What happens in the first phone appointment with hospital?

Hi everyone,

DH and I have had the following tests done through the GP:

Pelvic ultrasound (no issues noted)
Day 21 bloods (apparently ok)
Sperm analysis (2% morphology but other numbers good)

LH and FSH bloods were done but on Day 21 instead of Day 3 (GP insisted 🙄) so I believe that makes the scores meaningless.

Anyway, I have a phone call booked with the hospital fertility unit in a couple of weeks. Can anyone advise what to expect please? Will they book us in for the IVF pathway?

Thank you.

Hi Decaffe I can't answer your question but giving it an extra bump. There's a good thread over in Conception called something like "first fertility appointments and beyond" or similar that you should have a browse through! 😊 I'm not at this stage yet but have found the thread really helpful.

Hey, you sound quiet similar to me, we had most them via the doctors and got a phone call appointment with the fertility clinic nhs, they just pretty much go over your results that you’ve already had, just asks few questions they may ask about weather you’ve had blood for rubella which you will need if you do go for ivf, I told them that we can’t get it on the nhs because my DH has child with previous partner so they just suggested me to fund my own ivf but if you qualify they would prob put you forward for that
