Anyone else having transfer this week??

After a few set backs, I have finally been given a transfer date (Thursday). And was wondering if anyone else is about to enter the tww. This is my first FET after my fresh failed. Last month my cycle got cancelled and the same nearly happen again. Now I’ve got a date I’m so excited and would love to chat to others going through the same.Xx

@Ro198
Wow that’s absolutely shocking. So poor on their part with you having to deal with all their mistakes, whilst going through this stressful journey.
Without a doubt, it’s a good idea to change clinics, maybe put a formal complaint in if you ever feel up to it. It’s awful to have other women go through that.
I take it you were NHS not private?
Our clinic were pretty poor at first on the communication front. It’s such a slow, long drawn out process. We’ll likely go private for our next round if this is unsuccessful as ive already been told how busy the NHS is and it’ll be months to start up again.

Ro198 · 10/08/2020 14:43

@LizTay80 no I am private! They are cheaper than other clinics though so I imagine that is part of the reason. I have been trying to get treatment on the NHS for 18 months and got nowhere.

Hopefully neither of us will need to worry about going through this again anyway!! 🤞🏻

LizTay80 · 10/08/2020 14:55

@Ro198
It’s still a lot of money to part with I can imagine so you shouldn’t expect those mistakes.

YESSSS indeed! I have everything crossed 🤞🏽
I hope you manage to keep busy during the next few days. I’ve ended up googling how long it takes for the trigger to get out of your system so I can test early 🙈
I’ll keep you posted if I break!

Hope everyone else on here is doing well x

Ro198 · 11/08/2020 11:57

I’ve given in and tested as today is 5dp5dt and I’ve read it’s probably the earliest date you can test on. There is a faint line! I tested 3 days ago to check the trigger shot wouldn’t give me a false reading and that came back negative. I will check again tomorrow to see if the line gets darker and then daily from now on.

Has anyone else given in yet and tested?

LizTay80 · 11/08/2020 14:15

@Ro198
Eekkkk how exciting for you! Hopefully each day it’ll start getting darker and darker.
Is it correct it takes between 10-12 days for the trigger to get out of your system?

I’m 6dp5dt today and I’m soooo tempted to test but I still feel so afraid to 😕

Ro198 · 11/08/2020 14:27

@LizTay80 I had the trigger 12 days ago so it should be okay!

I’m still not getting my hopes up yet, I’m just treating it as part of the process I’m doing if that makes sense. As soon as I did it I felt relieved that some of the waiting was over and I could do something proactive again. I didn’t look at it for about 30 seconds though which dragged!

You’ve done so well to wait this long! You’re nearly there now!

Cisco2 · 12/08/2020 07:20

When is everyone testing?
Congrats @ro198 hopefully the line continues to get darker for you.
My test day isn’t until next Friday so hanging in there until that day arrives!

LizTay80 · 12/08/2020 09:07

@Cisco2
My test day is this Sunday. Trying hard not to want to test before but we’re away Friday night so that’ll hopefully take my mind off things.

How are you feeling?

@Ro198
Have you re-tested again today? Hope that line is getting darker 🤞🏽

I had a bit of a panic last night, was adamant A.F is on her way! Exactly the same stomach cramps, plus I had an upset stomach which I always get around the same time. 😢

Ro198 · 12/08/2020 09:25

@LizTay80 I had the same cramps last night and my test date is 1 day after yours. It felt a bit like my period but milder and ended after a couple of mins. Did yours feel the same?

I don’t think it’s any darker, it looks around the same but it’s not lighter. The screen is a different colour for some reason so it’s hard to tell. Hoping it gets darker tomorrow! Here’s a picture of it (if it works as I’ve never uploaded before)

I can’t believe how well everyone has done holding out!!

Anyone else having transfer this week??
LizTay80 · 12/08/2020 09:50

@Ro198
Yeah it did feel exactly like that, just a bit of a heavy dull feeling too but it’s gone this morning. Apart from some intermittent cramps on my right side.

Ohh yessss there’s definitely a distinctive line there. To me it looks slightly darker in your day 6. I get what you mean about the screen being a different colour though.

Haha to be honest I’m envious of you testing early. I really want to but know my partner won’t be very happy about it.

Cisco2 · 12/08/2020 10:52

@Ro198 that’s definitely a line! How exciting for you! Smile what tests are you using?
@LizTay80 not long to go now! Going away is a good distraction. How are you feeling now? Are you still getting cramps?

I had some twinges yesterday but otherwise feeling fine. I hope that was embryo implanting nicely in there!

Is anyone else testing next week?

Ro198 · 12/08/2020 11:15

@Cisco2 I feel more positive than at the weekend but I still don’t really link the lines with a potential pregnancy, just that I’m through to the next day of the process. I’m using first response tests so they are more sensitive than others.
What time is your test on Friday, is it a blood test or are you doing it at home?

