Thanks @chimp58537 - I’m private with the fertility partnership. They are closed at the mo but I have a telephone consult with the consultant on the 30th following the BFN. I was just trying to manage my expectations as I want to stay positive and ‘look forward’ ( if this is the right terminology ) to starting again ASAP when clinics reopen . I don’t have any children.
Trying to stay positive and proactive.

@Xx40yearsyoungxx I would be exactly the same. You will need to give your body at least 1 month break, that could be this month, then who knows restrictions may start lifting.

My DH has a suspected mini stroke in Feb, he has been waiting for hospital appointments, they contacted him last week to schedule an appointment, they said they were slowing starting to open uo again. So I imagine and would hope the clinics will follow suit next month or possibly 2?

Xx40yearsyoungxx · 26/04/2020 18:51

Yeah hopefully it won’t be too soon !

Hope your DH is feeling better and has a speedy recovery x

Chimp58537 · 27/04/2020 00:42

It will be here in no time xx

DH feels ok, was just a scare we could have done without. Not had the greatest few months in regards to health. Hopefully it can only get better Smile

@41trying hi, apparently I'm 7weeks and 1 day, our lil baba was small and my ovaries are still really swollen (?). I have to go back next week...

Hoping everything is on track next week. Abit nervous now. They didnt know why it was smaller than it should be, nurse said it could be bcoz it attached a few later than they thought??

FairyAnn · 29/04/2020 07:28

Hope all goes well for you Chimp! We have our first scan in two weeks and it feels like such a long way away.

We're with Care Nottingham but have our scans and check ups at Boston.

Chimp58537 · 29/04/2020 19:17

@FairyAnn thank you. Goodluck with your scan, will keep o everything crossed for you and hope everything goes well. Xx

Hi all

Hope everyone is doing well ?

I’m pleased to see that clinics can now apply to reopen and In preparation for that I have spoken to a consultant who wants to put me on a long protocol again ..... my AMH is 15 so not low low but also not great.

I’m reading up on the short protocol and wondering what protocols you guys did to get your BFPs . Do you have experience of both? What did you prefer ?

Thanks in advance

@Xx40yearsyoungxx that's brilliant news. I did think of you when I read that the clinics are opening. How long of a 'break' do you need before you can start again?

I dont know whay protocol I was on...just looked at my plan again. It was originally an 8day one but during my scans that week the doc said I needed to extend it for 2 days extra.

Good luck Flowers

41trying · 02/05/2020 11:49

Hi all,
That's good news @Xx40yearsyoungxx.
I have done 3 short, I cancelled cycle, and 2 with no fertilised
Then went onto long, 1bfn and this pregnancy.
Short seems better as there is no down regulation and only 7to10 days of meds. But long worked for me, everyone is different depending on there needs I suppose.

OP posts:
Xx40yearsyoungxx · 02/05/2020 13:45

Thanks both .

I think I can start as soon as they open depending on when my cycle starts ..... I’m due to start around 19 th
If I went on the long protocol which my clinic prefers I would start down regulation 21 days from then and then stimming so seems ages away . My understanding is that I could start short protocol during that period at the end of May ( Dr agreed long protocol with me on the phone on Thursday but now I’ve researched a bit more I’m not sure whether I should give SP a go ?)

@Chimp58537 - seems like you were on the short protocol

41trying · 05/05/2020 16:37

Afternoon all, I hope all is well with everyone?
@Chimp58537, have you been for 5our scan yet?
@FairyAnn, when do you have your scan?

OP posts:
FairyAnn · 05/05/2020 16:44

Mine isn't until next Wednesday. Seems to be dragging by so slowly

Chimp58537 · 05/05/2020 22:31

@41trying yeah went for scan today. It was not good news. Embryo hasn't grown and I'm heading for a MC next 7-10days. Absolutely devastated. Was emotional when the nurse told us, then during the day I seemed to have accepted that this was a realistic outcome and this is part of the whole process. But just spoken to my mum, the only person we had told and I can't stop crying.

DH is struggling too but I think he is trying to keep it together for me. Does anyone know of any support groups for men out there?

FairyAnn · 06/05/2020 07:15

So sorry to hear that ☹️ can't imagine what you're going through

Xx40yearsyoungxx · 06/05/2020 07:38

@Chimp58537 - I’m so sorry . Heart goes out to you both . X x x

Chimp58537 · 06/05/2020 08:35

OP posts:
FairyAnn · 13/05/2020 19:26

It went well thank you, got to see the heartbeat ❤️ was gutted my husband wasn't allowed in but understandable.

Was thinking of you Chimp, I'm so upset for you xx

Chimp58537 · 13/05/2020 22:33

The deed hasn't happened yet, I've got to go to the hospital on Friday...

FairyAnn · 20/05/2020 21:02

How are you @Chimp58537? Flowers

Chimp58537 · 20/05/2020 23:40

@FairyAnn, Ok now, I think, thank you for asking xx

Turned out I had had a missed miscarriage, which meant the embryo has stopped growing and was a miscarriage but my body didn't bleed straight away. Having the bleed now. Just want it over with tbh. Just want to have my next period then get ready for the fresh transfer.

How are yoy getting on?

How is everyone else?
