre EC... The stuff we do throughout the journey...

When will you get your next update @Faith2024 ? Fingers crossed for you too!

Great that you have a plan @Sunflower360 ! That blood flow test is super interesting, and good to hear you'll be having 2 progesterone tests too. Always hard to know what's best, transferring 1 or 2, but once you have the test results in, your clinic will be able to give advice too and hopefully the decision will be a bit easier xxx

Hi friends, I have been lurking for a while.... I saw some of the highs and lows and just so rooting for everyone here for their time 💓
I had an embryo transfer last week of a 4AA and I got a BFP on Tues, unbelievably... But now the worry kicks in - is the line dark enough? Will it last? I am feeling nervous.
A friend happily told me on Tues that she is 22w pregnant, from the first month trying. I'm happy for her and I love babies, but hard not being hurt by it anyway. Especially as I suffered a second trimester loss (TFMR at 14 weeks - baby had a hole in her heart, had stopped growing, and had a trisomy) for a baby that was so so wanted. I just can't seem to enjoy the moment! I am trying though.

AnxiousAndHopeful · 18/04/2024 15:25

The embryo was euploid * I hope that means the chances of chemical are lower!

beachbum85 · 18/04/2024 17:12

Congratulations @AnxiousAndHopeful that looks like a very clear line for a week in! 🤩 But I can totally understand the doubts that kick in, and I'm very sorry for all you've been through... One of my closest friends had a similar experience and her next pregnancy was very hard for her, even though it went smoothly. Sending you hugs and positive thoughts, and I hope you'll get to enjoy it as time passes xxx

lemons44 · 19/04/2024 06:24

Congrats @AnxiousAndHopeful ! 💗

Fingers crossed for you today @2024forthewin that the line gets darker 🤞🏼

On my way to my 8am scan and so nervous incase the cycle gets cancelled. Really hoping my lining has got thicker. Feel really teary but it could be because I'm now on a lot of eostrogen (does anybody else now not know the difference between normal emotions and hormones? 😅🤣). Anyway I'll let you all know!

Best of luck for anyone testing today 🤞🏼💗

AnxiousAndHopeful · 19/04/2024 06:55

@beachbum85 Thank you, I'm glad your friend had a healthy pregnancy after her loss. The lines are looking slightly darker today so hopefully we are heading in the right direction! I appreciate that people have very differing experiences and I am so lucky to see a pos test. Hopefully it lasts!

Thank you @lemons44! Good luck in your scan today 🍀🍀🍀

wildhay · 19/04/2024 08:44

Congratulations @AnxiousAndHopeful 🎉 looks like a good line for the stage! @lemons44 good luck this morning 🌟

After 6dp5dt and 7dp5dt getting super squinters on 25mui cheap tests, this morning at 8dp I did a clear blue 10mui early test and it's negative so I must have had a short lived chemical ☹️

I'm going to wait now and test again on Sunday or Monday when the FRERs arrive but I'm 99.99% sure I'm out, the 0.01% is the hope these evap lines are giving me way outside the test time frames 😒

Such a roller-coaster

lemons44 · 19/04/2024 12:12

So sorry @wildhay I really hope that by Sun/Mon there is a line there for you. When is your OTD?

I've had a bit of an up and down morning! 😩So my lining on Tuesday was 6.8mm and they put me on patches until my scan today.

Sonographer scanned me today for ages taking multiple measurements and said he's got readings showing 6.8mm and 7mm. He said we're in a bit of a grey area with those measurements so he took some 3D images of my lining and this was all sent to the consultant. Both this sonographer and the one before said the lining looks really good quality with three nice layers, but it's just thin.

I then had a painful wait whilst everything was reviewed by my consultant. Then the nurse called me in and said my consultant has looked at the images of my lining and measurements and he said it looks a good lining and he's happy for us to proceed with the transfer 😅

Obviously I am a worrier and tend to be a negative Nelly, so I have spent the entire train back googling about minimum linings. I've found quite a few posts of ladies similar to me whose lining is stubborn and struggles to get much past 7mm who have had successful transfers. I don't think I would feel as worried if it were 7.4 or something it's just because it's very on the cusp it makes me nervous.

I do really trust my consultant and don't think he would have given us the go ahead unless he felt it can lead to a pregnancy. CRGH are good in that sense that they don't want their success rate impacted so they really won't do stuff unless they think it will be successful. So I'm trying to just trust the process!

I start progesterone tomorrow - does anybody know will the progesterone continue to develop the lining?

My nurse said they don't tend to scan again now.

Xx

blahblahetc · 19/04/2024 12:22

@lemons44 How was the scan?

@AnxiousAndHopeful Congrats! How many days past did you test if you don’t mind me asking?

@beachbum85 How are you?

