Heya ladies! Hows everyone doing? Xx

KLM25 · 20/04/2023 14:56

Hiya 😊 Everything is ticking along with me. I’ve been taking this Norethisterone pill for the last 8 days, last one tonight and then apparently my period should start in 2/3 days 🤞 I’m really hoping it does!
I had a baseline scan this afternoon and to my relief everything was ok, so my clinic have said to start my protocol as planned with my period.
The sonographer said there was no fluid in there so I was pleased about that, as they’ve often remarked on it at the day 11 scans and it’s worried me.
It’s been really nice to have a break from the pessaries and injections but I’m definitely ready to go again now.
Hope everyone is doing ok - I think some of you were away on holiday so hope you’re having a fab time x

Imisscoffee2021 · 20/04/2023 15:50

@KLM25 so great your on your way to another round! Brilliant news there's no fluid too, hope this is your lucky round :)

MinBins · 20/04/2023 18:32

Ah that's great to hear @KLM25, fingers crossed for you!

How are you @Imisscoffee2021?

I'm okay waiting for the scan on 27th, and we have a house move next month 🤞🏼

Tinkerbell098 · 21/04/2023 11:47

@KLM25 that's great! everything crossed for this round X

@MinBins my scan is also on the 27th! How are you feeling? have you felt movements yet?

@Imisscoffee2021 how are you? Have you had anymore scans? When is your due date?

KLM25 · 21/04/2023 13:20

@Imisscoffee2021 @Tinkerbell098 @MinBins Thanks ladies 😊 Glad you’re all doing well. I’ll keep you posted x

Imisscoffee2021 · 21/04/2023 13:21

@Tinkerbell098 @MinBins I'm good thanks! Been to visit family over Easter, first time since they knew I'm pregnant so that was funny, being very catered for and treated with such care, not usually!

He's really moving about now, can feel limbs and his body rolling around, responds to my voice and various other things. Got a fetal cardiac scan next week as my husband's family has a history of bicuspid aortic valve disorder, scans so far fine but just getting that extra hard look at him, then a growth scan next day, and finally the dreaded glucose tolerance test to check for gestational diabetes the day after, busy week next week! That's on 27th so three of us will be in hospital that day!

Due date is 15th July :) when's yours @Tinkerbell098 ?

Hi everyone! Nice to catch up on how everyone’s doing. 😊

I fiiinally have an appointment next week with my gynae surgeon to discuss the results of my MRI. I’ll also find out what the plan is for the endometriosis excision surgery. I’m really hoping it’s not gone so deep in my bowel that I’m going to need a colostomy bag but I’m half expecting it really.

I may have mentioned that he said while I was in recovery that he wants me in medical menopause for 3-6 months to calm the end down before the next surgery. Well I have been researching the drug and it’s got truly awful side effects, some long lasting. I’m really going to try and advocate for myself not to have it. Apparently some women have been successful at this in the past!

Ideally I just want to go in and him to say it’s not as bad as he thought and would I be free for surgery in the next few weeks 😁 but let’s see! I’ll know by this time next week 🤞

Have a lovely weekend everyone x

MinBins · 22/04/2023 12:06

Thanks @KLM25

@Tinkerbell098 felt some movements - not consistently, sometimes more prominent than others. Looking forward to the scan! How about you, have you felt movement? X

@Imisscoffee2021 good luck on your glucose tolerance test! I had mine on week 16, due to previous GD and family history of diabetes. I gulped the syrup down, and then had a two hour wait in hospital. Good luck on the scans, very busy week ahead for you. So cute to hear that the baby kicks when he hears your voice! 🥰

Ah it must be worrying to read the experiences about the side effects. And over 3-6 months to experience them is a long period of time, did he say it was for a better outcome at surgery? I'm hoping it's all okay for you though and that the talk with the surgeon goes well. And that you get the approach you're happy with. @Decaffe

Imisscoffee2021 · 25/04/2023 16:13

@Decaffe hope your appointment goes well this week! Hope you don't have to take the medical menopause route too, fingers crossed!

@MinBins yeah I read it's quite disgusting that drink and I do worry I have GD as he's measuring quite large, but hoping it's just cos husband's 6 foot 4! Had a heart scan today and all was well, as far as they can tell at this stage :)

Tinkerbell098 · 26/04/2023 14:13

@Decaffe good luck with your appointment, hope it goes ok and you are able to avoid the horrible drug. Let us know how it goes X

@MinBins I have felt something, but as it's my first, not really sure what movements should feel like, and just feel like some digestion/gas LOL. I am both nervous and very excited for the scan tomorrow. All the best with yours and update on here how you get on X

@Imisscoffee2021 that's amazing you can feel him so much now and he responds to you. that must feel magical! What a busy week for you. Good luck with all the tests X

MinBins · 26/04/2023 14:39

@Tinkerbell098 I will do! What time is yours? Mine is in the morning. I've felt some bubbles and jabs - but nothing that OH can feel. It could be anterior placenta as I know that movements come later with that. Gas type feelings are movements - I told my OH yesterday that I'm sure the little one is passing wind as that's what it felt like bubbling in my belly 😅

@Imisscoffee2021 yes previously was thick gloopy sugar drink. And with fasting it is extra bleurgh. I heard some offer lucozade which is much better imho! Hope your tests go well this week!

