I'm really sorry @Freya2015 it's terribly hard... take the time you need to process it all. Sending you a big hug and hoping next time will be your time x

Glad to hear your scans went well @Sungirl11!
@Crazydoglady123 I'm glad your bleed id on the way so you don't need to delay more :)

I'm really glad you had a positive scan as well @Orsh - that's so many follicles, no wonder you're feeling the pressure in your tummy! I hope it stays manageable!
I'm OK, thanks. I had a couple of difficult moments especially when my period started and I had terrible cramps... it just felt so final. But now I'm just looking forward to having a date for the review consultation and working out the next steps. Looks like I have to wait till June/July at least, which feels like ages away, but it might actually be nice not to have to think of this for a little while, if I can do that :)

Narwhal88 · 14/04/2021 19:59

@RedFaerieBoots my clinic said to me yesterday that a bleed can take up to 2 weeks sometimes longer. I think it's normally quicker than that but it is still normal for it to be longer don't worry too much. I stopped all progesterone after Monday evening and started spotting today.

RedFaerieBoots · 14/04/2021 20:09

@Narwhal88 - Thank you. Was beginning to think I was going mad. Typical that mines will take a while.

ImHopeful · 14/04/2021 23:48

@Freya2015 im sorry to hear that😢 its a terrible feeling, keep praying and it will happen when the tine is right.

Huge congratulations @Bethpalmer20 Flowers
Did you get a faint line or a proper one?
I did a test on 7dp5dt and got a faint but visible line, repeated the test today and was hoping that it would go darker but got the same thing. So a bit puzzled, cant wait to repeat it tomorrow.

@beachbum85 thank you! What stage are you at?

@Orsh i see the stim stage the good part, because it the least stressful stage of the ivf to me.

Bethpalmer20 · 15/04/2021 06:11

Hey @imhopeful I would say it was faint but definitely not a squinter! I took another yesterday which was a little darker and a digital one that came up pregnant. I read up a lot about line darkness and decided not to test again as I don't want to stress myself out over whether it's darker each day etc. Just going to wait it out until my early scan in 4 weeks as anxious as I may be! X

beachbum85 · 15/04/2021 09:44

@RedFaerieBoots sorry I somehow missed your message yesterday! Yes, as @Narwhal88 said, it can take a while, around 10 days. I'm sorry you're still waiting, I'm sure you want closure now. I had a heavier and crampier bleed than usual and my nurse had warned me that would be the case, so it should be very different to the spotting and light bleed you had before. I hope you don't have to wait much longer to put this behind you.
How are you both doing OK considering everything? Hugs x

@ImHopeful congrats on your first line - I hope it progresses nicely.
This round is over for me and I had a BFN last week.

RedFaerieBoots · 15/04/2021 09:49

@beachbum85 - thank you. Today is day 9 so will give it until Friday and if nothing will mention to clinic. Didn't want to if this was normal. Thank gawds for you ladies as they didn't say it could be this late!

Did you get normal period symptoms beforehand?

beachbum85 · 15/04/2021 10:03

@RedFaerieBoots I started spotting about 5 days before, and that was my only symptom (I usually spot just a couple of days before, though). I didn't have headaches, sore boobs, cramps, or anything else really, until it arrived in full force.

Nik85 · 15/04/2021 15:21

Hi all, I hope you don't mind me joining the chat.

I've had 6 rounds of IVF in total 1 successful with DD 2017, tried again 2019 which failed and yesterday had a FET Blastocyst transfered. Feeling hopeful and relaxed for now!

Good luck everyone xx

Hi @Nik85 !! Good luck on your TWW! Smile

I got my scan postponed a day, so from tomorrow to Saturday. To give my follicles another day.
I had two slight cramps on my ovaries and then this big EWC drop came out Confused it felt like a big blood clot when period time. I believe this is normal when doing stims. Two more days to see what is going on with my EC.

Nik85 · 15/04/2021 19:28

Thank you!

Hopefully your EC will go ahead and the EWC was just your body reacting to the stims. Have you had EC before? Xx

Nik85 · 15/04/2021 19:29

@6543336787gesgvjhg thank you xx

ImHopeful · 15/04/2021 21:09

@Bethpalmer20 thats a wise decision, too many tests is nerve wracking! Its great you got your scan booked, whats the date if you dont mind me asking?

@beachbum85 thank you and sorry about your BFN 😔

@Nik85 welcome and congrats on being PUPO again 🙂

Today i was 9dp5dt and tested on frer And got BFP😁, couldnt believe my eyes, over the moon but a bit nervous at the same time. My OTD is on sunday, going to reveal the result to DH on Saturday, its his bday and i think this will be the greatest bday present he's ever had 😁

Congratulations @ImHopeful! That's such a lovely idea!

