My next appointment is 16 week check up 1st July then 20 week scan 28th July. Seems to far away!

How's everything with you?

Yep got midwife on Friday for 16+ 5 week scan. The last four weeks is just guessing, hoping and praying that everything’s carried on well.
Then next scan isn’t til 21 weeks, so I’ve got five more weeks to wait!

@Lou8319 I've been booked in for 30 weeks to see doctor as well but presume I will still midwife in between for that. Can't remember what she said to me now. I'm sure I'll find out next week.

@Lou8319 are your ovaries still big? My right was 6cm at 7 weeks and still 6cm at 12 weeks scan! I've been having lots of twinges on the right side today as well 😟

@6543336787gesgvjhg yes! So glad it’s not just me! At 12 weeks they said it was 43cc (no idea what my that equates to). I was really surprised. I’d had pains up til 7 weeks that was the ovary, but they disappeared. I just thought it’d have shrunk by then!

I had my 12w NHS scan but they didn't do anything as I had the Harmony test and it all came back low risk. (Super happy about it). Also baby was measuring 2 days ahead but they said because it's IVF they stick to egg collection date, so continues to be 11/01/2022.

We already announced to the rest of the world and my sister in law is doing a gender reveal party on the 21st of August for us 😍
I have the gender in my emails and I can't look even though i'm super tempted! Hahaha

Hey @Sungirl11 so pleased for you everything's going well.

Unfortunately not been as great my end. Last Wednesday I went for a private scan to reassure me as that weekend previous I hadn't felt so nauseous so was a bit worried. Typically after booking it Monday morning the nausea came back but decided still to go and clearly my intuition was right and one of my twins hearts had stopped beating very recently (sonographer assumes over the weekend I temporarily lost symptoms). I was 9+3 when I had my scan and had another scan at EPU Friday and other baby is still fine. It's been the biggest head fuck to get my head round. I know I should be so grateful I've still got a baby going strong but I also feel like my baby I've lost gets disregarded so easily because I'm still pregnant. My body will likely reabsorb my lost baby over time and I have a massive fear of scans now atm. I'm 10+4 today and struggling to feel excited which I feel guilty for on the other baby but I also feel like I've lost faith it'll all be okay. My next scan at EPU isn't till next Friday when I'll be 11+5 and then 3 days later I have my official 12 week scan so I'm hoping by then the excitement will return. We arranged a photoshoot the evening of the 12 week scan to tell my DS so the photographer can capture his reaction which he'll be over the moon. I think his excitement will help me get over this too. Sorry to bring negativity to the thread though

@Crazydoglady123. Im sorry to hear about one of your twins that's so heartbreaking.

@Sungirl11 yes day one today. My stinking cold is bothering me more than the injection. Lol Glad to hear you are well.

@Crazydoglady123 sorry to hear your news, but sure your DS’s reaction will pull you through.

@Sungirl11 all ok here. Had 16 week midwife appointment and heard the heartbeat again which was great. We didn’t have Harmony so we wait til scan at 21 weeks for gender. We’re going to find out, just to plan better, but none of the family want to know. Which we always knew, and we just hope we can keep quiet.

@PurpleUnicorn01 good luck, honestly I was dreading all the injections and they were absolutely fine. I found the worst bit is finding it a bit boring to know that every day at x time I had to do it.

@Crazydoglady123 so so sorry to hear your news. I can't imagine how you are feeling!

@Lou8319 I had my 16 week check up today. Heartbeat was 145 - what was your baby's? They said I have low blood pressure and my iron is normal but on the low side so need to add this to my diet more.

@PurpleUnicorn01 that's great news that you have started. You will have a scan soon I bet to see how your getting on. At my scan they didn't tell me anything so don't be too disheartened if you don't get told anything. The rest of the scans I was kept in the loop though. Good luck xxx

I'm well, thanks! We'll be starting our second cycle (long protocol again) at the end of this month, and are hoping for better results in terms of embryo quality this time 🤞 Feeling much better now that we have dates and a plan :)

@Crazydoglady123 i'm so sorry to hear that, you are allowed to feel like that. You are grateful for your baby of course but you can also grieve the loss of your other baby. One thing doesn't stop the other.
Try not to over think too much (I know it's not easy) and trust your little one. I'm sure your DS will be thrilled to know he is going to be a big brother ❤️
Praying next week flies by so you get your scan and feel better. Big big hugs.

That is funny haha my people everyone is crazy wanting to know what it is!! Everyone is asking for me to send them the email 🙈 but i'm like.. sorry no! As if so many people know someone will end up spilling it for sure! They can't wait until the 21st of August (which is really far away haha) but if we knew at anatomy scan like you it would be around then... so they have to take it in that way 😂

So.... last night we had a gender scan! It's a boy  we're not telling anyone until the proper NHS scan. It's lovely that just us two know for 3 weeks xxx

After the joy of finding out the sex Tuesday night I had to go into hospital this morning. Noticed blood on pants and bedding. They said to go in straight away. Heard baby's heartbeat and they have had to do a smear type test on me. Still blood when I wipe and if it doesn't stop they want me back in tomorrow. Any one had anything like this? Worrying times 😫
