Day 6 of FET and no symptoms

Hello! I am on Day 6 of a FET and have no symptoms. I might have felt a few twitches in the first couple of days, but I also think my mind might have been playing tricks with me. This is my third transfer, and I put two in this time. I know that it does me no good to be googling/looking for reassurance, but I just can't resist it! So any reassurances about not having any symptoms, but still getting pregnant would be very welcome! 😊

I don’t have any good news but I wanted to say since nobody was replying. I’m 6dp6dt FET as well, so I sympathise as this wait seems interminable.

Are you on progesterone? At this stage I firmly believe that any symptoms are nearly always from the medication anyway (this is my third time on progesterone, although the other two were for IUI, one BFN, one BFP and this one is IVF and TBD). Anyway, every time I get all the side effects on the list for progesterone, upset tummy, aches, cramps, cracking joints, unquenchable thirst, headaches… it goes on. Didn’t matter if I was pregnant or not. So maybe for every one of me, there’s one of you who doesn’t get any of those symptoms and it won’t matter for you either?

Seriously, not to make light of it, I know how anxious you must be, but I would totally swap!

@Iliada thanks for replying! Yes I'm on progesterone and progynova - I've haven't had any side effects from any of the medication (apart from mood swings, perhaps? Who the freak knows eh?), and sorry to hear you're feeling rough - but hope it's for good reasons! I'd almost rather swap with you and feel that something was happening in my body! I woke up with a bleeding nose this morning, which I've read could be a symptom but also could just be a bleeding nose! Good luck for the days ahead and let me know how it goes for you, wishing you all the very best 😊

Hello, do you mind me asking how it went for you?

GoldJules · 17/06/2022 16:03

Hi @Ttt3333 - of course, totally fine to ask! It didn't work for me that time, so I'm gearing up to try again. All the fun! I'm just debating whether to go for a fresh cycle or a transfer. I've got 9 blastocysts - 5 of apparently good quality, the rest a mix of grades. Im 42 so my main challenges is egg quality - and if I were to do another egg collection, apparently they can prescribe some extra "LH" to boost the quality - so I'm tempted to go for that. Are you on your two week wait? :-)

Hi @GoldJules I'm 41 and just had a fresh transfer yesterday of a 5BB blast. If that fails, I have two day 6 slightly lower quality ones just frozen, so I'll also need to decide whether to try another fresh cycle or try these frozen ones first. I imagine the consultant will have some advice. This was my first fresh cycle and first ever transfer.
Are you TTC#1?

I'm an early tester (from 4dp5dt), can't believe you haven't tested yet! Both BFPs I've got at 5dp5dt. Honestly symptoms mean nothing. Fine if you have none, and if you have some it's likely due to the medication. For me the twinges in 1st few days were giveaway. Good luck x

Scottishgirl85 · 17/06/2022 21:43

Sorry that should say testing from 3dp5dt and BFPs at 4dp5dt. I'm amazed at your willpower!

GoldJules · 18/06/2022 14:28

@birdbybird I hope you’re feeling okay! I found the waiting to be the hardest part. Do let me know how how get on. That was my third transfer…

@Scottishgirl85 Hiya! Oh I think it was more like I wanted to wait because then there was still a chance of it being possible. I’ve got three negative tests (which I know isn’t all that money and I’ve been doing this only since November) but I do find the finality really difficult - so it was more of a way of prolonging the possibility!!
