After a few set backs, I have finally been given a transfer date (Thursday). And was wondering if anyone else is about to enter the tww. This is my first FET after my fresh failed. Last month my cycle got cancelled and the same nearly happen again. Now I’ve got a date I’m so excited and would love to chat to others going through the same.Xx

@Ro198
Yeah it’s never easy. Especially as they seemingly become pregnant so easily. I had a friend talk about how fertile they were recently and how quickly it happened ☹️
I’m feeling more and more anxious and more negative as the days go on. I was SO close to just buying a test in the supermarket but had to fight the urge. Haha.
How are you doing today? Is that line darkening nicely?

@Needtotalkivf19
Yeyyyyy so pleased for you that you’ve got a line! Was this your first round?

Needtotalkivf19 · 13/08/2020 15:38

@LizTay80 I’m sorry your feeling negative that’s how I felt yesterday that’s why I caved in this morning and tested.
This is my first FET I had a fresh cycle in February which was a bfn. I do use to just seeing the one line I was so shocked when I saw two. Just keeping my fingers crossed now it there tomorrow on the frer.
@Ro198 I’ve brought some frers ready for the morning so hopefully I’ll get the same result
Good luck to everyone getting close to test day xxx

@Needtotalkivf19
Yeah I feel like I know the answer already, I’ll be pretty shocked & surprised if I do get a positive.
Aw that’s amazing you’ve got a lil frostie on board. I have heard the success rates are good after frozen transfers. We sadly had none so will have to go through the process again if we are unsuccessful. My ovaries are currently screaming at the thought of another egg collection 😂😂

🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
Hope that wonderful line of yours keeps darkening day by day!

80SM · 13/08/2020 19:32

@ all LizT
My test date is later than yours - on 24th. I think I’ll test earlier though, I’m not sure I can wait that long.

Ro198 · 14/08/2020 09:35

@Needtotalkivf19 does the frer look darker than the one you did yesterday?

Has anyone else tested today? How is everyone?

Needtotalkivf19 · 14/08/2020 10:37

This is the frer I took this morning, didn’t have any cheap tests to check if it was darker than yesterday. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed it sticks.
@LizTay80 try not to worry about symptoms I was sure it hadn’t worked and was shocked by the result
Has anyone else decided to test early?? Xxxx

@Ro189 First response tests are very accurate so this is good news :-)
My test is at home so no doubt I'll be awake early Friday morning to test!

@LizTay80
I'm so relieved the rain came to cool down the temperatures it was unbearable nothing like being on holiday where there's at least air con!
I'm going to try and hold out until next Friday but I have very short cycles and due on early next week so I think I'm going to test Wed ...

@80SM congrats on the transfer and welcome to the 2ww club :-)

@K670 I know how you feel. I have short cycles and due early next week so thinking of testing mid week to put myself out of my misery! When is your OTD? Is it too early to test now?

@Needtotalkivf19 that’s a BfP congrats Smile

LizTay80 · 15/08/2020 18:18

Good evening ladies

How are you all doing?

@Needtotalkivf19 and @Ro198 you guys still testing daily? Hope those lines are looking lovely and dark by now.

I’ve officially bought the first response ready to test tomorrow. Feeling pretty nervous about it. Just want to know now. Can’t imagine I’ll be getting a good nights sleep this evening.

I’ll keep you posted
Hope you’re all having a good weekend x

Needtotalkivf19 · 15/08/2020 22:59

Evening ladies, hope your all enjoying your weekend.
@LizTay80 good luck for tomorrow I’ve got everything crossed for you. I didn’t test today but I’m going to tomorrow to see if the line still there and if it got any darker. Has today I felt like me period arriving.

Ro198 · 16/08/2020 06:51

@LizTay80 good luck today! Well done for waiting so long.

I have been testing but they haven’t got that dark. I had really really bad pains last night. My beta is tomorrow (finally).

LizTay80 · 16/08/2020 08:21

Thank you @Ro198 @Needtotalkivf19

We got a positive pregnancy test result this morning! I’m so shocked I couldn’t believe it.
I also got stage fright and couldn’t wee at first 😂

Did your clinic book you in for your beta?
Ours just told us to call them with the result. Didn’t know what happens next?!

Ro198 · 16/08/2020 08:44

Yay congratulations!!!! GrinGrin I think all that happens next will be your early scan! Clinics do either beta or ask you to test at home.

Needtotalkivf19 · 16/08/2020 10:20

@LizTay80 yay 😁 congratulations 🥳 I totally understand about been shocked but now enjoy been pregnant!! All clinics are different I choose to do a home test rather than beta has I live 2 1/2 hours away from clinic so tomorrow a nurse will ring me with the result and I’d it still positive they will either book me in for beta or scan on around two weeks time xx

Thank youuuuuuu! 😘 @Ro198 @Needtotalkivf19

Just called the clinic and left them a message as nobody is there on Sundays.
Guess it’s just another waiting game now til the scan 😂
@Ro198 Bet you can’t wait to finally have the beta test. Have you got it early morning?