Tinkerbell098 · 26/04/2023 15:36

@MinBins mine is at 8.50 am. When is yours? I'm also planning to get the whooping cough vaccine straight after as it's a walk in service in our hospital.

Decaffe · 26/04/2023 16:48

Thank you, it’s Friday afternoon so will check in after 🤍

Decaffe · 26/04/2023 16:52

Yes @MinBins it is supposedly to reduce inflammation of the endometriosis deposits and so to reduce bleeding during the operation. However, the ESHRE guidelines say there is no evidence either way for the use of them. And some argue that reducing the size of the deposits before the op, risks them being missed during the op and so not being removed. That’s the argument I’ll be making anyway!

To be fair to the surgeon, if you remember he got me those blood tests on the NHS on the same day as I enquired about them. He said yes to a laparoscopy even though I didn’t present with the usual symptoms. And I presume he must have okayed me being seen as a priority as I had my op within about eight weeks of asking for it. So I have to presume he is a good egg and will at least hear me out. I hope so anyway!

MinBins · 26/04/2023 20:32

That's a fair argument @Decaffe I hope they listen to you. Especially the side effects and it potentially affecting whether they spot the endometriosis. Let us know how it goes x

@Tinkerbell098 mine is 9.40am 🤞🏼

Decaffe · 26/04/2023 21:13

Thank you, will do. 😊

It’s so lovely to hear about everyone’s bumps and kicks! Good luck for all your scans too!

KLM25 · 27/04/2023 12:06

@Decaffe Really glad to hear that you’ve got your appointment tomorrow. It’ll be great to be able to ask all the questions you have and you’ll feel like you’re taking steps forward too. Hope it all goes well.

@MinBins @Tinkerbell098 @Imisscoffee2021
So funny that you’ve all got your scans/glucose tests today! Hope everything goes well for you guys too. They tested me for GD when I was pregnant with my son, they kept saying he was a big baby (he wasn’t really in the end - 8lb 4oz), but it was just a blood test, I didn’t have the drink. After all the IVF ups and downs, it’ll be easy peasy I’m sure 😊

After what seemed like an interminable wait but was only 4 days 🤦‍♀️, my period arrived on Tuesday so I’ve started my protocol. Just estradiol, prednisolone and Clexane at the moment, so not too bad.
I’ve got a lining scan booked for next Friday 5th. Weirdly, all the Ultrasound Directs nearest to me had no availability until mid May but I managed to find an appointment in Stoke on Trent! It’s an hour and a quarter drive but I don’t mind that too much, I’m just relieved to have it booked x

Tinkerbell098 · 27/04/2023 13:37

Hi ladies! Just an update. Scan went well and we are having a girl 💖

@KLM25 aww glad you’re now all started and got a scan booked next week. All the best for this cycle X

Imisscoffee2021 · 27/04/2023 14:19

Wow @Tinkerbell098 what lovely news! A little girl! So happy for you, glad all good on the scan too :) xxx

That's great news @Tinkerbell098!

@KLM25 fingers crossed for you - and hope everything goes well!

An update from this mornings scan - all went well, they gave me a printout of all the scan FL/HC/AC which I geeked out on 😅 we're also having a little girl 👧🏻

Imisscoffee2021 · 27/04/2023 17:32

Another girl @MinBins !! That's so lovely! Congratulations, did you have an inkling or was it a surprise? :)

Awwww little girls 💞this is such lovely news @Tinkerbell098 @MinBins so happy for you xx

I'll be starting IVF round 2 soon now. Had my day 1 yesterday, so waiting for an appointment to pick up my meds. Starting Norethisterone around day 20.. so if all goes well, EC would be around mid June. Excited we're starting again soon. But also feel like being lifetime away from ever having a baby. Weird lol. anyway we soldier on don't we.

KLM25 · 28/04/2023 14:21

Thank you ladies 😘 Yes it feels good to get started again and I have a kind of what will be will be feeling this time. I’m trying to reach a happy medium between not thinking about it too much but at the same time, not forgetting to take my meds 😂

@Tinkerbell098 @MinBins Awww so lovely to know that you’re both having little girls 💕 Really pleased for you both.

@Honeybunie Fab news you’ve got a plan for another cycle 🙌 I took Norethisterone this time which was a new one for me but it did what it was supposed to and my period arrived more or less as they had said. Yes we soldier on! Always good to be moving forward anyway x
