Has anyone had a gut feeling they're not pregnant but then turned out that they are?

I've recently had an embryo transfer and have just been feeling like I won't be pregnant. I'm not sure if there's an element of self protection there because I've had 2 previous losses.

Has anyone else had the experience where they've strongly felt like they won't be pregnant and then turns out they are?
I know this won't effect my outcome but just wondered.

We're booked in with the clinic at the end of this week for a blood test to confirm results.

Yes - my 4th transfer from 5 egg collections I was convinced hadn't worked. In fact I spent most of the week post transfer googling lack of symptoms and success stories....I had twins 🤣

@ivfgottwins Oh my gosh..! Twins! You'd probably imagine you'd have more intense symptoms with 2 babies in there! Did you have 1 embryo transferred or more?
I just keep feeling like it hasn't worked but I really feel it could be because of previous times. I don't really have symptoms apart from the ones progesterone gives you..!

I transferred 2 as neither us or our clinic thought it would work! 🤦‍♀️

Other than being in maternity wear by 9'weeks I had no symptoms at all - no nausea no sickness no sore boobs or cramps x

@ivfgottwins Thats really good in one way, I know it can also cause worry when you feel like you have no sus morons during pregnancy.
I've been pregnant twice before but miscarried both times. Both time, really early on in the pregnancy - about 3 days before the pregnancy test date, I would go completely off chocolate and tea and couldn't face having either during the time I was pregnant.
So I'm waiting to see if that happens but it hasn't yet!
We've also changed sperm donor for this cycle so it could be a bit different this time.

@ivfgottwins Also I've heard that a few times of where the clinic wouldn't think the person would be pregnant so transferred more embryos and all of them stuck..! I wanted them to transfer 2 but they wouldn't.

Hey! I was convinced at 6dp5dt that it hadn't worked and had a negative test. I spend a whole Sunday in bed crying. I waited till test day then and was shocked to see it was positive! I am 12 weeks now x

I feel that way but don't want to test yet. My partner is really reluctant for us to test before Friday which will be 10dp3dt. I just really hope that I am but so far, not feeling it. x

@LetMeIn321 my partner was also against testing early! So I did wait for otd but for us af came just before hand, 2 days before otd.
So if I were to cycle again I would wait til test day x
But for me I didn't feel pregnant and I started getting period type feelings 2 days before x

@strawberrysummer19 I'm sorry to hear that. It's so confusing because the progesterone pessaries can mimick some pregnancy symptoms. But I'm not really feeling pregnant. Whereas with my two previous pregnancies (although I miscarried both) I went off tea and chocolate etc straight away. Before I'd even tested which was really early. I suppose only time will tell and I don't have too long to wait x

@LetMeIn321 when is your otd ?
Thing is I know that it can vary between each pregnancy so don't write it off just yet
Some people don't feel any symptoms x

I felt the same and had zero symptoms. I kept squeezing my boobs to see if they were sore- but nothing. My symptoms didn't come on till 6/7 weeks and even then very mild xxx

@strawberrysummer19 It's this Friday. We're due at the clinic to have a blood test and then they let us know later that day. I've been trying to remind myself of that - each pregnancy can be different and you might not experience the same symptoms each time, or as early. I just really hope that's the case here x

@lottie198 I've been doing the same! They are bigger but that's because of the progesterone pessaries which make them that way. So it's confusing as they can mimic potential pregnancy symptoms.
If I am pregnant, the symptoms could be different this time as we have used a different donor which I suppose could potentially make a difference. I think I'm just expecting the worse and wish I could feel more hopeful. The two week wait just feels like the longest time ever xx

Hi! I'm ok thank you - not pregnant as I expected. I didn't feel it at all so I wasn't completely surprised.
Went for the blood test and it came back negative. Was so tempted to test the night before but didn't.
Going to have a frozen transfer but they've said I need to wait 2 months to have that which is a bit of a pain. X
