Oh @Decaffe what a lot of information to digest and make decisions about! At least you know now why things haven't worked out, and something can be done. Time feels like the thing we don't have when dealing with infertility but if the hospital and IVF clinic are communicating then I'm sure the right outcome will be reached for you xx

Awwww @Decaffe I really feel for you. Take it easy tonight and over the next few days and take time to process it all. I sometimes have no idea what to do in the moment but after a few days it comes to me which path to take. The doctors will want to give you the best chance to be a mummy so I'm sure they will put all of your options together and let you decide what is best for you.

Do you have blasts in the freezer at the moment? I think you said 2x BCs like me didn't you? Sorry I'm so rubbish at remembering everyone's full story! I feel like we need the first post to be one we can update so i can keep referring back to it! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Is there the option to try to get a couple more frozen first? I feel like for us it's the harvesting and getting blasts that we are pushing for because the rest can be done in a year if we need to but we're not getting any younger so want this bit done asap.

I'm really pleased you have a solution going forward though which sounds like you'll have a great chance of having a baby even if you need to wait a little while ❤️

seekingbabyk · 28/02/2023 19:55

@1stcycle I'm sorry you have bleeding again. I think anyone would do the same if you have some bleeding you want reassurance which you are trying to get from the tests so we all understand. I think it's a bit poor of your clinic to not be running bloods in this situation to be honest so it's definitely a good idea to get gp or EPU tests done. They are always lovely there and it will give you the peace of mind you need xx

seekingbabyk · 28/02/2023 20:00

Sorry last post! @KLM25 I didn't even think about the stretching of the scar should you end up pregnant with twins! I guess that does make sense now because you could end up with a huge bump 😱 I really believe in fate though and it could be you transfer one and then it sticks and you might be thinking thank god we didn't transfer two! Hope you're ok - I hate it when any of us don't get the news we want on here x

Decaffe · 01/03/2023 08:26

Morning all. Quite sore today but managed to get a few hours. I think we have decided that I need to go ahead with the endo removal surgery. There’s no point transferring these three embryos and just hoping for a different outcome when it’s all such a mess in there. That’s the definition of madness, right? I need to unstick my pelvis and get the anatomy back to normal. It’s going to be a(n) (even) long(er) road but I don’t see that I have any option.

And quite apart from the fertility side of things, I just think it needs sorting. My daily lower back ache which gets even worse on TOTM. The painful period poos. Javelin arse as it’s known on here 😁 And God knows what complications it could all cause in the future. My DM thinks better for me to have a serious op now rather than say at 65!

Anyway hope I can still join you all on here til I get through to the other side xx

1stcycle · 01/03/2023 09:12

@Decaffe morning! Hope the pain eases off soon. And sounds like you have made the best choice for you. I know the wait is fustrating but as you said sorting yourself out first is the best option and it will all be worth it in the end! Rest up now and try and think of the positives that it should sort out your back ache and also get you fit for your frozen embabies 😊

@seekingbabyk I know I was surprised they didn’t offer me a blood test, but they said it was common. However I bled more last night, I had cramps after putting in my second and third cyclogest of the day and then had more spotting and woke in the night and it poured out of me sorry TMI. I hoped it would stop beings I used it rectally. It’s stopped again now and just when I wipe but I called them this morning and now I am off for bloods. I think I just need confirmation that all is ok and then I’ll take the bleeding if I know it’s not losing the pregnancy.

seekingbabyk · 01/03/2023 09:22

Morning ladies. Awww @Decaffe I definitely think this is the right decision and it will all come around so quickly, before you know it you'll be done and doing transfers and imagine how good it will feel knowing they now have the best chance possible. Make sure you get lots of rest now and hoping you feel better asap!

@1stcycle that's great news at least you can get some reassurance and hopefully answers. Is it your clinic doing the bloods?

Tinkerbell098 · 01/03/2023 12:40

@Decaffe aww massive massive hug and hope the recovery goes well. I think it's the best decision as it will sort out a lot of the issues, and who knows you may even fall naturally after that? It's great you've got 3 embabies in the freezer for when you feel well. Did they say how long you'd have to wait to get the surgery done? Lots of love X

@1stcycle So sorry you are bleeding again. It can be really scary. Glad they're running bloods now. Fingers crossed hCG is rising as it should, and the bleeding is caused by something else. Thinking of you X

1stcycle · 01/03/2023 12:48

Thanks@Tinkerbell098 & @seekingbabyk yes the clinic are doing it but they were just came across so rude when I was having it done. Questioning me what the blood was like and saying it’s common etc. kept saying brown blood is fine etc and ignoring that I said it was red. And then said but we can’t see your blood so we just have to go on what the patient says. Made me feel like she was fobbing me off a little and making out I’m being silly or something. This same nurse has never been very personable mind. I just think it’s a scary time for us regardless some of us have lost pregnancies etc so it can be triggering and worrying so maybe be a little nicer! Plus I’m paying for it!

Tinkerbell098 · 01/03/2023 12:51

@1stcycle that's so appalling! They shouldn't be like that, they're there to help and reassure you. I'm sorry you've had a bad experience. Are they running more bloods 48 hours apart to see if it's rising? When will you get the results? Big hug!

1stcycle · 01/03/2023 13:00

@Tinkerbell098 i know they’ve always been good to be fair but this one nurse always been a bit of a grump, but still should have a bit of tact. She said I should get the results tomorrow and they might call me back Friday for another test. Tests are still dark so I feel like hopefully all is ok, I guess just want reassurance not made to feel silly!

seekingbabyk · 01/03/2023 13:06

@1stcycle I'm sorry they were like that - it's horrible when you have a nurse who isn't reassuring and helpful. Fingers crossed you get a nice strong result and they will be happy with just the one test. I had the bleeding stopped now?x

MinBins · 01/03/2023 16:09

Sorry you went through that @1stcycle - it's tough as it is - doesn't help when people are inconsiderate instead of supportive.