@Needtotalkivf19 was tomorrow your official test date? Hope that lines looking strong for you. I get what you mean about it feeling like your period is coming. I was adamant a few days ago mine was.

Ro198 · 16/08/2020 15:08

@LizTay80 yes my test is at 7am so getting it over and done with nice and early! Hoping I can relax a bit after I finally reach the test day!

Ro198 · 20/08/2020 18:31

Needtotalkivf19 · 20/08/2020 20:02

Ro198 · 20/08/2020 20:56

Hi @Needtotalkivf19 it doesn’t seem feel real for me either!

I have OHSS and have been in hospital for a few days so I have had multiple beta tests now. These were mine:

254 - 11pm 10dp5dt
293 - 7am 11dp5dt
476 - 11am 12dp5dt
991 - 11am 14dp5dt

Good luck for your result tomorrow!

LizTay80 · 20/08/2020 21:15

@Ro198
I’m sorry to hear you’ve been in hospital with OHSS, hope you are recovering well now.
Sending lots of well wishes

I don’t know anything about beta blood tests or results but all I do know is if the numbers double that’s a good thing so congrats!

Good luck for yours tomorrow @Needtotalkivf19

Is it worth me requesting one through my G.P? I’ve only done a couple of urine pregnancy tests and our clinic have booked me in for a scan in a few weeks but it still doesn’t feel real to me. Been feeling absolutely fine aside from really tired this week, but work has been super stressful which hasn’t helped.x

Ro198 · 20/08/2020 21:25

Thank you @LizTay80, hopefully I will recover soon, it has been so painful!

If it will make you feel better I would request one, it did feel more reassured temporarily. I feel like now the 2ww is over for me it’s just on to the next stage of waiting.

LizTay80 · 27/08/2020 10:38

@Ro198
How are you getting on? Hope you are out of hospital by now and recovering well.

Hope everyone else is doing ok?

I feel super stressed out at the moment and unsure who to talk to about it. It’s mainly work stresses, I work in a busy hospital and since I’ve been back I’ve been struggling to get full breaks or getting lunch relief so having it super late. I’m really worried about the impact this is going to have on my little embryo. I feel afraid to take time off again as I had so much off already isolating when going through this journey.
😞

Ro198 · 27/08/2020 10:44

Hi @LizTay80 I’m doing okay thank you. Been out of hospital for a nearly a week now and feel so much better!

I would feel the same if I had to see people in real life, it’s such a tiring time and must be worse not being able to eat and rushing around. Can you use up the remainder of your annual leave as soon as possible and then take any additional time off as sick for your appointments etc? After the first few months hopefully you won’t feel as stressed and will be able to work usual hours again.

Lightningrain · 27/08/2020 12:43

Hi all, hope you don’t mind me joining this thread.

I should be starting my first round of IVF very soon as I’ve just got a nurse consultation appointment date for 2 weeks’ time.

I had some of my tests done before lockdown but couldn’t get referred until I’d had an HSG once things started up again.

Basically I appear to have low ovarian reserve (low AMH and antral follicle count for my age). I’m told that this will reduce our chances but I guess we’ll have to see how it goes. Things have progressed more quickly than I thought as I was expecting there to be a backlog after lockdown.

It all seems a bit surreal at the moment. I’m not good with needles but I guess I’m going to have to overcome that! I think I’ll get DP to do the injections as he’s not squeamish at all.

I’ve just been reading through your messages and it’s all a bit foreign to me at the moment but I’m sure I’ll be clued up on it all shortly.

I’m trying my best to get back on with healthy eating and exercise as I think I’ve put on at least half a stone over lockdown. I had a hamstring strain and couldn’t do my usual running and HIIT. I’m still having a bit of trouble with my leg and haven’t dared get on the scales but making a real effort now to get back to where I was (top end of normal BMI).

Does anyone have any words of wisdom for someone just starting the process?

Ro198 · 28/08/2020 21:24

Good luck @lightninggrain. The needles aren’t bad at all if you ice the area first, you can’t feel them.

I would say to chase your clinic whenever you feel you need to as mine tended to be quite slow at replying, ordering medication etc unless prompted.

Sort out things like dental appointments and hair dye before you start.

Other than that the only thing you can really do is wait so I kept as busy as possible to try and keep my mind off of it.

Lightningrain · 29/08/2020 22:05

@Ro198 I’m hoping this process will cure my fear of needles if nothing else! It’s not really the pain that bothers me but more the thought of it. I’ve read other people’s comments about bruising across the whole of their stomach by the end of it so the ice tip might come in useful.

The clinic have seemed to be fairly on the ball with the tests so far and the fact that there was no waiting list seems promising.

My dentist check up has been cancelled due to Covid and I’ve been told not to rebook until October so there’s not much I can do there. I might just have to wait until the cycle is over before I book in. Hair colour just done so that should be ok until after providing I can start on my September cycle.
