Hi everyone,

My first time posting here after spending the last few weeks following some of your IVF/ICSI journeys which I’ve found really helpful during what feels such a lonely time!

I’m 29 and we have male factor infertility.

Currently 4dp5dt (1st cycle) and wanted to reach out to see if anyone else is in their (dreaded) 2WW? Or has had a successful first cycle.

I’d love to connect with you and share journeys.

@flowersinmay have tried to send a private message- think we’re the only ones left using this chat 🤣 Hopefully I sent it correctly!!

Hi ladies, I just found your thread and just loved that you were going through this together. I just wondered what the outcome was?
I am 3dp double FET and wondering when is too early to test. We have been on this journey for 5 years now with 3 miscarriages and multiple failed transfers.

flowersinmay · 08/08/2023 06:30

@JenniferJS aww very best of luck to you! I think it's a bit too early to test for you at the moment.. it's so hard to be patient I know.. but try and hold on until at least 8dp if you can.
I now have a beautiful, healthy & bouncing baby boy who is now 4.5 months old. He's lying next to me gurgling away as I type this message. When I read these messages back it's crazy to think how hard IVF is but it all seems a distant memory now and all the suffering and pain has been completely worth it. It will be for you too ☺️💜 wishing you the very best!!!

@JenniferJS aww good luck, keeping everything crossed for you, especially after you’ve been through such a tough journey.

I actually tested on 4dp5dt and got a faint positive which grew to become my beautiful 4 month old boy currently cuddling and feeding right now. But as @flowersinmay says that’s really very early to test and most people don’t see results until around 10dp so keep up with the meds etc for as long as you’re dr advice. Here’s wishing you all the best xxx

@flowersinmay so so lovely to think of you sat with your little one 💗 What a journey we had together. Hope you’re well and cherishing all these amazing moments. Honestly, I must have tears of joy most days xx

Thats amazing that you both ended your journey with beautiful baby boys! I really felt all the angst reading your old messages and it so lovely to hear your lovely stories that come from it.
I wish you both all the best with your little ones. Lets hope that one day I too wll get my dream....but lets see. At the moment it feels like a lifetime away.

Hi Jennifer!
im in a similar position to you. I had my FET transfer last Friday! How did things work out for you? Today is d4p5dt.

also thanks @flowersinmay and @Agapanthus13 - your thread is keeping me going!

Hi, @Patientlywaiting7 Things didn't working out for me. It was negative and that was the last of our frozen embryos.
I had a follow up consultation with the clinic last week and we decided to take a break for the rest of this year before my next egg collection in January. We have been on this journey for 6 years now and our lives have been kept on hold through the whole process. Its my 40th birthday in December and we have 2 weeks holiday planned in Florida and I just want to live for a few months before we go into our final and last cycle.
It may never happen for me and I am OK with that but I cannot stop trying whilst I can. But for now I need a break for me and my husband to just be us without all the meds and appointments and wands up my noonoo!! 😂

If you can I would wait until day 8 for testing at the earliest. On my 3 positive tests I never showed until this day. Any earlier and you then get downheartened and that stress can have a negative effect.

I have everything crossed for you xx
