Hi all,

I’m reaching out because I’m just so sad to be honest!

My last period was April 20th, and since then, I’ve been on a bit of rollercoaster with faint positive pregnancy tests, acupuncture, terrible doctors and still no period.

I just feel so defective as a woman to not be bleeding, and really heartbroken that I’m not pregnant. Does anyone else find it awful when medical professionals ask ‘is there any chance you could be pregnant?’ - it’s like ‘I bloomin wish!’

I’m 22 and we’ve been TTC for 8 months, although in that time I’ve only had one cycle.

Has anyone got any words of wisdom that might help me feel less awful?

sorry for the misery guts post - I know it’s not all bad, just feels dreadful at the moment. Made worse by neighbours about to have a baby 😞

Oh to be 22 again. I also have PCOS but i'm quite older than you and ttc. You have plenty of time to learn about your body and explore your fertility journey. Make sure you find a good group of specialists who you trust <3 have you seen any yet?
best wishes
xx

Hiya,
since you are trying for a baby i would push your gp for tests or request clomid with a blood test on your first cycle to see if it makes you ovulate. Possibly even a hsg test to ensure tubes are fine and there are no blockages. Its frustrating because doctors wont take you seriously as you are 22 and will say try for another year.
i got pregnant the first time we tried in 2015 but i miscarried and after that the next 8 months my periods were non existent or id bleed for 2/3 days. But i pushed for a scan and the sonographer that day told me oh look can you see theres a tiny egg in your tube id suggest you go home tonight and try………. 9 months later i had my ds. But I was also diagnosed with pcos. So frustrating!!
