Does anyone know how strict the LWC are with BMI? I've had two cancelled rounds of IUI (not responded to medication) and I'm due to start IVF tomorrow. I've lost over 3 stone by by BMI is still 36, it should be 35. I'm worried sick they're going to cancel the round because of this and could do with some support or experience

I think you’ll be fine. Haven’t been in exact same position but I know that they can have some fluctuation. Good luck with everything!

@BananaHammock23 oh and do you mind explaining what you mean about not responding to medication? Did your follicles not grow enough? I’m worried that’s about to happen to me (in first IUI cycle)

Thanks @Ofpalestsilver - they were lovely when I went in on Friday. They know how hard I've worked to get this 3 stone off so I think they can see I've been trying and we're happy to go ahead.

Yes, I didn't respond to medication as in my follicles didn't grow enough, or rather fast enough! I'd been stimulating for too long and my uterus lining was no longer optimum for IUI. I have PCOS so apparently I'm quite resistant, and I was verging on taking as many drugs as I would for IVF. After two cancelled cycles I wish I'd just gone straight to IVF in the first place! Good luck with your first cycle x

Thanks for explaining your situation @BananaHammock23 I guess if mine is the same I know to just go straight to the big guns. May I ask how far along they got - how big the follicles were and after how many days? Just helps to have as much info as possible. Appreciate it!

Of course @Ofpalestsilver - to be honest I hadn't even considered it wouldn't work and I wouldn't get to the IUI itself. I wish I had been more prepared as I was so upset when it was cancelled, even more so the second time when I thought the drugs could be upped in my favour.

The first time I didn't get any over 10mm, and the second time I got one up to 14mm but then the others started catching up and it got squashed so they all ended up around 12mm. It was gutting but it was good stimulation practice for IVF! x
