How long did you take estrogen & progesterone after medicated FET?

Hi all
I am currently 10 weeks pregnant after a medicated frozen embryo transfer (I was down regulated first) and am a little lost as to when I should be stopping estrogen and progesterone. The IVF clinic are telling me one thing and EPAU and midwife another. I’ve also just read that supplementing estrogen for too long after FET can be detrimental to the development of the baby so I’m freaking out. Please could anyone who has been through a medicated FET let me know how long they continued their hormones for and the outcome for them?
Thank you so much in advance x

@Koalie congrats on your pregnancy! My clinic told me to stop estrogen at 8 weeks and progesterone at 12 weeks.
When does your clinic say to stop?

Koalie · 15/05/2023 12:19

@ingkir thank you so much. My clinic said I could stop around 7 1/2 weeks but also said I could carry on if I liked. EPAU said to carry on progesterone until 16 weeks because of my previous miscarriages but that they weren’t sure about the estrogen. I’ve stopped the estrogen today but now I’m worried I’ve been taking it too long 😔 was yours a medicated FET? As in, were you down regulated first? X

@Koalie i haven't completed FET yet but apparently I'll be on oestrogen and progesterone x2 until 12 weeks if successful. I think everywhere does it differently