@LizTay80 my partner wanted me to wait, I persuaded him to let me by promising I wouldn’t be any more dramatic about it than I was already being, I would either be as pessimistic or slightly more optimistic so it wasn’t going to make me worse!! That seemed to work haha

LizTay80 · 12/08/2020 11:45

@Cisco2
Feeling absolutely fine now thank you,
apart from being ridiculously hot!!
I’m hoping the cramping was the embryo embedding itself well in there too 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽
Hope you manage to keep busy up until next Friday. Do you think you’ll hold out til then?

@Ro198

Haha! That’s a reasonable agreement to come to! I haven’t got any tests in the house yet as I know I’d break. 😂

80SM · 12/08/2020 14:32

Hi ladies,
I had a transfer today. I still can not believe it. I'm feeling some bubbles inside. Is it normal? No other symptoms, even no spotting so far.

Ro198 · 12/08/2020 15:01

@80SM congrats on having the transfer done! I didn’t have symptoms at all until a couple of cramps yesterday evening but I think it’s different for everyone

K670 · 12/08/2020 15:30

Hello everyone! How are you all doing? Is everyone feeling okay? I have no symptoms apart from the side effects I was already experiencing from the progesterone. I'm feeling really negative and deflated. I started to get some twinges in my ovaries the last couple of days like a normal cycle when my period is coming and today I fully feel like my period is coming. I'm not convinced I'll even make it to my otd at this point. Feeling pretty low.

I hope you guys are all doing okay and managing to stay positive! I have everything crossed for all of you! 🤞🙏☘

@Ro198 Congratulations on your positive test! That is fantastic! Hope it's made you feel a bit better!

Ro198 · 12/08/2020 16:01

@K670 sorry to hear you’re feeling deflated. Maybe we feel like this because of the medications we are taking. Hopefully your period doesn’t come. Are you still going to wait to test on the day or earlier?

K670 · 12/08/2020 16:33

Thanks @Ro198! It's a rollercoaster isn't it? Yeah I've definitely not had a good time on the meds so praying it's just that but I just have a bad feeling. I was thinking of testing a couple of days early as I don't think that'll make much difference but my husband wants to wait! 🙈

LizTay80 · 12/08/2020 17:44

@80SM
Congrats on having your transfer today. Hope you have a nice chilled evening planned. I didn’t have any spotting, not sure about the bubbly feeling. I had cramps from days 1-3 and felt a bit of discomfort, but I think this was still following the E.C as my ovaries were still pretty active.
I’ve had a lot of bloating too.
When’s your test date?

@K670
Sorry to hear you’re feeling a bit deflated. This process is one massive mental challenge. Don’t forget you’ve done amazingly well to get to this stage, keep persevering with your patience. Hopefully that b**ch A.F doesn’t make an appearance.
I felt the same yesterday, I had convinced myself I’m out and a bleed was due, still feeling like that a bit now but it’s intermittent.
Let’s hope A.F holds off and we both get everything we hope for 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

80SM · 12/08/2020 18:17

all LizTa

Thank you. I actually just had some mucus with tinge of blood - freaking out a bit now. My test date is on 24th. Yours?

all Ro1
Thank you. It has been a long journey for me

80SM · 12/08/2020 18:18

P.S. I’m having troubles to link my answers to names. How to do it?

LizTay80 · 12/08/2020 21:43

@80SM

Aw I’m sure just a tinge is nothing to be too concerned over. I would call your clinic up just to be on the safe side. It might be from where they cleaned the cervix if you’re a bit sensitive there. As I have friends who bleed following smears and they said it’s pretty much like that.

Mine is this Sunday (16th)
Starting to feel more nervous and agitated as the days go on. Just found out another friend is expecting too. As much as I’m always so happy for them it’s such a blow. 😞

Ohhh to link you use @ then their name xx

Ro198 · 13/08/2020 10:52

@LizTay80 when other people announce it feels so painful, I feel for you, it’s a horrible time for it to happen. There’s a very high chance it could be you next though!! Do you feel any better today now you’re another day closer?

Needtotalkivf19 · 13/08/2020 12:48

Hope your all well and the wait isn’t dragging to much. Sorry I haven’t posted for a while was trying to put it at the back of my mind which wasn’t easy. I was so convinced it hadn’t worked I took a cheap test I had at home this morning and I think I got a faint positive. I’m not getting my hopes up to much, has I’ve seen other post tests a lot clearer at 7dp5dt but it’s give me a little boost. I’m going to get some frer today and try again in the morning. I’m just keeping my fingers crossed the faint line there again.
@Ro198 congratulations on your positive that’s a lot clearer than mine.
Has anyone else tested early?? Xxxx

Ro198 · 13/08/2020 13:11

@Needtotalkivf19 congrats on getting a line!! I’ve been reading about it loads and apparently the main thing is that it gets darker, it doesn’t matter if it’s really faint initially. I used a frer which is really sensitive so my line would be darker on that than if I used a normal test like you did
