Oh yessss! Very pleased to hear the biopsy came back fine, and so quickly @IVFlife
I might check out that app @2mumlife. I’ve started trying a very beginners yoga thing on YouTube lol I am very much not a yoga person but trying to stop my brain being so pingy.

I have some general advice to ask. I’ll be on max drugs, long protocol. We have a friends wedding all the way down in Margate right in the midst of injections (I think at the tail end). We’re getting the train all the way down and back. Is it a bad time for my body/for making it produce/for mental health to go? I’d really like to celebrate the couple, they’re my partners friends technically but now mine too, and just such kind and lovely women, I want to be there for them. Am over worrying? Or could it affect my chances? Will I be a bloated raging swamp monster?

IVFlife · 08/06/2024 08:04

I think going to the wedding would be OK - likely a nice distraction and some fun. And you don't have to dance into the wee small hours could leave whenever you wanted.

My only thoughts about it that might be an issue are transportation of meds if they need to be kept ag a set temperature. I was possibly ridiculously OTT with my mefs though. I had a fridge thermometer and would try not to open the door too much to avoid changing the temp. Maybe cool bags or something?

Also esp by the end I think scans can become more frequent. Could even be 2 days in a row for stims scans.

ivf24 · 09/06/2024 08:41

Hopefully things will start moving for you now @IVFlife.

We had our 12 week scan on Friday and all good. I decided to wait until the scan to stop all meds. Has anyone that has come off meds at 12 weeks had any symptoms? I don’t think I do but completely overthinking it!

IVFlife · 09/06/2024 08:52

Aaah that's good news about scan

You remind me I need to contact clinic about meds as I'm duento come Moffat my own hrt then start clinic meds just over a week from now and I don't have enough

2mumlife · 09/06/2024 19:19

@ivf24 congrats on scan! Never had any issues coming off meds, don’t overthink it they aren’t what’s keeping you pregnant x

@Nosejug I would go if you’re feeling up to it and can make it between appointments. You can never garauntee timing though - I missed my sisters wedding due to an egg collection

2mumlife · 09/06/2024 19:30

@Nosejug I also think you can do a bit “mind over matter” though as well. I was determined to make it to a friends wedding just a couple of days before my due date with DD and managed just fine 😂 think a lot of people wee surprised I made it (it was only like 90min drive from home and friends mother was a midwife in a previous life so felt like if something did happen it would be fine)

ivf24 · 09/06/2024 20:52

Thanks @2mumlife ☺️.

I agree @Nosejug . I would go if it works with appointments. I was at my cousins wedding recently and I took my injection with me and did it in the car 😂🙈. Thankfully nobody saw.

2mumlife · 10/06/2024 09:16

@ivf24 @Nosejug Part of the joy of fertility treatment is taking meds in weird and wonderful places 😂

Nosejug · 10/06/2024 10:19

Heh, thanks for the replies with advice! About to get my catheter test, so I’ll ask about storage of meds and temps. I’m thinking two 12 hour train journeys trying to keep 4 days of meds at the right temperature might be tricky, but I like the idea of mind over matter. I’ll try pin down a timeline with them today. Calendars and clocks are not my forte…!

2mumlife · 10/06/2024 10:31

@Nosejug Hope the catheter test goes well! I set up reminders in my phone for all the meds x

Nosejug · 10/06/2024 13:32

Well, unfortunately I have to go back (maybe tomorrow but I’ll find out later today) as they couldn’t get the bigger of the catheters through :(

Ive roped in my mum to pick me up after as I’ll have to be sedated. Never been “under” before…!

the dr said it’s actually not because of the lletz, and so in a way it’s good I had to have the test as other people find out on transfer day.

2mumlife · 10/06/2024 14:32

@Nosejug I'm sorry things aren't as straightforward with the catheter test as you'd have hoped, but as you say it least its not to do with the LLETZ. Try not to worry about being sedated, you'll be absolutely fine. Does this mean they might need to sedate you for any transfers then?

Nosejug · 10/06/2024 17:14

@2mumlife im not actually sure! They said they’re going to try dilate it, I was like, with meds? But no, with probes hah/eek. So maybe they’re going to try stretch it? Or see how much force is needed? I guess I’ll find out tomorrow. But yeah, glad at least it’s not a lletz thing. And maybe nervous but also quite interested in being sedated? It’s very early tomorrow morning so at least I won’t have time for nerves!

2mumlife · 11/06/2024 08:33

@Nosejug Hope everything goes well this morning. All quite interesting!

StuffLoriThangs · 11/06/2024 11:21

I’ve been testing early and they are all negative. I think I might be out this transfer

2mumlife · 11/06/2024 11:41

@StuffLoriThangs When is OTD / how many days post transfer are you?

StuffLoriThangs · 11/06/2024 11:47

I’m 12 dpt @2mumlife so otd is tomorrow.

I guess it’s still possible 15dpt but still.

2mumlife · 11/06/2024 12:06

@StuffLoriThangs Sadly I'd call that out 🙁know my ODT have always been 10 days post transfer, so I'd have expected something for you by now if the embryo was going to take x

StuffLoriThangs · 11/06/2024 12:39

Yeah, that’s what I thought. Never mind. Thanks @2mumlife

Nosejug · 11/06/2024 13:14

Och sorry to hear that @StuffLoriThangs . Hope you’re ok.

i had my op early this morning, on train home now in just mild pain. Turns out it is scar tissue from the lletz despite what they said yesterday (stenosis). He’s opened it up but says it’s likely to close again so I’ll need to do a third test a bit later to make sure it’s open for any possible transfer. Might need another more involved op. But glad it went well for today at least. Next stop is prostrap. 🚂

2mumlife · 11/06/2024 15:10

@StuffLoriThangs I'm sorry :( do you have other embryos you can try transfer?

@Nosejug That all sounds really unpleasant. I'm sorry its adding another complication / thing to think about. Though from what you've said it sounds like they are quite positive they can do a transfer, just a bit more complicated a procedure?

StuffLoriThangs · 11/06/2024 15:23

Yeah I’ve got a few other embryos. So another few goes. Just not this time

StuffLoriThangs · 11/06/2024 18:04

Ugh. And now my DH is upset with me because I tested early. Sad

it’s my body.

IVFlife · 11/06/2024 18:34

Aaah sorry to hear that @StuffLoriThangs x

@Nosejug hope you can rest and relax this evening after all that! Do you get your prostap jn clinic or do it yourself? It was the 1st injection I did and I found it the worst to make up! So def double check with nurses before you do it . Although tbf I had xovid between my planning appt and doing the jag so the info may have just left my brain.

IVFlife · 11/06/2024 18:37

Nurse from clinic phoned earlier to sort out what meds I do/don't have pre Fet. Some confusion over if I need an injection or not. I've never had injections the other times I've prepped for this but it's always been mentioned. So I think same will happen but they will phone back tomo. And I've just checked my stock of meds and sent a message to them about that. I'm convinced I have more estradiol somewhere but at kne point I had it all over the place so o could t never forget it/ leave it behind so poss lost. At least the boxes of the tabs aren't THAT expensive (in ivf terms)

I (stupidly) started to feel a tiny bit excited. (Where I totally haven't been esp since the breast bioposy stuff) Now I feel stupid cos I think my bleed is coming too early again and that's going to delay stuff. Possibly by just a week but it's another complication!!!! This happened last time and the consultant said just to keep taking my own meds and then if when j come off them I don't have another bleed after a week then I can start clinic meds. So assume that would be plan again but it makes me worry about how ready my body is when it does this stuff aaaargh.
