I can't see that anyone else has started one yet, so I thought I may as well!

Just got my calendar through today and will be downregging in three weeks time, starting stims in late October, with EC provisionally in early November. This is my second round, which will now be ICSI-only after my last one ended up with a total fertilisation failure

Anyone else on the same sort of timeframe?

KatRee I hope you are right, I’m sure I’ll be fine, there’s no choice not to be is there
How have you got on with your scan?

Thank you PositiveeVibes hopefully I can channel some of your strength and I can imagine it just becomes ‘normal’ after the initial few doses. Have you been given the go ahead for your stims to start?

@Reefy well done and also 13 eggs here. How crazily in sync we are. 13 is a good number though :) How are you feeling?

I'm a little tender, but the procedure itself was totally fine, and I'm enjoying being fussed over by DH I was out like a light and don't remember a thing. When I woke up I felt like I'd had a full night's sleep, and apparently was very concerned that I'd been snoring! Haha.

My partner's semen samples today were also much better and back to the levels they were at 6 months ago so that was a bit relief. There was no explanation why he had such a massive dip the other day but he was quite stressed so I'm putting it down to that.

@Reefy aww that’s a good number hope you’re doing okay! @GodspeedJune yes got the go ahead to start stims tomorrow yay!! EC week commencing 15th November hopefully! It will become the new normal yes which is still weird to me ha ha!

@want2bemum 😂 yes isn't it sooo weird. I only ended up with 4 more then last time but hopefully will have some to freeze! They said right here comes the good stuff & asked about holidays I said you did this last time then I woke up somewhere else 😂 I could then feel it coming & said right I feel it goodnight 😂😂.
Oh I'm so pleased his levels returned back to what they were!

@PositiveeVibes good luck for starting stims tomorrow

I have been told to carry on with stims after my scan this morning. The nurse now thinks what looked like a cyst on Monday might actually just be a large follicle, but it's pretty impossible to know for sure. Was a bit disappointed this morning as seem to have fewer follicles than last cycle I did and they are different sizes, but just got to stick with it and see what happens I guess.

@KatRee oh really! Well yes fingers crossed 🤞.
When they turn the screen & show me I have no idea what's what & how they do it 😂 so hopefully it was a large follicle. Don't feel to disappointed yet as it's quality not quantity & some might catch up yet. Do you know when EC will be yet?

@KatRee glad you’re able to continue and fingers crossed it is just a big follicle! Hopefully the others catch up a bit!

Just had to call & only 6 out of the 13 have fertilised. I feel quite disappointed with that as that's what I ended up with the day after last time with no Frosties so I can't help but think that will be the same again. I guess we will just have to wait for the update again on Saturday.

@Reefy that’s a good number try not to be so hard on yourself - I know it’s hard! And I will struggle as I got no Frosties last time and I think I will find that really hard if it happens again! I am hoping you get a positive update on Saturday!🤞 I think this is the hardest part after all the build up to this point you can’t help but feel disappointed!

Well done @Reefy on your 13 eggs and and 6 is still a good number to be fertilised and well done on @want2bemum on your 13 eggs.

I have my first transfer today, any tips from anyone who has gone through it? Should I do some walking before hand to make sure theres blood in my uterus?? lol

@Shaj123 good luck with your transfer today! I can’t give you much advice as last time I was at work and then went straight back afterwards! Just drink plenty of water beforehand.

@Reefy Sorry to hear that, but try not to worry. I think that is quite normal - they told me out of the 13 only about 80% would be mature enough, and out of those they would not all fertilise.

It turns out that only one of mine has fertilised, so I am having a Day 2 transfer tomorrow. We won't have any to freeze, so if it doesn't work it will be this all over again probably in January.

I'm very anxious and I know it is unlikely to work out, but there is a chance, so I'm trying to keep hopeful. It's so hard this rollercoaster.

@PositiveeVibes yes it is as you can't do anything but just wait for the call. Yes that's the same as I got none to freeze last time too. Let's see what happens.

Sorry there is me saying I feel bad only having 6 that fertilised, It's because I'm comparing it to last time & I know I shouldn't.
So to anyone I offended or upset when saying that I'm sorry.

@Reefy hey not at all. This is just such a difficult thing for anyone to go through. It seems like whatever each person's individual situation, there is always something to be anxious about. I would have been equally anxious if I had 6 fertilise because that's just the way my mind works and I worry.

I have seen people with much better and much worse situations than me worrying, depressed, and also feeling hopeful depending how they look at it. I can understand it all because we just don't know anything. It's like a lottery.

We just have to ride the ups and downs and hope for the best. Please don't feel bad about posting a worry because it's all valid! x

Oh yes I think no matter what number you get you will always worry. It's such an anxious time & we have all been through a lot of get here.

Hi all, please can I join? This is my first IVF cycle and I don’t know anyone who is going through it in real life.

We have 3 years of unexplained infertility. I just had my first stimulation injection last night (Bemfola) and I’m going for my first follicle scan on Friday.

Would be great to be able to chat to others who are going through the same thing.

I’ve had my transfer early this afternoon.

They said the embryo they transferred wasn’t quite Blastocyst but early stages of blastocyst.

I have 4 other embryos, 3 of which hopefully should get to blastocyst and 1 that doesn’t look like it will. They hope they can freeze the 3. One of those 3 was originally 9 cells on Day 3 but they didn’t choose that one to transfer as the embryo I had transferred was assessed to be better quality over the 5 days.

Just worried they won’t reach blastocyst and I won’t have any to freeze.
