Can I still get pregnant naturally and become a mom at 39? Any success stories?

I've had 3 miscarriages back to back after I had my daughter that's 2 now. My Doctor says it's probably because I'm to old and that my eggs are to old & bad now. Sad

While age can be a factor in miscarriages, other tests should also be run after 3 to see if there's another cause. Have you been referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic?

Many millions of women conceive in their late 30's and into their 40's. Sometimes there's no way to say who (in that group) will conceive easily and who will have issues.

I'm sorry you've had miscarriages. And you deserve further investigations to see if there is a cause beyond 'age'.

The answer to your question is kind of another question: how long is a piece of string?

My best friend is 39 and is 27 weeks pregnant with her 2nd child, the baby is due a week before her 40th. This was natural conception, her DD was conceived by ivf 4 years ago. She has lots of fertility issues. Im 39 and 9 weeks pregnant with my first baby, I had ivf 5 years ago and had a mmc, this pregnancy was natural conception. I know I'm not over the dreaded 12 week stage but I've had a early scan and all was good so I'm reassured by this. Also my cousin had her first baby aged 40 and second at 44 so definitely at age 39 there's every chance you can conceive. Was it your GP who said about old eggs? I can't imagine my fertility clinic ever saying that to a woman, they see lots of women over 40. Have you had your AMH checked, apparently that can be an indicator of egg quality and your GP can do this test for you. Im sorry about your miscarriages, I know how absolutely devastating they are.

Yes I have a friend who had multiple miscarriages before having her DS at 39 and now her second at 43. Both conceived naturally. Whereas I needed IVF for my second at 33. In my experience GPs can be a bit flippant about fertility issues, age does absolutely make things harder but you should still get further advice.

I'm 40 next week and 30 weeks pregnant with a surprise baby conceived 18 months after DD was born who was a result of 5 years TTC and a round of IVF. I was cursing AF not arriving as I had an appt for a scan to start the ball rolling for a FET with our only frostie, took a test thinking it would no doubt make AF come later the same day to mock me and nearly fell over when it was a BFP.
Age is a factor with fertility but it's not the be all and end all.
