Putting ivf on hold because of my health, help?

I don't know if anyone will be able to answer this but I'm going to ask anyway. Basically, we had a call today to say our funding has been approved for IVF. However, I have kidney disease and I am currently going through rejection of my transplanted kidney and my health isn't very good. My kidney doctor has told me to put TTC on hold for now but the IVF clinic are talking about possibly starting ivf on my April/may cycle. Will they allow me to put it on hold incase I am still not able to try for a baby then or will I have to start the process completely again?
Also, are they able to refuse me treatment due to my health or is it my decision if I want to go through with it?

Thank you x

I think it's up to you when to start so long as you complete it within the guidelines ie if they have an age cut off. I know when I was first going to use the NHS for IVF I waited 3 months or so as just wanted one final push at conceiving naturally and then the day before actually starting I found out I was pregnant naturally - the IVF clinic said it was up to me when to start and to just defer starting in case my pregnancy ended in a miscarriage so I deferred another 12 weeks to make sure I had had a healthy scan (I did) and then to notify them that no longer wished to proceed

In terms of your health though....I don't think they'd Be willing to treat you if you were unwell as the IVF medications may interfere with your kidney medications

Assisted conception clinics have a legal obligation not to risk your health, like all medics they have a duty of care. They may think it is too big a risk to your health. Best thing you can do is openly discuss it with them xod