Fingers crossed it'll all be okay - 💖

1stcycle · 01/03/2023 17:17

@MinBins @seekingbabyk thanks both it’s nice we get support in this thread! The bleeding had stopped and then I did a bit of cleaning and cramps and blood started again. And thinking back yesterday was the same after i went for my evening walk and cooking. So I’ve just rested the rest of the day as does seem when I’m more active the cramps come. So I’m not taking my dog for his evening walk now feel awful about it but my hubby will be home from work about 8 ish and he will take him then. Just going to try and stay laying down and relax. Yeah fingers crossed a good HCG tomorrow and maybe I’m just one of them who bleeds a lot in early pregnancies.

ralno2 · 01/03/2023 20:12

@Decaffe hope you are on the mend and it all went ok, it's only a few months before you can get back on track wiht the IVF - my friend had a similar operation and she conceived within in 6months of it. Hope the same happens for you xx

@1stcycle I am currently on 3 x 400mg cyclogest, I prefer being on the higher dose. Just for my own anxieties 🤪 At least I know I am getting enough/ more than enough progesterone to keep this baby secure! There's no harm in a higher dose either.

ralno2 · 01/03/2023 20:14

@Tinkerbell098 @Imisscoffee2021 so glad the scans went well!! 🥰

I have my first 8 week scan on the 17th of March. Just hoping everything keeps going the way it does!

I got my HCG bloods back this week, they would have been taken 16 days post transfer (around 21 DPO) - they were 2904iu - does that seem low?

ralno2 · 01/03/2023 20:16

@1stcycle sorry I've just read your most recent posts - god some nurses can be so inconsiderate. Are you getting another set of bloods? When will you get the results?

KLM25 · 02/03/2023 09:59

@Decaffe Hope you had a better nights sleep and are feeling a bit better again today. That definitely seems like the right decision to me. Any delay feels so frustrating I know, but it sounds like the op will sort a lot of problems out and three frozen embryos is a great number to have waiting for you. Have they given you any idea yet how long it might be?
@1stcycle What bad luck to get the grumpy nurse when you’re already feeling vulnerable and worried 😒 I think we feel bad for asking for these things, but it’s part of their job to reassure us and a blood test is not asking for the moon! Glad they’ve done it for you anyway and also glad you’re able to put your feet up and relax a bit, I’m sure it’ll help.
@ralno2 That doesn’t seem low to me, I think the numbers can vary wildly can’t they. Hopefully the clinic would have said something if they thought so? March 17th will be here before you know it x

1stcycle · 02/03/2023 13:59

@ralno2 @KLM25 thanks! Just got the results back and it was the same grumpy nurse. Literally just said bloods have been checked with doctor everything is fine they are 882 and don’t need another test take care and then hung up. Literally didn’t get a chance to say anything or like didn’t ask if I’m still bleeding etc which I am and the cramps are getting a little worse. That test would have been 15dp 5dt and 882. So I’ll give it a few days and take a clear blue how many weeks and hopefully see a 3+ and just take the bleeding and cramping!

ralno2 · 02/03/2023 14:04

@KLM25 they didn't really say much, they just have me the number and that was it. It's so hard to know what's normal HCG level and what's not when there's such a vast range!

@1stcycle that's great to hear, how do you feel? Are they going to do a scan or just wait until your 8 week scan?

1stcycle · 02/03/2023 14:29

@ralno2 thanks I feel a bit better today so far it’s been much lighter and also cramps not been as bad so I think I’ll see how it goes next few days if it gets bad again I’ll just call EPU instead. We are away on the weekend to a lodge so hopefully just have a chilled weekend to take mind off it! My scan is 21st March which I will be 7weeks 4 days then so hopefully everything will be fine until then! Xx

Tinkerbell098 · 03/03/2023 13:55

@MinBins did you say your scan was today? Good luck X

@1stcycle aww that sounds amazing. Have a lovely time and hope you can take your mind off things. The bloods are reassuring X

@ralno2 bloods seem fine to me. There’s a massive range as you know. Everything crossed for you X

KLM25 · 03/03/2023 14:58

@1stcycle That sounds really positive, hope you have a great weekend and can relax a little bit, a change of scenery always works wonders I find!
Hope everyone else is doing ok and has a lovely weekend too x

MinBins · 03/03/2023 16:35

@Tinkerbell098 I did! Scan went well - baby was measuring at 12.4 days (ahead by 4 days) so the due date is now 11th Sept.

(I have to take the pessaries till Sunday tho still 😅😩)

Really relieved and happy. I found the NHS scan less friendly, (grumpy person) but I guess they had things to check. I went in at 9am and then waited around for bloods till 11.30am. Hadn't eaten breakfast as I had a litre of water and was SO HUNGRY 😂 Baby was also asleep which had me worried as no movement but then woke up and began moving around which was reassuring.

@1stcycle hope everything is okay and that you are too! Those are good numbers on HCG, and hope you enjoy your short break!

@ralno2 hope you're okay - those bloods seem to be within a positive range!

@Decaffe I think that approach is the one that seemed better in the long term - staying positive for you, and hope you are okay. 💖

Tinkerbell098 · 04/03/2023 09:26

@MinBins amazing to hear about the scan! You must be thrilled. It’s interesting that they changed your due date as although I measured ahead (by a week), the lady said to stick with the due date my ivf clinic gave, based on my 7 week scan. Sorry you had a grumpy person and had to stay for so long for the bloods. That’s annoying! But all done I guess. Did they book you for your next scan?
