I am happy to share the experience in details @Crazydoglady123, I am just not sure that everyone wants to know. Let alone the fact that everyone responds differently.

I am sorry you are not feeling well. I was nauseous and hardly could eat anything the last 3 days of stims, had a nerv pain in my left hip from the pressure, etc. But tbh I still feel that EC was much better than expected. Regardless the severe pain for me afterwards. The pain was not near as bad as HSG for me. And the recovery is much quicker. I recommend Arnica Montana (homeopathy) and I take liver support supplements to help my system getting rid if the toxins of the drugs.
Certain movements are still painful on day 2, as well as passing urine. But it's not a biggie, but I am glad I took today off from work.
Oh, and start drinking water as soon as they offer you after EC , cause they won't let you go until you passed urine and for me it took forever. I really just wanted to go home at that point.

1 more thing: I was very upset that my partner couldn't be there with me to begin with, but then I realised that he couldn't have done anything anyway. I was kept busy beforehand, and had my phone with me, and I was happy in my own world (and was very emotional) during my recovery time to be fair.

It is all going to be okay. 🌺

Just received my update from the clinic.
Turned out there were 9 eggs collected (not 8). 7 eggs were mature and 6 fertilised. I am very happy with this.
They will call us on Monday (day5) to let us know how many developed well and going to the freezer.

Sungirl11 · 22/04/2021 10:37

@Orsh that is great!! Do you not get a day3 update? 😱😱 I am already impatient waiting for tomorrow 🙈
Praying our little ones make it strong 💪🏻

Orsh · 22/04/2021 12:32

No, we don't get an update until day 5 @Sungirl11, because we have a freeze all, and they said they rather not bother them, which I am absolutely fine with.

Very very strangely I don't feel impatient (so not like me). I am just pleased still and I believe these little ones do what they need to do at their best. I am always extremely realistic and not getting my hopes up, but this time I am just very relaxed about it.
Maybe the drugs are still in my system 😅

I am keeping everything crossed for your little ones Sungirl to grow strong and to give you the news you wish for tomorrow. So exciting. Can't wait to hear.

In general I am very excited for everyone here, and I am so happy for all the BFP and so gutted and sad for the BFNs. It's a rocky road, but we are keep going forward 🌸

Sungirl11 · 22/04/2021 12:55

@Orsh you are so sweet!
I wish I could be so relaxed! Haha
Makes sense what you say! Mine are in the embryoscope so they don't bother them at all, there is a camera 24/7 and that is how they are monitored (technology hey).
I'm also so glad for all the good news around! I wish it just gets better and better in the following years.

Will give an update tomorrow as soon as i know 🙈😍

Lou8319 · 22/04/2021 14:46

Hi all, been off for a few weeks. Hope everyone is keeping well.

So on Good Friday, I got my BFP. Due to a previous miscarriage at 10 weeks (natural pregnancy), I didn’t want to jinx by saying anything. But today was our 7 week scan And we saw and heard a little miracle.

I’ve had a few sharp pains in the past week, so my mind was going nuts with thoughts of ectopic pregnancy, and the relief made me burst into tears the minute we left the clinic.

What I really want to say to everyone is that I had 5 eggs collected, 2 made it to 5 day blastocysts and I’ve made it this far. I can’t stress quality over quantity enough!

Nik85 · 22/04/2021 15:21

@Lou8319 Congratulations x x x

Sungirl11 · 22/04/2021 15:23

@Lou8319 congratulations!!!
And thank you for your kind words ❤️

6543336787gesgvjhg · 23/04/2021 10:32

@Lou8319 congratulations!! I've got my 7 weeks scan next Friday afternoon. Do they tell you much about the next stages? Did you get a print out picture? So excited for you. I'm 6 weeks 1 day today and had sharp pains last night.

So much discharge today! Sorry if TMI. Anyone else the same? I can't even same it's the pessaries as I just do them rectally now!

@6543336787gesgvjhg we are private, so we now get discharged to our gp and need to make a midwife appointment.
It’s an internal ultrasound, and our lovely nurse showed us the sac, the yolk sac, and our little miracle, heartbeat and all. She then played us the heartbeat. We then got 3 images, and the sound wave image of the heartbeat.

She then showed me my ovary, which was still a bit unsettled, which was probably what the pains were.

@Sungirl11 @Nik85 thank you!

Crazydoglady123 · 23/04/2021 12:23

How are you feeling now @Orsh?

@Lou8319 huge, huge congratulations 🥳

6543336787gesgvjhg · 23/04/2021 12:47

@Lou8319 thank you ours is a fertility clinic so I'm hoping it's similar experience as it sounds amazing!!!!

@6543336787gesgvjhg they’ve been great the whole way through. I’m not looking until we’re further down the road, but as we had the embryoscope, we’ve got a usb with all the images snapped from the time they fertilised til day 5 and transfer/freezing. And we have the image showing exactly when it was transferred.

