Hello my dear, I am so sorry to hear about your losses. I am currently on Clexane, prednisolone, aspirin, progesterone, but it seems that they are not helping much as my pregnancy is not progressing as it should and very much in line with my previous miscarriage. I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks last year, in which we didn’t see much on the scan at 6 weeks, a heartbeat at 7 weeks, and then no heartbeat at 8 weeks. I really thought that all that medication was going to avoid this from happening again but once again, there was only a gestational sac and a yolk sac in the scan at 6 weeks.

Did you do a biopsy after your miscarriages? Does your doctor think that the main cause is genetic or immune/blood-clotting related?

@Fabsco hey , thanks for replying !
It’s awful what we have to go through isn’t it Sad
And I have had all the tests and I don’t have blood condition but consultant to will put me on these blood thinners anyways as I am unexplained ! I haven’t had NK test done , so my consultant won’t give me predionsole even after begging him for it as I have heard so many success stories about it .
I am unexplained so far doing NHS testing , I know I could do more tests but I would have to go private .
Are you pregnant now ? I am so sorry to hear that things aren’t right even after all this medication , omg , so heartbreaking ! Do you have any plans what to do next or you having another scan to see what’s happening ?
Can I ask how did you get predionsole ? Did you have the NK test done ? Xxx

@ShareLove Apologies for the delay in replying. I haven't done NK panel done, but I was tested positive twice for antinuclear antibodies and that's why I am on prednisolone. I was also tested positive for lupus anticoagulant, which in combination with positive ANA, indicates that I have an autoimmune disorder. Taking prednisolone can cause birth defects such as cleft palate, but the benefits might outweigh the risks, so that's why some doctors prescribe it.

In my case, none of the supporting medication seems to have an effect as my current pregnancy doesn't seem to be viable. I will be asking my doctor to increase my medication for the next embryo transfer, but worry that pregnancy losses may well be caused by chromosomal abnormalities as I am 40. We have two embryos left and have decided to move to egg donation if nothing works. I have another ultrasound on Monday but know that it will be bad news. This journey is so tough.

I hope you can have more tests done and get the medication that you need!

They put me on these but sadly didn't make a difference. Have you checked karotyping to see if it's a genetic issue? I'm awaiting those results and the fetal tissue from the last miscarriage came back with trisomy 13.
It's depressing isn't it?

@Rtmhwales I’m sorry to hear about your loss; this journey is so difficult. My husband and I did karyoptying tests and everything came back normal. We didn’t do PGT-A or biopsy after miscarriage, but my inkling is that my embryos are abnormal. We have two frozen embryos left but worry that they will be aneuploid. I am convinced that my eggs are the problem, and it’s a hard conclusion to get to. At this stage, I just want to have a healthy pregnancy.
