IVF Clinic Experiences in the Kingston/Epsom/Wimbledon Areas

Hello I am just wondering if anyone can share their experiences of using IVF clinics in the SW London and Epsom areas. The clinics I have been looking at are NewLife Epsom, Kingston ACU, CREATE Fertility Wimbledon, and Epsom and St Helier ACU. I am based in Chessington.

I went to CREATE in Wimbledon for an initial scan and blood tests, but was not particularly impressed with them. I didn't get the best 'feel' about the place and felt that they were more interested in my money than me as a person/patient. The reviews for NewLife in Epsom seem very good, but some mention that they are more expensive than other clinics. I am just about to speak to my GP about getting put onto the NHS waiting list, but I have heard that the current wait time is about a year, which why I will need to go private if I want to start soon. Does anyone have any experience of recent NHS waiting lists for IVF?

The issue is my partner's fertility, but when I had tests done at CREATE they said my AMH level was quite low, which isn't ideal!

Anyway, any advice or experiences from using clinics near me would be really appreciated and I would be incredibly grateful as I just don't know where do go at the moment. I am assuming the current Covid restrictions will prevent me just visiting clinics without paying for a scan.

Thank you :)

@Cleo84 hi I am in the same area and looking for clinics too so I was wondering if you had any feedback and decided on a clinic? I am looking at Newlife at the moment as they were very nice.

Hi @CarpeDiem75 I went with create fertility in Wimbledon in 2020. Overall I had a good experience and now have a healthy 18 month old. I did the short protocol.
However, I was not impressed with the fact that you had to call a central number rather than having a direct number to the local clinic, this often meant waiting on a hold for while. Not sure if this is still the case.

I used Newlife for my second round, was under Dr Khaled. I absolutely loved them & would recommend them to anyone.

Hey guys,
I know this is an older post but thought may be worth asking anyway. I was wondering if anyone had any past or recent experience with Kingston ACU and their consent protocols around IVF and FET’s. Besides doing a new consent forms each time time you’re doing a cycle and besides seeing your male partner for their sperm sample, were they also made to turn up face to face for at-least one appointment to reconfirm they still consent?
If you can share your experience either way and include when it was as I understand protocols can change periodically.

I have called multiple private clinics who besides consent forms don’t make male partners physically attend medically unnecessary appointments to re-confirm they still ‘consent’. Surely that is the point of the consent forms and surely they are aware of their right to withdraw consent at anytime.

I am a bit peed off he needs to keep taking time off work for this as if he is incompetent and doesn’t read what he signs. It just hammers home our infertility plight and the way it has cost us so much in terms of other commitments.

Anyone who doesn’t mind to share their experience on this even if at different clinics would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks and baby dust to all :)

@M0mmy I just had a failed cycle with Kingston ACU, and their consent process is just horrific! I ended up filling the same form 4times… and they also asked for my partner to be present for the consultation…
Besides that, they’re also really ignorant and careless from the clinical point of view!
