@ivf24 When I was first on these forums there was a tradition of getting a McDonalds after transfers - never worked for me but some people swear by it 😂 I’d just say try to relax after, and try to avoid testing early. Good luck!

JulesIVF · 27/03/2024 20:42

@ivf24 best of luck! I don’t know yet if any of this has worked for me but kept my feet warm at all times and I’ve been drinking a smoothie with beetroot, watermelon, ginger and pineapple core every morning (apparently a study showed improved implantation rates, but who knows). If you don’t want to test early then I defo recommend getting your other half to hide any tests you have 😂 that’s helped me haha.

Thanks @2mumlife and @JulesIVF , I am going to try the McDonalds fries thing this time I think as well as keeping feet warm. My acupuncturist talks about this. Smoothie sounds good too! I’ve managed to avoid testing early before so hoping for the same this time.

2mumlife · 28/03/2024 06:32

@ivf24 I’ve heard of the warm feet thing too. Best of luck!

JulesIVF · 28/03/2024 08:48

I caved 😭❤️. I’m 6dp5dt. I took my trigger shot 12 days ago 250 ovitrelle. I tested on transfer day to see if it was still in my system and was verrrrrrrry faint but will a wee bit worried that it’s that. Will check again tomorrow and next day to see if it gets darker

Oh @JulesIVF what amazing news congratulations!!! Please keep us updated and enjoy this moment 💕

Ellenn · 28/03/2024 10:49

@JulesIVF congrats!! Such nice news, I hope it continues to get darker but must be a good sign that you already have a line this early!!

how is everyone else getting on? @2mumlife @Eiremogra

i had NIPT bloods done this morning and had a scan and finally I’m measuring exactly on my dates which is amazing 😍 always been measuring 2 days behind which I know is a tiny difference but made me paranoid incase I got further behind! I’m hoping it doesn’t take too long to get results and we have requested to find out the gender! Very exciting xx

JulesIVF · 28/03/2024 11:08

@Sabrinafive @Ellenn thank you! And that’s great about your scan 😊. Anything that alleviates a bit of worry is welcomed.

ivf24 · 28/03/2024 12:10

Wow! Congratulations @JulesIVF , lovely news ❤️. Hoping that line keeps getting darker. We are on our way home from our FET. All went well 🤞🏼🤞🏼.

Nice to hear from you @Ellenn and glad all is going well for you ☺️

2mumlife · 28/03/2024 15:57

@JulesIVF Congratulations!! I find it takes a lot to get the digital tests to register 1-2 weeks, so that is definitely a really reassuring sign!

@ivf24 Congrats on being PUPO! Hope you're having a restful afternoon!

@Ellenn Was that a private NIPT and scan rather than the NHS one? Glad things are looking so positive! I'm still a bit in 2 minds if I want to know the sex this time around (we didn't find out last time). 12 week scan for us next week (I'll be 13 weeks at that point) so looking forward to getting it over with. Hoping everything is looking ok so we can start telling people and making plans 🤞

IVFlife · 28/03/2024 16:07

Will catch up on messages soon.

Does anyone know what GCRMs opening is over Easter? Do they close? Thanks

2mumlife · 28/03/2024 16:13

@IVFlife Sorry don't know. I think they are normally only closed over Christmas?

Ellenn · 28/03/2024 22:55

@2mumlife yes we did it privately as only 11+4 wks at moment. My nhs scan isn’t actually until I’m almost 14 wks! I felt like I just wanted the extra reassurance and get to find out slightly earlier if any issues. Has your nausea improved? It sounded like you had it bad! Mine seems to have subsided around a week ago, I panicked at the time but seems like all ok for now …

JulesIVF · 29/03/2024 06:43

@IVFlife I don’t think they close. They told me to call on Monday to give results so the phones are being manned at least.

My Test is defo darker today already 🥹

2mumlife · 29/03/2024 07:33

@Ellenn Yeah feeing a lot better now. It normally improves around about that 12 week mark. I’m definitely firming up around the abdomen already 😮 but they always say your bump is more noticeable earlier the second time around 🤦‍♀️

@JulesIVF Thats definitely darker! 🥰

2mumlife · 01/04/2024 15:32

@JulesIVF Happy OTD!!! How are you doing?

