When to test post 5 day transfer?

Hello,

This is forward planning on my part as I am only 3dp5dt but wondering when the earliest I can test is and when I can be sure the trigger shots will be out of my system? (I used both Ovitrelle and Superfact trigger shots 9 days ago).

I am booked in for my Beta test on 9th December and know I should wait and to be honest I haven't even decided if I'll have the courage to test before then, but just want to make sure if I do, I am doing it correctly!

Thanks all 😊

I’m really not an early tester but there’s no way I would wait for the blood test, I would rather have time to process results myself than have someone tell me I’m pregnant or not.
I didn’t test until 10 or 11 days post transfer on my successful round, I can’t remember now but wanted to do it on the weekend.

I did go for blood tests after that to check the hcg levels were rising as expected, the waits for the results were awful.

Anyway good luck when you do test!

I tested at 5dp5dt and got a faint but clear positive. It was the first transfer I decided to test early mainly because I recognised symptoms from conception in other pregnancies (I have one son and had 3 mc's prior to this pregnancy). Not everyone gets a line that early though so don't loose hope if it isn't positive then. When it was a natural conception it was usually Day 12 I saw my positive so equivalent of 7dp5dt. Best of luck x

@Emi88 I am going for my 2nd transfer next Wednesday and thinking the same. From the research I've done I think it's fairly safe to test 7 days after. However, my clinic advised to wait 14 days which is falls Wednesday. I'm planning to test the weekend before to give myself time to process, so that will be 8-9 days after transfer. I will continue with the medication and do another test on the official day.

Good luck! Plan some things to keep yourself busy. I am currently very busy at work and also it's my birthday next weekend so that will help to distract myself. Oh, and already preplanned to watch Crown after the transfer! Have a little trip planned for myself on OTD so in case it's negative will be able to enjoy few drinks then and during Christmas

@Emi88 it actually falls on 10 days post transfer that I'm planning to test. I have works Christmas prty on day 8. I wouldn't mind having few drinks that day but i think it is sensible just to dump that idea whatsoever

I've gone through three transfers and never tested early because it's such a roller coaster. If you insist on testing early then ten days after a five day transfer is "safe".

Honestly trust me. Getting a positive from the trigger and actually being negative, or thinking you're negative because you've tested early when you're positive is really not worth the heart break xx

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Decided I can't wait until my beta on the 9th so will be testing first thing tomorrow morning....I have never been more nervous for anything in my life!!

I have had tender breasts and some light spotting (but it's red🤔) so am keeping everything crossed...but at the same time expecting the worst 🫣

Best of luck to anyone else testing!