Whoop whoop! Finally bleeding today so fingers crossed all will be good for the repeat baseline scan Monday and I can start stims 🙏

Sungirl11 · 16/04/2021 07:42

Good freezing morning!

@Nik85 no I haven't! It's our first time doing treatment. I did read around and it says it's normal due to the medication. So it's ok. Not worried.

Nik85 · 16/04/2021 08:51

@Sungirl11 EC is a breeze, wishing you lots of juicy ones xx

H1991M · 16/04/2021 17:02

Hi just after abit of advice - had a call from an NHS clinic today saying that they are only just giving initial appoiments out from March 2020 back log. Advice on waiting times during covid? Not sure whether to just go straight private as these are much shorter. Thanks

Itstime1 · 16/04/2021 17:34

@ImHopeful Congratulations! such a lovely Bday present.
@Crazydoglady123 Yay, at lease you'll be able to start soon :)
@Nik85 good luck in the TWW, take time to relax as much as you can x

Bit of an update from me before I catch up reading everyones posts, the dark spotting continued all this week until today when it went red/heavier. Still like a light AF but my AF are light and 3/4 days anyway so its like D1/D3 for me.
I rang the clinic and there's not much we can do except wait, they said to test again when the bleeding stops but if its still intermittent then test Monday but I think we had a chemical for our first round. We are gutted but it was always a possibility!

Hard but we have never seen the two lines on a test before and we can get there again! We have one in the freezer so hopefully once they confirm the CP we can go straight into getting ready for our FET once a review has taken place. Were going to push for the sooner the better I think.

Hope you're all ok!

6543336787gesgvjhg · 16/04/2021 17:39

@H1991M hello we were NHS and had no waiting time at all so it must depend on areas. If it was me I would wait for NHS as it can cost so much but depends on everyone's circumstances I suppose xxx

Orsh · 17/04/2021 06:53

I am so sorry @Freya2015. Hope you will be able to start a new cycle as soon as you feel ready, and that will be The One.

@Crazydoglady123 it sounds like you have had quite a history with stimulation and OHSS. Hopefully nothing like that will happen again. I had overmatured eggs before; post IUI stims and that was bad enough itself. Good that AF showed her face for you. Good luck with your scan on Monday

@Sungirl11 Maybe this short delay is a good thing, as your eggs are not being rushed too much. Naturally it would take 2 weeks anyway. At least that's what I am telling myself 😄. How did your scan go today?

I had a scan yesterday and 2 follicles are 17mm and many more are smaller, so next scan is booked for Monday and potential EC on Wednesday. As my left ovary is behind my womb they checked if they can lift my womb to have access to my ovary and it was very far from being pleasant.

I'm glad you are doing okay @beachbum85. You have great strength. It is nice that shortly you are getting excited again to have your consultation and June/July is not that far away. Even though the waiting is horrible, but as you say I can imagine it it somehow nice not to need to think about it for a little while.
I am looking at FET in July if all goes well.

@H1991M for us it took ages (London), but every trust is different.

@Itstime1 I am sorry you had a CP. Must have been great to see the 2 lines. As you say you can get there again, and much further. You have 1 in the freezer, so you don't need to start from the very beginning this time.

Bethpalmer20 · 17/04/2021 12:48

@imhopeful congratulations such amazing news, I bet you're over the moon! My early scan is booked for the 13th of May, not too far away but feels like ages! I can't wait for some reassurance that baby is OK and everything is normal!

@h1991m as somebody else said, we were also NHS with no waiting time, they actually told us we could start as soon as we wanted. I think it is dependent on area. I'd personally wait it out for NHS, they may get through the backlog quicker than they expect, have cancellations and people that have decided to go private etc, but It's down to your own personal situation!

Hope everyone else is doing well xx

Crazydoglady123 · 17/04/2021 12:56

Sorry to hear you had a CP @Itstime1 😔 Hopefully your clinic will amend your treatment plan for next time and get that sticky bean 🤞

@Orsh what happens with over matured eggs? I feel really confused as my clinic aren't treating me as high risk for OHSS (I even have two Ovitrelle trigger injections!) but on the Clomid I had loads of follicles which resulted in 5 ruptured haemorrhagic cysts, my ovaries were 8.5cm each and I had so much free fluid in my pelvis. The pain and bloating was awful but no one seems to want to label it as OHSS just that I "over stimulated".
Lifting your womb doesn't sound pleasant at all! Fingers crossed for your scan Monday