@wildhay Im so sorry to hear that.. I was having a discussion with my coordinator. The OTD here (Prague) is 12 days urine and they want a HCG report on day 14… (😱I’m not sure I can cope 14 days myself) she said sometimes even a small trace of HCG can turn things around. I am skeptical but do hang in there for that reason.

Officially PUPO!! The procedure was so much more pleasant that Create. They actually said to not be too uncomfortable with the full bladder as you should be feeling good and relaxed and not in having to pee 🤣 500ml an hour before does the trick!

Hows everybody doing?

blahblahetc · 19/04/2024 12:24

@lemons44 Messages crossed! Good you have the green light to proceed! When is transfer date?

OP posts:
lemons44 · 19/04/2024 13:24

Congrats on being PUPO @blahblahetc 💗 how do you plan to spend the next few days?

Transfer day is 25th so next Thursday, with OTD 9th May, which I thought was quite late as that would take me to 14dp5dt.

I won't relax until the blast is in me, still too many things that could go wrong xx

blahblahetc · 19/04/2024 13:39

@lemons44 You need to relax as much as you can. Easier said than done I know!

My flight was delayed by 2hrs last night.. the whole time I thought my prolactin level is gonna go bonkers! I hv asked for a prolactin test just now too (alongside progesterone) so should know in the next couple hours.. we are off to find a nice place for a big meal then some shopping for the rest of the day. Fly back tmr and have Monday and Tuesday off to do nothing 😊

My OTD is 14dp too, on 3rd May…my longest TWW yet! I think (know) I might (will) start testing next Wed 😅

Congrats to everyone who has received positive tests so far and wishing everyone else so much luck in their transfers!!!

I'm currently 4dp5dt and have had absolutely no symptoms whatsoever. Last transfer I had rusty spotting from 1 day after for about 3 days and then on day 3 onwards had very obviously cramping. That ended in a chemical. I can't help but feel that things aren't working this time around, given the lack of feeling anything.

Has anyone else who's tested positive recently had absolutely no symptoms leading up to it? Xx

Sunflower360 · 19/04/2024 14:23

@blahblahetc congratulations on being PUPO! @lemons44 good to hear you can proceed

Hi there, I'm 16 DPT and tested positive from 6. I have yet to feel a single symptom, the line is strong but honestly, I'd have put money on not being pregnant. I've been testing like a maniac thinking surely it will get lighter but it's definitely very dark and very positive. No sore boobs, no pulling, no cramping, no NOTHING

MotherOfShihTzus · 19/04/2024 15:03

Congrats @OchreDeer! And congrats on being pupo @blahblahetc ❤️

MotherOfShihTzus · 19/04/2024 15:06

2nd chemical in a row here. I'm worried it was the progesterone, but was on the full dose; 1200mg pressures plus lubion injection. Does anyone know if a natural FET might help with this? My thinking being that if I ovulate, I'll also produce my own progesterone?

Sorry to hear of your result @wildhay - so tough x

Babydusttous2024 · 19/04/2024 15:09

Hi everyone, haven't posted for a while just catching up!

It's so so promising to see so many positive results huge congrats to everyone! 🥳🥳

I'm currently 8days post 5 day transfer. Have had cramping since transfer up until yesterday when I was just exhausted, and now today I'm exhausted with headache, very mild intermittent cramps and a cross between nausea/starving 😵‍💫 unfortunately it just feels like AF is trying to reach me through these hormones 🙈 our first transfer so it was really hard to know what to expect. Today is the worst I feel rotten 🤢 would love to just text and find out but our OTD is not until Wednesday and my hubby is a stickler for the rules so no extra tests in the house!

Hope all the positive results are enjoying themselves today so so happy for you guys! ❤️Must be such bliss 🥰

Serendipity24 · 19/04/2024 15:17

Thank you all for your messages yesterday 🙂 I am still waiting for the blood result and checking email every two minutes!

Congratulations @2024forthewin and @AnxiousAndHopeful , amazing news!

@lemons44 waiting to get the green light must have been really hard but yay you've got it in the end!

@blahblahetc glad to hear everything went smoothly! Hope you relax and enjoy the days off.

@wildhay sorry to hear about the negative on CB. I took a CB digital test this morning and got a book error even though I did everything as instructed. So currently not a big fan of CB tests.

@Lozzy000 I was mostly symptoms free apart from some pulling and twitching. It's absolutely possible to be pregnant and not have any symptoms.

Serendipity24 · 19/04/2024 15:31

@MotherOfShihTzus so sorry to hear about your chemical.

Your progesterone dose is already pretty high. If you have regular cycle and ovulate, then natural is worth a try. When you ovulate, corpus luteum produces progesterone. So yes, you will produce your own. This is the first time I am on a natural (modified) cycle and I like it better, much easier on your body. My lining was also better compared to the medicated cycles.

@Babydusttous2024 thanks. I think it's a good thing that you are having symptoms. Best wishes for the OTD!