JulesIVF · 01/04/2024 15:55

@2mumlife Thanks!! Yeh all good, booked in for my scan at clinic 3 weeks today 🥹🤞🏻.

Obsessing over line progression with the wee strip tests and need to stop 😅. Got a 2-3 weeks on digital yesterday so that calmed me down a bit lol.

how you getting on?

@ivf24 how you feeling? I started getting impatient around day 4/5 cause I knew I could potentially get a positive by then 😂.

ivf24 · 01/04/2024 19:10

@JulesIVF I’m doing well thanks for asking. I have no desire to test early, haven’t had previously either. Just trying to enjoy the tww if that’s possible. Hard not to symptom
spot but trying not to getting caught up in that!

ivf24 · 01/04/2024 19:13

Glad all is going well for you @JulesIVF ☺️

Sabrinafive · 02/04/2024 09:35

Morning all - so sorry to come on being grumpy but just looking for some positivity/advice. Just had our last scan and boostering tonight for an egg collection on Thursday. My lining was 8.1 on Friday, 7.6 on Sunday and now only 6.3ish so they’ve said they’ll need to look again at collection however this might end up being a frozen transfer which will take another 3 months or so. I’m so deflated - has this happened to anyone before and it became thicker again? Feel like it’s 3 steps forward and two steps back at the moment.

StuffLoriThangs · 02/04/2024 11:22

Sorry @Sabrinafive didn’t happen to me but I ended up being a freeze all due to ohss risk. I know it’s not ideal but sometimes to get the best chance we just need to be patient. Patience is something I really struggle with all the time!

ivf24 · 02/04/2024 12:43

Our clinic just sent us a photo of the embryo that was transferred and now I’m freaking out that it doesn’t look right. It’s completely different to the last one that was transferred but then that didn’t work! This process is never ending!! 🙈 Have to trust that they know what they are doing 😂

JulesIVF · 02/04/2024 13:22

@ivf24 we had a double transfer and they gave us the vitrolife Timelapse video of both embryos and I was comparing them both and getting in a tizzy over them looking different. It must be normal cause they were the same grade of embryos 😂.

@Sabrinafive that must be really frustrating. I was freeze all and I was upset about it at the time cause it just feels like a constant waiting game but I was glad for the wee break in the end. I had to go back for a second lining scan 24 hours later and I googled all sorts that help to thicken it and it might have just happened naturally anyway but it was thick enough the next day. I had tuna, a tub of watermelon with cream, and beetroot and pomegranate juice 😂.

ivf24 · 02/04/2024 13:27

@JulesIVF yes exactly. All 3 transfers have been 4AA. We didn’t get a photo of the first one, I’m assuming because it was a fresh cycle. This one and the last were the same grade but look very different. I feel like the last one looked like a textbook Day 5 blast if there is one but this one looks completely different 🤷🏼‍♀️

2mumlife · 02/04/2024 17:11

@JulesIVF Try not to obsess over line progression - you’re pregnant! Enjoy it! You’re brave having a double transfer 😮

@Sabrinafive No personal experience but I’ve heard of it happening before. A freeze-all cycle isn’t the end of the world - I personally prefer it as I think it gives your body time to heal and recover. I felt much more emotionally and physically ready for embryo transfer on my freeze all than fresh cycle.

@ivf24 We’ve never got to see what the embryo looked like as clinic doesn’t provide that and I can kind of understand it as people do worry about it! I think try not to panic if you can (easier said than done).

Had our 12 week scan today and everything looking good 🥰. Really funny this one already acting like my DD - spent the whole scan face down refusing to budge, so only image we have is upside down and pretty rubbish (just like DDs 🤦‍♀️) and measuring ahead like DD so think we’re on the trajectory for another longer/larger baby 😂

Back in next week to get cervix length checked and have initial consultant appointment
