I have read if I undergo these procedures I need to wait several months before I can have ivf...is this true? Does anyone have any insight?

Haven't had them but have been told the same.

I think you could potentially do a freeze all cycle but wouldn't be able to transfer....???

I had them both earlier in the year. They wanted me to wait 3-6 months depending on how intensive the surgery ended up being. I waited 4 months in the end but didn't get pregnant naturally so now on to IVF. My surgery was for a fibroid so I had stitches in my womb and the concern was it tearing if I got pregnant too early.

@bmachine I had both and had to wait 6 months as they wanted us to try and conceive naturally as the doctor advised they treated my pcos and endometriosis however we didn’t conceive I have just had a failed ivf and waiting to start a frozen transfer via ivf I would recommend the surgery tho as i have spoken to a few ladies who have conceived after the surgery naturally xxx

Sorry I should of said depending on what the issues may be mine was also a sperm issue so may be the reason why it didn’t work for us xx

Thanks for your insights. Its diagnostic to try and find a reason for our unexplained fertility so no idea what they might find or how intensive any surgery/removal might be which frightens me a bit !!! I have no obvious symptoms bit he said sometimes endometrius can be 'silent' with no symptoms

Did you manage to have a cycle? I had both lap and hysteroscope done in January and the ivf doctor let me have a FET cycle now (February). Surgeon Gynae (less clued up on fertility tbh) was against it but ivf doc was happy to.