I know on the whole we aren’t the luckiest bunch of people, but people who conceive naturally don’t get all this. It’s pretty amazing.

Nik85 · 23/04/2021 13:30

I'm having such a bad down day today, I'm 8dp5dt boobs are aching and having a few twinges. I've been fine up until today, and all I've thought about is what if it doesn't work : (

6543336787gesgvjhg · 23/04/2021 15:09

@Nik85 try and think positive. How I looked at it right or wrong was I hadn't had a period yet so that kept me hopeful. When are you testing? I tested 11p5dt and got a very clear positive on all tests. Best of luck. Try and keep busy xxx

I hope you got some great news today @Sungirl11.
I wish we could have our embryos placed with an embryoscope. Out trust is running a study on it atm. So we might be with it, but we are not allowed to know.

Amazing @Lou8319, Congratulations 😊. Sounds truly amazing.

I am sorry @Nik85 you were feeling down today. I hope you feel better since. It is understandable that you are worried, as well as that you are trying to prepare yourself for anything. However it is only a couple of days until you can test and you have been amazing and got so far already. 8dp5dt! You have managed a lot already, you were worried, excited, you waited, and you went through many obstacles. You have great strength, you probably just got a bit tired on this rollercoaster. But your way will take you up soon again. Good luck!

Sungirl11 · 24/04/2021 04:30

Hi @Orsh !!
Thank you for asking!
Yes! Our 5 little ones are doing great! So i have my ET booked on Sunday at 11am! Woho!
One more day to go 😍
I am struggling a bit with the Lubion injections... the liquid stays under my skin on my stomach and it doesn't go for a couple of days or so... i get a little "white" lump and it's painful! But my husband said it's normal as the liquid is very dense and it can do this... 🙈🙈

Bella1984 · 24/04/2021 04:52

Hi ladies

Congrats on the new BFPs, amazing news.

I am personally doing very well physically at 5 weeks + 2 but I am struggling with my Mental health for reasons I won't go in to. I have terrible insomnia which apparently some women experience in the first trimester. Hence the ludicrous time of this message! 😴

Anyway I have decided to take a step back from this thread to focus more on myself and staying well.

I wish you all the very best in your ivf / pregnancy journeys.

Take care xx

granddesigns · 24/04/2021 07:55

Take care @Bella1984 - look after yourself. Hope this progress smoothly for you.

I too am dipping in and out as trying not to obsess too much and already counting days and weeks between appointments etc so just managing myself a little more than earlier on!

Sungirl11 · 24/04/2021 08:01

Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon @Bella1984 we are here if you need us ❤️

The3rdWatermelon · 24/04/2021 09:26

Thank you all those who have posted about their EC experiences. I’m hoping mine will be this coming week or early next week.
I started injections on the 17th. Inhixa and meriofert, followed by fyremadel and dalacin cream on Thursday. The inhixa is giving me very dark purple bruises at every injection site and terrible backache, and the fyremadel gives me raised itchy bumps like nettle stings that last about an hour. The dalacin is just messy and gross!
But it’s such a relief to be doing SOMETHING at last after waiting so long to start our first cycle.
I had my day 7 scan yesterday and they said everything looks just as it should at this stage. So that’s one fear crossed off the list: I half convinced myself that nothing would be happening! I have one dud ovary, which the doctor couldn’t get a picture of last time. It’s now just visible as it’s got bigger, but is still tucked behind my uterus so I had the doctor wielding the scanner and a trainee leaning on my stomach with both hands to try to push it into view. I have quite a bit of bruising there this morning (although with the inhixa and aspirin every day I seem to bruise from the lightest touch at the moment!)
I have the day 9 scan tomorrow and then I should get my date to go down to London (from Leeds) for EC. Having to go on a big trip to have it done feels like it’s magnifying the whole thing!

Crazydoglady123 · 24/04/2021 10:01

@Bella1984 lack of sleep doesn't help anyone's mindset. Hope you manage to get some rest and everything goes well for you.

@The3rdWatermelon my 1st stims scan is Monday. Also having some lovely side effects! Wow that's in half a big journey! I'm lucky our clinic is only 15-20mins away. Good luck for EC

The3rdWatermelon · 24/04/2021 11:16

@Crazydoglady123 thank you! Good luck for your scan!

LJM83 · 24/04/2021 11:44

Good morning all - I've been following this thread for some time now and had my transfer the morning. It was a Grade A embryo (the only one we have after a collection of 9 and 100% fertilization).

The embryologist did say that the embryo had 'reverse cleavage' at some point - meaning it went from 3 cells to 4 and then back to 3 before returning to 4 and from there developing well. Anyone experienced this before?!

TIA x
