PCOS Myo-Inositol? - Periods have Disappeared

Hi all :)

I hope everyone is well!

I just wondered if anyone with PCOS have taken Myo-Inositol and what your experience was like with it?

I suffer from PCOS and wildly irregular cycles, length usually ranging from 32-57 days max. Weirdly, since starting Myo-Inositol...my period is a no show...and I am now on day 76 :/ (not pregnant). Could be totally unconnected and just a weird coincidence, but it is just v.odd.

Has anyone had any similar experiences? Thank you!

Morning. I’m the same PCOS diagnosed at 21 after years of irregular cycles but no huge issue in terms of weight (I eat low sugar low carb and drink vodka once a wk…) and 2 pregnancies no issue getting pregnant but had the scans and blood work to diagnose… (I’m now 39). I wanted to balance myself regularly as my my cycles vary anywhere between 30&60 days and no pattern. I started raking chiro d myo inositol 7 months ago and it seems to have regulated mine to between 30&36 days ish but took 2 months plus to start working. I also find my stages of each cycle are far more defined eg middle is very obvious as full of energy, extreme amounts of clear secretions etc (tmi sorry) but yes it works IF you take consistently

What are you taking? The best is a set ration between Myo and d chiro inositol (I think 40-1 but would have to Google it)

I started taking myo-inositol after being on the pill for a short time early last year (prior to this I had mid-cycle bleeding). I found exactly the same, it seemed to lengthen my cycles to at least 50 days so I stopped taking after 3 months. Maybe I should have given it longer but oddly my body seems to be regulating the cycles now without it.
I guess the effects are very individual but I would try it again in the future.

Yes that’s exactly what I’m taking

I have PCOS and IVF consultant recommended Inofolic Alpha. My cycle range from 35-65 but the Inofolic did nothing to help at all so I stopped it after 6 months

Interesting. I think I might stop it for a month and see what happens as have just started Metformin so might just see how I with that for now!
