@The3rdWatermelon every clinic has different protocols. I had a call on day 3 and got also my fresh transfer time.
But a lot of clinics just call on day 5. Also I'm sure if there was nothing they wouldn't wait for day 5... doesn't make sense. So yeah, no news is good news.

Crazydoglady123 · 05/05/2021 16:17

@Sungirl11 it went okay thank you. 12 collected. Day 1 update and 11 mature, 9 of which fertilised with ICSI. Day 3 update tomorrow and transfer Saturday

@The3rdWatermelon no news is good news they say! Good luck tomorrow

PurpleUnicorn01 · 05/05/2021 16:20

@hazza2021, sorry to hear you're out.

@Lclarke111 that's fab! What was your amh?

@foreverhopeful17 that is fab news

@6543336787gesgvjhg i hope you're well.

@beachbum85 how are you?

Open question to everyone does anyone have a lower AMH and still manage to get a good egg collection. Mine is 6.1 and im so worried now. And what amount of gonal-f or similar were u given if on long protocol.

Thanks in advance.

jolly86 · 06/05/2021 10:41

@PurpleUnicorn01 I have low amh (3) but will be on short protocol. I haven't yet started and like you I am also worried. I understand age is very important in how we respond with low amh.. How old are you? Also I thought for low amh they do short protocol, maybe 6 isn't that low?

PurpleUnicorn01 · 06/05/2021 10:53

@jolly86, i think im on the borderline. Who knows as 2 Drs said it was fine. Im 33. Had to think about that one lol. When does you're treatment start?

Lclarke111 · 06/05/2021 11:39

@PurpleUnicorn01 I'm actually unsure but my levels were good as the issue was my hubby not me so I produced quite a lot xx

The3rdWatermelon · 06/05/2021 12:06

Two survivors! And they’re good quality!

They’ve survived the biopsy too and now been frozen. We have a 2-4 month wait to find out our results and then we will have to have another EC as we need a control sample of two which test positive for my condition to confirm that any which test negative for it really are negative.
I’m so relieved to have something in the bank! I’d convinced myself they were all going to fail.

PurpleUnicorn01 · 06/05/2021 12:13

Ladies quick question for my friend, has anyone been through create, if so how did you find it?

Lclarke111 · 06/05/2021 12:23

@The3rdWatermelon amazing news,

We had 8 tested, we have 2 normal and the rest were mosaic of abnormal. So we are waiting for our next steps for our FET either end of this month or start of June for our strongest which is 6B+B+ xx

Crazydoglady123 · 06/05/2021 12:34

Amazing news @The3rdWatermelon! So happy for you!

Good luck with your FET @Lclarke111

Sooo I've finished crying happy tears. Day 3 update and all our embryos are going strong! 8 of the 9 are of good qualify which apparently is the highest grade they can give at this stage (plus 2 of the 8 are at day 4 stage already!) and 1 embryo is of average quality. Transfer booked in for 10.30am Saturday 🥰

Lclarke111 · 06/05/2021 12:40

Absolutely fantastic news @Crazydoglady123 wishing you all the luck for your transfer, will keep an eye on here to see how it goes, I can't wait to get started now x

PurpleUnicorn01 · 06/05/2021 12:41

@the3rdwatermelon that's great news!

Good luck @Lclarke111

@crazydoglady123 that is so exciting! Remind me again were u long or short protocol and was were your infertility issue?

jolly86 · 06/05/2021 13:16

@PurpleUnicorn01 I am just waiting for my period to start.. in the next few days. We are classed as unexplained- although I have low amh but they don't consider this as a cause- I also had a very early misscarriage in october. What is your issue?

PurpleUnicorn01 · 06/05/2021 13:22

@jolly86 i am classed as low Amh and OH has reduced motility

jolly86 · 06/05/2021 14:04

@PurpleUnicorn01 I see maybe amh is a cause then I hope it can be overcome by IVF this is what worries me.

PurpleUnicorn01 · 06/05/2021 14:06

Yes i just hope they get enough eggs. But ive read on other posts with low AMH having success with it

jolly86 · 06/05/2021 14:22

@PurpleUnicorn01 yes I hope for a good response to drugs and also fertilisation. Low number of eggs may make it more likely to repeat for several rounds I guess but I just hope we don't find more issues on the way.

PurpleUnicorn01 · 06/05/2021 14:28

@jolly86 yes i know exactly what you mean. In a way i just want to get it done with already lol

Sungirl11 · 06/05/2021 15:15

@The3rdWatermelon so you have to start all over again?

@Lclarke111 that sounds amazing!!!

@Crazydoglady123 yay!!! Super good news!!! If i forget, good luck on Saturday 😍

@PurpleUnicorn01 I am 33 now and have a high AMH of 20. I still only got 6 eggs. It's also important how you respond to the medication, with low AMH if you respond how you should, you could get a nice number.

@jolly86 I had very little eggs (6) and here I am pregnant (will confirm tomorrow with beta). And one in freezer.
I have been very disappointed all the way as I was told and reassured I would have 20+ eggs... oops! And thought we would end up with nothing. But heyho! Here we are.

The3rdWatermelon · 06/05/2021 15:25

@Sungirl11 we’ll definitely have to have another EC, but nothing will be thrown away.

If both these ones are positive for my condition then we have our comparison sample and any negative ones next time can got to transfer.

If both are negative they’ll be stored and we’ll try again for two positive ones. If we get those next time then we can come back to these ones for transfer.

If one is positive and one negative then they’ll both be stored through another EC to get the second positive one for comparison, and then the negative one can be transferred.

That’s the theory anyway!

jolly86 · 06/05/2021 15:26

@Sungirl11 that sounds great! 2 embryos out of 6 is also a good outcome. Did you have any infertility reasons?

Sungirl11 · 06/05/2021 15:33

@jolly86 we have male factor. So it was addressed with ICSI. But on day 3 we still had the 5 that fertilised and to day 5 only 2 made it (on day3 male genes kick in). We were told they expected this to happen, but we did get two good quality embryos and we are very happy with it.

@The3rdWatermelon yeah I get it, well you are half way now! And as you say you have those two already. So one more round. And it is important to get rid of these genetic conditions. So it's all worth it.
My friend is having IVF because of a nasty kidney condition she has and they will test them and keep only the good ones. Otherwise they could be parents naturally. But she doesn't want to risk it and i completely understand.
