Lister Clinic vs CRGH Great Portland

Hi - really simple question, I’ve narrowed it down to these two in London after a deep dive into the HFEA stats (did consider ARGC but the per embryo transfer stats weren’t much better). Does anyone have any recent experiences?

I’ve heard horror stories / complaints from friends elsewhere about the quality of record keeping, correct prescriptions etc so particularly interested in that but any and all experiences would be really interesting!

@emilyclementine I did embryo banking, testing and transfers at CRGH. They're ok. They don't generally make mistakes although I found their approach a bit "by numbers" and I had to push for the things I felt I needed that were different to the norm. It's a bit cold and impersonal but quite professional. I liked my consultant a lot tho.

I was previously at ARGC tho it's been a few years so I don't know how things are there now.

What I would say is to check the difference between "per embryo transferred" and "per cycle" stats as both CRGH and especially ARGC are likely to do double or triple embryo transfers for certain types of clients so the "per embryo transferred" stat may not be that relevant to you.

@emilyclementine I did an access fertility package with the Lister and had a positive experience with them. They didn't throw on lots of unnecessary add ons and they were accommodating with my scans before egg collection and booking them in at their satellite clinic in London Bridge as it was closer to me. I did a freeze all cycle so that the embryos could be pgta tested and I was expecting to have to leave a month in between egg collection and frozen transfer however they had such a quick turnaround with the pgta results that I was able to transfer on the next cycle 😊

I also requested to get NK cells test and my consultant spoke to Dr Thum who has done nk cells research about the results and drew up a protocol for me, so I thought that was quite good. I had a successful outcome too, so I may be biased, but I did find them professional, reliable and the embryologists were great. Best of luck! X

*sorry that didn't make about the Nk cells stuff. Dr Thum has done research into it, and my consultant consulted him about my results
